Wow what an amazing palace . The beautiful landscape, the water fountains the trees and of course the palace . The paintings on the ceilings and walls is simply stunning. It gets very crowded but the place is so big you won’t even notice .

Nymphenburg Palace park is vast - plenty of different buildings, gardens, trails, streams, and animals to see. The exquisite composition of formal garden elements and English-style country park is considered a masterpiece of garden design and the spacious complex of palace and park has always been a popular attraction for local residents and tourists alike.

It's a beautiful place, but I couldn't enjoy the beautiful scenery. The weather was bad. It was raining. But I liked the geese that grazed on the lawn near the palace. It was very nice.

Wonderful park in the centre of Munich. Beautiful scenery and buildings to be seen. Even some wild deer can be seen hidden in long grass while feeding.

Entry to the Nymphenburg Palace Park and Gardens is free. They are a marvelous place to walk with stunning views, lush woodland, lakes and canals, ornate gardens, and the Grand Cascade. I walked miles here and saw plenty of flora and fauna, including deer and a variety of ducks, geese, and heron. Toilet facilities are available. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place to take a walk through the park. I was here in the winter, and I wish to go again in the summer, because I have a feeling that everything is so different when vegetation is alive. I visited it at Sunday, after 4 pm so I couldn't go inside of the Palace, that is one more reason to go there again.

Huge park.. I see many people cycling and running. Can see the whole palace from this park. They have a gondola too.. we can ride the gondola by purchasing a ticket. There is a restaurant in the park and 24/7 drinks automated machine.

Honestly nothing exciting to see here. Especially if you visited the Sissy Palace in Vienna. The palace has like 9 or 10 rooms to visit and everything else was closed. We didn't manage to see the sleighs or the royal carriages and maybe that played its part. Gardens were closed due to the heavy snowfall the previous days. The scenery with the frozen lake was outstanding though! Maybe it worth a visit during the spring!

The palace of Nymphenburg is one of the stops on the Hop on Hop off bus. We enjoyed walking the garden, this is free of charge, no entry fee to the grounds. To see the palace inside is about €8 Euro, self guided tour and it takes about 30-40 minutes. You can also purchase a full tour, €13-14 Euro and that takes 3 hours and that includes a guide. To have the recorder with descriptions of what you are seeing, well organized by room numbers, which means you can go in whichever order you want. The rental of the recorder was about €3 euro each. The palace has original furniture, some of the wall coverings have been replicated from original designs. Great spot to stroll though and enjoy some history.

This park is huge and really walkable. It’s definitely worth visiting if you are in Munich. Note that no bikes are allowed inside, so you need to leave yours outside.

Beautiful... except of the front part with the castle. Great for jogging but unfortunately is cycling not allowed and dogs have to be on a leach. There is a lot of deer and birds in this park. Lovely! Also very beautiful old trees. But I still find the front part to be ugly. In my opinion the whole park should look like the second beautiful part.

Well manicured and maintained park with flower gardens, fountains, lakes, streams, open fields, and forested areas. Excellent for a stroll, picnic, and taking photos along the canal. The park is home to several deer, but also full of geese, ducks, and their poo (so watch where you step).

As I said previously in my palace rating, a must visit area in a rain free day. A park full of awesome statues, fountains, grass and flowers.

Huge park with nice canals and woods. Went there at the end of the winter for birding and it was a wonderful experience. Very relaxing and quite.

Nice palace, it's big in area so spare some time to go there. Lot's of places to see. Nice garden for the photos and very chilled vibes if you walk towards the Temple . Easy access by tram and short walk.

This is a beautiful place. You should visit here probably in the morning because there are too many things you need to see here. Unfortunately one day trip to the palace is not enough to completely enjoy the beauty.

What a beautiful park. Any season this park welcomes you. It’s beautiful in the snow, in the summer heat, in the autumn golden colours and on the torrential storms. Runners frequent it. It also has great small constructions to discover while you wander around. Fully recommended for a small trip from the munich city centre

Kind of huge park, pretty nice, good for a walk. I would recommend a sunny day but anything goes 🙂 A lot of greenery there and a few buildings, I didn't like the fact that there are only a few entrances and a wall around the whole thing, but maybe that wouldn't be a problem if I had any skills in using a map.

