My daughter, husband and I loved it here. It was our first time and the volunteer that showed us around has a wealth of knowledge. They have great art pieces for sale and it's definitely an awesome place to take the kids to do some learning! It's free, but donations help them out tremendously!

Worth a visit if you're in the area. You'll learn about local history, ecology and marine biology. The center is philanthropy-funded with a focus on education for the purpose of conservation.

This is a wonderful place to take kids to learn about fish and for adults there is a party boat - the Salty Dog Cruise - that goes on the River Estuary. You can see the Atlantic Ocean while on the boat. We were very fortunate to see 2 dolphins swimming together while on the boat! Friendly crew and good service from the Cafe there which has wine and appetizers. Highly recommend!

Great place to bring the children and grandchildren. Great displays and exhibits, some are hands on. We were there when a school group toured. They were able to pet snakes and alligators. Our grandson was able to pet them as well. I highly recommend a stop here.

This is a really great place to go with family and learn about a lil history and some locally found marine life common to the area. It is free and the staff we met were very educational and even took us over to the classroom building to see more items. I'd like to go back and do a boat education trip in the future.

What an amazing attraction! Super friendly staff and we learned so much about the area’s flora, fauna and history! Plus, who doesn’t like live aquariums and fish tanks!!

A cool place to stop by for a little while. Doesn't take a lot of time to tour but has some kid friendly exhibits, lots of art, as well as lots of local history exhibits.

I liked seeing the Sheep's Head and other local fish in their aquarium. The docent's were welcoming and informative. The large map of Port Royal Sound and surrounding areas really put things in perspective!

Kids got to learn a lot thanks to the staff that gave us a tour. Also saw a baby gator and lots of other cool things. If you want a cheap place to take the kids you should buy please donate or buy something from the gift shop to support them.

We love this center! It’s free—though donations are appreciated. There is an art showcase, a beautiful map of the area, some history exhibits, and lots of animal exhibits and live displays. The volunteers are very kind and knowledgeable. We have attended a story time in the past and it was great as well.

This was a fantastic place to visit! So much information in one little building. The volunteer was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable! We loved all the tanks with fish etc. And the dock to the sound was gorgeous and clean. Free admission (donations welcomed) with small gift shop and lots of local art.

Worth a visit or more. Fantastic large map of area on the wall. Kids there really enjoyed the exhibits. Wish the shopping would be expanded. They do a good job on a budget here. Johan at front desk was friendly and knowledgeable.
