This is a great coastal area that has a playground for children and even a musical instrument area outside. Lots of people come here to fish, crab, and barbecue under one of its many pick nick areas. There is also a small nature center and learning plaques throughout the parks nature trails. There was a huge Nurture Nature Festival yesterday that is free to the public. Any other time there is a small fee per person to enter the park daily. We hiked 5 miles here today and only covered about half of the available trails.

Wish we could’ve spent more time here. Great children’s playground which was open when we visited on Saturday, August 29, 2020.Great different spots for fishing as there were many people fishing. Lots of picnic areas to be able to have a sit down meal in shade under a pavilion. Would definitely enjoy coming back in the future. There is a cost per adult (13 y/o + and child (3-12 y/o) but we felt it was worth the price for the family fun we had.

I was raise in Brownwood since I was born. (1970 ) Hurricane Alicia was the storm that devastated our community. I miss this place so much. I was able to bring my mother (Barbara) to Brownwood to find our old driveway. Brownwood will always be our home. So many memories of riding bikes, fishing, crabbing, hiking,Christmas, birthday's with family and friends. Excellent community in its time.

It's beautiful with lots of areas to park. The different trails are great for adventure. The water can be seen all around with plenty of fishing spots both out in the open and more secluded. I loved the playground with it's educational leaves around. Definitely will be back.

The park is pretty and well-kept, and is well worth the $4 admission (or $40/year). The San Jacinto monument is clear as a bell from here…

I visit here regularly to look at the wading birds mostly. They're always easy to see and photograph. I also enjoy the hiking trails and taking the grandkids to the unusual playground!

If you want to go on a nice nature trail hike, this is the place. Great view of the San Jacinto Monument. Awesome views of the water, and I saw a lot of wildlife. Bring bug spray!

I love this place and so does my son. The lady who works the gate is so very friendly. She works on Saturdays. So many different fishing spots. Seen a few people speeding but I did see the police around.

Nice place! A little disappointed with the $4 bucks per adult entrance fee but an ok $1 for senior citizen. The bear's ear needs fixing as well as the Baytown Nature Center theater. There are 2 porta potty restrooms and no water sink to wash your hands. The grass is well maintained. They also closed the exit road, an inconvenient.

Another great place for birding and bird photography along the gulf coast. This place falls within the migratory pathway of the migratory birds during their seasonal migrations, and they can be located here during the spring/autumn seasons.

I watched my family members crab all evening, but mostly I Bird watched, and filled my camera with wildlife pictures, and a perfect blue sky with water birds flying high! I was let in free 78. My Son and wife $4.00 each. Perfect Day trip from Huffman, TX. I can't wait to go back. There is still a lot to see! The children's Playground is wonderful place for children to play and learn about Nature!

Definitely a hidden gem for baytown. If you like to fish and have a safe place for the kids to play, the nature center is a good place to go.

This place is very nice. The waterfall is very pretty. The flowers are beautiful and the gazebo is nice just to sit and look at everything. Also the 9-11 area is a very nice tribute to all those people who died that day.

It is beautiful! We were actually here for 9/11 National Day of Service, doing weatherproofing on all the wood fixtures, but just being in the park was relaxing and they have a pretty cool looking play area for kids with more than just your average playground stuff. For example, a giant xylophone :) People were fishing, there are hiking trails, picnic areas... I can't wait to come back and explore as a guest!

Cute little spot to fish in the bay. We caught some blue crab and pulled up a jellyfish. BRING BUG SPRAY! The wind gets a little cray at times but it’s nice when it’s hot out. The kids enjoyed playing at the sea themed park and exploring the musical toys. There is an observation spot on a little hill, where you can get some great bird photos. The only down side is the restrooms 😬 I’m not a Port-a potty fan. Entry fees: Adults 12 and up $4 Kids are $1 I can’t remember the other prices they had listed.

Great place to do some salt water fishing without leaving land. I caught plenty of red, trout, drum, etc. Multiple docks, picnic areas, stage, really nice. I don't like the chemical plants being so close though.

This place is awesome didn't see any wild life but there were nice trails. We went on a picnic and I proposed to my fiancee there. I will definitely go back and visit again. No dogs allowed. Was like $4 to go each adult.

This is a great park! There is a small entry fee, depending how many people visit and their age, but well worth it. The park is a former subdivision that got flooded so many times, it was decided to take down the neighborhood and let nature reclaim it as much as possible. This is one of the top birdwatching spots in the Houston area. You can see all other sorts of wildlife (rabbits, possums, reptiles, etc) as well in the nature trails. There are many fishing spots and it also has a picnic and playground area as well.
