I came here two nights in a row with an extreme allergic reaction all over my body. The first night the staff were understanding and overly competent, and they cared I was uncomfortable and needed help. They gave me a prescription and regiment and I went home. The doctor told me if it happened again to return immediately and I might need an epipen I returned when it happened again, whole separate staff, didn’t listen to me, didn’t care about how I was feeling, and told me I needed to continue the prescription regiment I was given even though it didn’t help. The doctor barely came near me, and didn’t even attempt to examine my body. I am still here now, no one has come in and checked on me in over 3.5 hours. The staff are all extremely incompetent and rude. You’d think they would care about their patients since it is well, their job?

The personification of incompetence, specifically registration. I'm still trying to fix an error they made in February, that they "fixed" 10 times. On the same note, billing is also a thrill to deal with 10 times, fixing nothing 10 times. The docs are great. Most of the nursing staff are great. Security officers are great. Housekeeping staff are great. Management, administration, and registration needs to be replaced yesterday. I find it odd that the most incompetent people are in charge of people's insurance and essentially their finances. Do better.

I went to this Emergency room yesterday for a lot of different symptoms I couldn’t eat for two days, throwing up, stomach pain, headaches, etc... first when they placed me in the room and there was no garbage can or anything for me to throw up in. Then they took my blood pressure a couple different things they did that OK. Then came for them to take my blood work, there was a male nurse with a tattoo on his left bicep that was very disrespectful and rude. The male nurse asked me where can he get the blood from-point to where other doctors take blood from??? Isn’t he supposed to look and find a vein to get the blood out of I thought that was his job. Then they sent a female nurse in The room that looked at my hand for a vein for 10 minutes then found one and left the room to go get a needle for five minutes. She came back and stuck me and got no blood, then the head nurse a female came in and said the only thing they could do is use an ultrasound system with a 4 inch needle, I let them try it they were twisting and turning the needle it was extremely painful I started to cry she rips the needle out of my arm and tells me there’s nothing they could do because I do not want to take a needle and sends me home. They we’re very disrespectful and impatient I WOULD NEVER GO HERE AGAIN

Staff is nice however, the service is extremely slow for no reason . Better off going to urgent care or somewhere else.

The staff is nice, but I went there today with a left arm rendered useless thank to calcium deposits (aka bone spurs) and they didn't really end up doing anything to help me. There are various treatments for severe bone spurs (and I've been kept awake by the pain with mine for some 48 hours, so I'd say this is a fairly severe case) and RWJBarnabas applied NONE OF THEM. So basically, I came in for a friendly chat with their staff, then went back home - La-di-da!

Worst emergence room ever!!! I was there with my son yesterday and they were very rude and unbelievable!! My son was injured and he is a young boy and the front desk lady her name is Cecelia Fernandez was so racist to me and my son she could not even help the young boy because of her hateful thoughts. She was very rude and unbehaved she ignored me speaking and she would shut me up and tell me to go sit even though she talks to other people in the room. She let every one in but nit the child in pain. Not only that, but after I talked to the manager and filled a complaint about her, the whole staff was rude and gave me and my son very bad attitude. The doctor didn't even have the intentions to help and she was very ridiculous the way she was talking to me and my son was the worst. She said she will prescribe a medicine and when I went to the pharmacy nothing was sent. I kept calling to request my mess to be sent over to the pharmacy and they never helped. The doctor even refused to help. This is the worst emergency room ever. There job is to help people but what they actually do is only make it difficult for you. Never recommend going to that place if you need help this place is the worst!!!

This is why I hate going to the er. I got there a little before 10am. Been having a serious fever for 4 days ( now 6) with horrible body aches and chills. Went to see my regular Doctor first at 8:30am who did testing but sent me to the ER when nothing came up. The place was practically empty, only 2 patients before me. Why is there only one person to register you?? Terique was the only kind and EMPATHETIC employee as well as another male nurse with purple hair. A rude nurse had come in with the fluid you drink for a CT scan and was mixed with apple juice. I can't stand apple juice and I was already nauseous from the fever (they gave me nothing for the fever until hours later, an hour before my discharge. When I said it, he slammed the cup down in my face and said that I have to drink it to do the scan. I asked for something else to be mixed in. He refused and just gave it to me plain, which made me even more nauseous. Terique and the purple haired nurse gave me extra blankets and put cranberry juice and ice with the liquid. I was able to take it. I then was left in the room for hours with no one to check on me. Was hitting the call buttons to contact the nurse. I would hear the beeping go off but they literally just ignored me. All i heard was laughing. I was so miserable and cold and in pain. I cried. The fever and chills were so bad I started to sweat beneath the blankets. I wasn't given any relief until an hour before my discharge. I left at almost 5pm when I got there before 10am. Imagine laying there shaking and sweating for hours. They couldn't even find anything and I'm still suffering. Please stay far away.

