Brought an injured bird here and they were SO kind and welcoming. After finding the bird I didn’t know what to do. I called around to animal clinics asking where I could take him & everyone acted like it was a waste of time for me to save a small songbird. Finally I found this place on google - I never realized it was a rehabilitation center for animals! I called to see if I could bring him in and everyone was super nice. They gave him pain meds and put him in an incubator. I’m not sure if he ended up needing to be euthanized, but if he did, at least he did not pass away on the cold concrete in a parking. Thank you for helping this poor animal! It’s nice to know there is a place close by that rehabilitates wild animals.

Wonderful experience at a toddler birthday party. Clean, modern facility with puzzles, birds, fish, snakes. Both indoors and out. The planetarium show was both entertaining and on-point for toddlers. We had a great morning exploring!

Love it here! The animals ate so sweet, it's great free option of something to do with kids. We also did the Toddler planetarium show and my little guy loved it! The girl who runs it knows exactly what to do to make sure the kids don't get scared and stay entertained. And it's only $4

I visit this location very often. I love how they rehabilitate the animals and keep those who may never be released back to the wild. Very educational and lots to learn. Description cards with valuable information is everywhere. They hold a lot of events that will educate you and your children. Love the small trails. The bunny loop trail is my favorite, they hold outdoor activities on the platform. You can also donate while you are there, or you could stop at the gift shop to remember your day. Great place to take photos and create memories. Very safe as well, police and fire station is right next door.

This place is really cool for a free destination. They have a nice selection of local animals in and around Ohio, as well as fish that call Lake Erie home. It's a great place to teach kids about the Great Lakes. While visiting we were lucky enough to have volunteers out with the snakes, allowing visitors the opportunity to interact with them and ask questions. I am big for facilities that have engagement from employees and volunteers, it makes for a more enjoyable experience. In short if you live in North East Ohio check it out. It is not a whole day designation, but a few hours.

Kyle was condescending and proceeded to tell me all the things I had done wrong with rescuing an orphaned baby bunny from my yard after my dog killed it's mother. He wanted to shame as a way to "educate". I had phoned Penitentiary Glen earlier, and they were so friendly and gave helpful kind advice. It was night and day! Different advice, so all the more confusing. I just wanted another opinion. Kyle if you read this you are doing native animals in Ohio a disservice because no one is going to want to seek help from Lake Erie Nature if you are going to talk to people with a condesending attitude. People are just going to go their own way and not contact anyone and try the best they can, and it might be totally wrong. Pen Glen said I did a great job. We'll never know for sure. All I know is I saved a 1 week old bunny from certain death from the cold and downpour. So I'm pretty proud of myself.

This center is one of the best I've ever been to in NE Ohio. It's a great place for kids of all ages. There are many different animals inside plus a number of awesome animals (mostly birds) outside. Staff is helpful & friendly. The entire center is clean & well designed. It's a must see if you're near Huntington reservation. Also be sure to check out the trail behind the center & keep your eyes peeled for some animals in the woods. There are lots of them to spot!

My three kids and I absolutely love this place! Not only are there awesome birds, sweet amphibians and reptiles, an operational beehive, cool fish, classes offered, but on top of all of that they have a planetarium! Plus, kids (and maybe adults) can take classes there and if you find an injured animal you can bring it there and they will help rehabilitate it!! This place is so awesome!!

Beautiful place, extremely nice people, and I believe they're open 7 days a week. I was calling around every where trying to find a place to take a baby kestrel that was brought to me, and they were more than happy to help, including finding a place that has a kestrel nest with babies around the same age and add it to a new family. Also very willing to give information on the progress of the baby. Wonderful place and people ❤ I highly recommend it!!!!!

Loved it. Brought my kids here. Lots of animals to see and learn about. 3 different owls, an american eagle, crows, ducks, falcon, fish, turtles, snakes and more. Well worth the stop.

We love how well cared for the native animals are, and the education geared toward children to learn about the world around them and encourage empathy. The planetarium has cute shows too!

Fun facility with lots to see and even occasional events. Dozens of animals that are cool for kids and adults alike, and lots of little facts and exhibits along the walls. I brought a group of 5 - 7 year olds for their Easter egg hunt and it was a great taste of what the museum has to offer. My favorite parts are the outdoor animals and walking trails. It's small and once you've gone about 5 times you've seen it all, but it's a super easy and fun way to entertain a family for a day!

Very disappointed in the lack of animals outside. I was told they are redoing the outside area, but there was nothing on the website to indicate that. We drove 50 minutes to take my grandson and were left disappointed. I use to take my class there before I retired from teaching and I remember a lot more animals. The planetarium was great. Probably won't be back.

My experience with Erie Science and Nature Center was amazing and I cannot wait to check out all the programs they offer! I brought a squirrel to them and they are currently nursing it back to health to release in our backyard again. Kyle at the center was super helpful not only over the phone in giving advice but also in person handling the squirrel and answering any questions! Thank you so much!!

Clean nature center. Nice staff. A bit smaller than I anticipated inside. We walked a short paved trail, good for little kids. Able to eat at picnic tables after a walk across street.

A great, free hour with the kids. Indoor and outdoor animals with a live bald eagle lend to a great experience. Planterium shows are worth the $5/person fee and the sign-up.is easy online. We come very often!

A small nature & science center but worth the visit. Went to two planetarium shows and are beautiful and stunning to look at. Definitely worth to check out on a trip.

I took my granddaughters to the Wonders of Wild Life Program. The instructor (Anna) was wonderful. She was so good and patient with all the children (and it was a large group). The program was very interactive and she really kept the children’s interest.

👍👍 Come see the waterfall!!!!! 10/10 spot to check out if in the area. This waterfall is even worth the drive in my opinion, I drove 30 minutes to get here. Bonus points for it being so unique of a location. Note that there is no trail or associated hike, you park in the lot, cross at the crossing sign...