  • 5/5 Marie T. 1 year ago on Google
Such a beautiful park, very big with lots of hidden gems to discover. We could observe few animals. I loved my time there, it was my favorite in Munich. I hope I can come back again !

Fanatastic English style garden in center of Munich. Nice little 30 minute walk around a park. But if You purchase all-round ticket there are 4-5 attraction to visit Hunter house, Bath house, Relax house (this is rough translation) :), but worth while visiting.

It's one of the loveliest and prettiest places I've been to. Very easy to get to by public transport. Busy as its tourist attraction, but defo worth a visit and a fab day out combined with the botanical gardens.

Go to place for long walks in greens. Canal, lake, landscaped gardens, and fountains add more zing to your visit. The Scholss is also fantastic inside and must be every tourist must go list. Entry is free

The 15 euro ticket is worth the beautiful Palace and excellent maintenance. The toilets are also well maintained and clean. The horse carriages are also beautifully maintained.

Really an absolutely incredible park. Coming from Canada, it was an absolute treat to say hi to some Canadian Geese. I must say, they were some of the most polite Canadian Geese I've ever met. In Canada, they are ruthless and dangerous to say the least. The park offers some wonderful bird watching, with plenty of royal birds to call the magnificent gardens home. A really wonderful place for a stroll and a picnic. The park is filled with waterworks and hidden monuments all throughout. One of the highlights of Munich for us!

An Amazing must see attraction when visiting Munich, which is easily accessible via bus / U-bahn. It’s set in lovely expansive grounds, great for a picnic and leisurely stroll whilst you take in the natural beauty of your surroundings. The Schloss itself is magnificent building dating back to mid 1600s. The trust have done an excellent job keeping it in great condition to reflect its previous day to day use. Worth a visit.

Nice, quiet, peaceful. Were there just for an hour or so. August 2021. The walk along the canal was very pleasant and relaxing. Definitely going back to explore more and visit the Palace.

Really bad preserved and not a good visitor experience. If you go, just walk on the gardens and forest. Don't pay to go inside.

Schlosspark Nymphenburg is a beautiful castle with a great documented history. You can pay around 15euro to tour the main house plus 4 other important villas. The gardens are impressive with the many statues lining the walkways. Huge parking lot usually full on weekends. The villa is peppered with tons of art work.

  • 5/5 Madalin F. 2 years ago on Google

Mandatory stopping place in Munich. In addition to being the palace where King Louis II was born, you can also visit the coach museum and the magnificent gardens (among other attractions, the Chinese pavilion and the temple of Apollo).

  • 4/5 Darlington “Tony” M. 1 year ago on Google
Lovely trails to walk or run on and lots of park benches in different spots around the park. I didn't get to tour the inside of the building because I got there just before closing time, but I'd definitely recommend it for a quick get away to relax, have some quiet time, read a book or even meet some friends.

  • 5/5 Gaelen M. 1 year ago on Google
While the castle itself is beautiful, we especially enjoyed walking around the gardens and exploring all of the other, smaller buildings on the property (extra fee for visiting the outside buildings). I would recommend your visiting these buildings and the gardens before going through the main castle. The gardens are grand! Be sure to walk all the way out to the far end of the waterway; you will not be disappointed. There is also a lovely cafe on the grounds which had a good selection of food for our lunch. We enjoyed this visit a lot!

  • 5/5 Andy D. 2 years ago on Google
Fantastic Palace to view and at the price of €8/person, very good value. The artwork's on the ceilings are stunning beyond belief. The grounds are enormous and are well worth the visit on their own, and are free to go into. We spent several hours just walking the grounds, there are, thankfully, plenty of shaded areas along the routes/walkways and seating approximately every 10m-100m, depending on whether you are on the main grounds or within the trees.