Varney,Scott A, PA treated me at the Emergency Room Department he was professional, informative, and took the time to explain my symptoms. He did not hushed our patient time together. Overall the staff was great. More staff are needed, so the wait time is not as long as Grand Street ER. Thank you Dr. Varney.

Tareek for intake, Dr. Susan O'Brien, and Rose Ferrel could not have made our experience better. My son's first visit to the emergency dept., and he actually asked to go back! What an important day that could have gone so much worse. I can not thank the staff enough. In and out in an hr. Thanks so much for making my son's experience enjoyable.

This place is the worst place to come when you have an emergency situation. My dad went there yesterday with swollen foot, he was not able to walk, they did an x-ray and the lady who was supposed to read the picture was actually not paying attention to what was in a picture because she was eating her lunch/dinner. They diagnosed him with gout, gave him steroids and told him to go visit his primary doctor in couple of days. My dad was able to get into podiatrist today. They did x-ray again and it was not a gout!!!! His bone is broken and part of it chipped off!!!If he wouldn go to the podiatrist today it might’ve end up even worst than the ortopedhic shoe that he has to wear for two weeks. They dont care about patients, they fool around, waiting time is very long. I dont reccomend this place at all because they dont even know how to read an x-ray!! If you have an emergency stay away from this location.

Very bad place.I came here because my calf is swollen. After taking X-RAY and DVT. the doctor said that I had no venous thrombosis and prescribed me some anti-pain medication, but my leg didn't hurt, but it was swollen, I asked why my calf was swollen, he doesn't know. On YouTube, I found out more than I received help in this pseudo-medical aid. I do not recommend this place to anyone. .

The worst place ever. My Dr. Was M. Daw and since her departure. Her replacement was terrible no wonder they can maintain their staff. I have been trying to get my medical information forwarded to get health care in my new state and with our professional medical courtesy no one is responding. What doctor tells staff members they can not provide prior medical history update for a patient because they moved out of state. You have my records you treated me and was paid now you don't know me !

I put one star but that place doesn’t even deserve any star! Worst emergency room ever! Very rude and very racist front desk and nurses. They don’t want to help. Unless you are a certain ethnicity or religion, otherwise they will be very rude. The worst person I have ever met was cecelia fernandez she was the front desk lady and she was the worst!!! Very racist and rude and hateful behaved. If you are really looking for help never go to that place! That place is the worst!!!!

Called the only number listed for this hospital several times and no one answer the phone, no recorded messages, no call directory to help guide you to the department that you need info from... like is this a joke? How is there an entire hospital running and no one is answering phones?!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Nurses there did not want to be working and were very loud and clear about that with one another. That might have been the most poorly run ER I have ever seen and I have been to Bayonne Hospital.. joke!

Exactly what I needed after a wreck. Wait time in general wasn’t bad. Got to a room after waiting 10 mins, saw doctor 15 mins after that, and imaging was performed and results were conveyed super timely. The staff was super kind and patient. Would come back again.

I went to the er this morning around 430-5am due to waking up with horrific back pain and spasms from pulling my back the night before. From the moment I walked in I was treated with excellent care and attention. There was no one else there really and I was in and out in about 1.5 hours. As much as I hate medication the dr explained that it would definitely help me and it most certainly did. I am very very pleased with my experience here! Everything was super clean also unlike bayonne medical center’s er! I’m so glad I made the decision to come here instead of the medical center! Thank you for everything today!

I have been to this ER several times, for both me & my son. I’ve had some unpleasant experiences. But today, was one of the better ones. Dr WILKES was great. Bedside manner was great, listened to me, spoke to me politely.. Showed that she really loves her job. The wait process is horrendous from when they first opened, but pleasant experience today to say the least. Thank you Dr Wilkes ❤️

I took an employee to this facility was not happy with the service level and time required for x-ray and stitches. I would recommend Jersey City Hospital and not this annex. I was hoping it would be an upgrade from Bayonne Hospital.

