This place was a total disappointment for me and my family. We were a group of twelve and stayed in the big house as they call it. The place itself was amazing, the rooms and the house were above and beyond of what we expected, but the service was really poor. First we arrived and had to wait for the person who does the check-in and the house to be available, when it finally was we headed there and planned to do some of the activities that we saw they had in their website and instagram ads like wall climbing, go karts (paid separately) or buggies(paid separately) that actually were the things that motivated us to go there. When we asked the lady if we could rent the buggies she told us that they were broken, then we asked for the go karts and guess what? They were unavailable as well. All right, we said and decided to go wall climbing but then they told us they didn't have any climbing harness. It was actually really disappoint that the only things left to do were go to the pool or to sleep because the wifi over there does not work and there is no cellular network. At lunch the food was OK, but they served just a little portion and at the time you are done with that and go to the table for more there is no more food. That happened on dinner too. So here are my ratings •Service 2/5 •Amenities 4/5 •Rooms 4/5 •Activities 2/5 •Food and drinks 3/5 -Overall 3/5

Awesome experience, extremely attentive staff. But the place is cozy and rustic on purpose. The point is to enhance the experience with the natural surroundings.

Unfortunately due to COVID-19 the place was closed till recently and its in need of some major cleaning and yard work. There is a pool and some bikes you can ride down a rocky road. Aside from this none of the other activities advertised are available. The rivers in the area have been closed till further notice due to the pandemic. I understand alot of this has to do with COVID which is why I think the price should be more reasonable.

An adventure from start to finish.....as Canadians traveling from Punta Cana to the Helpa Eco-lodge it was beyond our expectations....to experience this lush off the grid resort like atmosphere in the Dominican Republic reminds us of being in cottage country with a tropical spin.....even though our Spanish is very limited the staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was incredible.....the food was amazing and the service was 5 star plus....this resort is something that we would recommend others to experience while visiting the Dominican....thanks again for showing us an ECO friendly lodge that we will talk about for years.....

One of the best eco-hotels here in DR, rooms are very small and exposed unless you rent a cabin in which case is pretty private and secluded, there is a clean river nearby, horse rides, a small zoo, a standard pool, and local food restaurant. Its very expensive tho'.

What a magical spot! In the middle of the country, quaint, lovely quarters and the staff is so friendly and eager to please. There's a nice pool, a bat and restaurant, all of them with a very tropical country flavor. Will definitely visit them again.

Amazing place, just like where its located(Loma pán de azúcar) . Everything is peaceful here. Away from the noise of the city and not too far from the city using Samaná highway from Las Americas. Gives you the welcome of heaven. The staff are crazy amazing. The only problem is the road when you get there that need to be fixed, specially when it rains. If rain occur and you're in there, stay to sleep over, or leave before it starts to rain. It just 10 minutes of bad road, then, its all good. Hostal nothing expensive for the place. All natural drinks. Next year, 2019, my first stop would be here for longer time. Safe for childrens. I wish i can give more stars. 🕺💃