I wish more people in this world would show the compassion he did... Thank you Tatum for an amazing experience in a ruff time for my family..

My husband and I have been there several times. Some issues, but overall, good service, testing and treatment or advice for treatment. Some issues need to be addressed through your Dr or specialist, not the ER. Anyway, it's MUCH BETTER than the other choice in Bayonne - THAT ER is a disgraceful death trap.

I visited the ER room this early morning with severe pain due urine burning, I gave the nurse a simple of my urine, he gave me an injection for pain and sent me home, I didn’t even know the result of my urine test. I stayed less than 10 min at the ER. No idea why they treated me like that

I just left this place but before I went I looked at the reviews and I was so surprised by all the one stars yet I went away. Bad idea😡I’m too frustrated to go into detail but after I left I called because I had a question the most ignorant person answered the phone refused to listen and literally hung up the phone on me. I ended up going back to the hospital in excruciating pain. I’ll NEVER return here not that it matters to them. Please don’t go here if you need help. Horrible

I would give this hospital -100000. They are extremely slow and didn’t want to admit my dad in after seeing how much pain he’s in. Despite the other people letting us go ahead of them they didn’t let us and my dad sat there in pain.

ER satellite is clean and looks nice. Staff need more training on customer service. PCT does not introduce himself, does not acknowledge or explain what to do. And when asked what the vital signs are you get an attitude “ it’s good” I know it’s good, I need to know the numbers. His name is Lio. Unprofessional PCT reflects the leadership here compared to the main hospital.

Pros: I can always get an appointment. Cons: I can never get a primary doctor, only students. They misdiagnosed an ear infection, had to go to urgent care after two visits of failure. I just broke my foot. They insisted I go to them instead of the hospital so I did. A week later, I'm still without a cast because the student doctor was too busy trying to give me a flu shot. Thank God I'm getting a boot from a real doctor today. Needless to say, I'm changing doctors. It's not that they don't care, it's just they keep messing up.

The RWJBarnabas in Bayonne is my favorite place for emergencies based that I received the best treatment. The doctors come in to see me and they care, in 2022, I was in emergency with blood clog immediately they ambulance took me to Jersey City Medical Center. I do not have words to express my gratitude to the Barnabas Bayonne because they save my life.

Horrible went in with really bad pain in my back side and they did A ct didn’t find anything other things that I would rather not say and they gave me fluids then had a nurse come and read me that I have a swollen lymph node And then they told me there was nothing else they could do for me and told me I should go to a speashlist and sent me to the wrong one then that doctor sent me to another which was the right one and with my insurance I have copays which a specialist is 50 a visit and the hospital came out to $1,210 and they sent a second bill out for a doctors reading me my results which I did not have read by a doctor And the same symptoms I left there with I still have over month later would not recommend either jersey city medical centers

Please avoid this center at any cost. They don't have proper doctor available and all the care is provided by nurse practitioners who are very very rude. Specially one Ms. Rhiya . They don't provide proper care but keep the patient in room for hours. They will also not allow to meet doctors as they have none. They would keep drawing blood for every couple of hours and will just keep telling you that they are waiting for reports. And finally they refer to Jersey City medical center. But they charge hefty. In my case they Charged $14,000 for almost 6 hrs stay and my insurance paid only $10,000 so I have to still pay them from my pocket. All this for just drawing blood and their rude behaviors. I didn't agree with their advice and left hospital without transferring to Jersey City medical center. Next day I visited my primary doctor and resolved my issue immediately. My doctor laughed on these nurse caregivers advice and told me I did well to not follow their advice. Save your money and time but if you really need help directly go to Jersey City medical center.

Went with severe pain and swelling on my knee after a fall. Triage had me in in 3 minutes, I sat from 1:30 until 4:10 waiting for a knee X-ray. Nothing was given for pain, no ice pack, they didn’t even ask if I needed anything sitting there . I left being told “no fracture”. Went to an other dr today , I have multiple bone spurs and a slight fracture and and old fracture. I was told this place was better than Bayonne hospital, at least Bayonne would have at the least given me and ice pack and something for the pain. Admitting n triage were quick, other than that, I’ll go to jersey city’s medical center god forbid of an emergency . It wasn’t the care I got , it was the LACk of care. Horrible experience
