You can see that the camping is not there main income and is not on there priority list. Ablution was clean and neat. Don't miss the mascots on the tabel at reception.

Always worth considering as a stop over. Rooms clean and neat. Staff efficient and friendly. Ample parking. Restaurant on the premises.

It's a mediocre place to sleep, not great but not bad. Overly expensive for what you get. Very poor cell phone reception, but true to form you can buy very expensive WiFi.

Only a positive experience at this guest farm. Highly recommended to all travellers.

It is an undeniably convenient location for a one night stop-over if traveling between Jhb & CT. But, now that I've stayed in the less-desirable Beaufort West several times as well, one may just as well stay there to be honest. There're more choices. Unless for some reason, you're needing to get a bit further in your trip on a given day, in which case Travalia is the better choice. I was put into a room in the main house because the chalets were booked. It was ok. Not great and not really worth the R750 charged. There were also some annoyingly illogical things like no hooks for towels in the shower. There's a massive garden on the property but the units in the house don't have a view of them; and have less than convenient access to them; a complete waste. The food was average for it's price. And although the receptionist made up for it on my arrival, our telephone interaction was strangely uncomfortable.

Room space is great and works well for small family. Nice and quiet but reception not the friendliest and not seeking to anticipate your needs. Assumed wifi was free, but only 100mb, which was my fault. A little overpriced to pay nearly $30 for extra guest:(

We stayed in unit 26. The aircon was leaking. The shower was very weak and the ablution facilities are below standard. The extractor fan in the bathroom didn’t do much. There was only a microwave, and Travalia’s food menu was very overpriced. R150 for a single small portion plate of food. Food was nearly 40 minutes later that agreed upon time. However, the quality of the food was very good, and very delicious! The service at reception was very good. The staff were extremely attentions and helpful when we had an issue with the electricity. The linen and bedding were of top quality and the spaces were very clean. The pre-arrival procedure and communication was organised and seamless. The staff conversed well in English and Afrikaans.

Used as a midway stop down to the coast. Food was nice and accommodation was clean. But please be warned, if you accidentally leave anything behind, you will not get it back! A pair of diamond earrings and a kid's jacket were left behind and a couple of hours later when we realized, the unit had already been cleaned and items were surprisingly not handed in. I had to keep following up with only a shoulder shrug from front desk. A week later I was told the earrings were indeed found on our unit but given to another guest who claimed they were hers. ?????? Won't stay here and won't recommend it to anyone due to this bad experience.

Beautiful place situated on a great spot outside of town. Rooms are modern, neat and well equipped. Service from staff are excellent and very friendly. Definitely the place to pick if you're planning to sleep over in the area.

The accommodation is 5 STAR. We stayed in unit 25, a duplex unit. The unit itself is generously spacious with everything that you need for a one night stay over. The bathroom has a good shower, we felt that the towel rail/hooks could have been closer to the shower - making it easier to access your towel once you get out. It's a fairly large bathroom, and the rail was more than a stretch away from the shower. We were only supplied one full toilet roll, and less than a quarter on the roller, which was inadequate for 4 people, we booked out with one block to spare - cutting it very fine, and we literally rationed the loo paper, or we would have run out. Dinner was expensive and below average. We ordered lamb shank which arrived dry, and we had to request gravy (none supplied), the vegetables were pretty much unidentifiable, and appeared to be cauliflower/broccoli bake which was horribly overcooked and under seasoned. Spanish style rice which did not compliment the lamb in any way whatsoever. Some mint sauce for the lamb would have been wonderful. There are fridges in the reception area where you can purchase beverages, wine, beer, spirits, etc and they are all very reasonably priced. We found this very convenient. There is no stove in the unit, only a microwave. All in all it is a lovely, clean and well maintained establishment, the sleep quality and comfort are excellent, the staff are friendly and efficient. It's a good option for a stop-over on route between JHB and Cape Town.

I stayed twice during the week at Travalia. My first stay I got a room with a aircon, water in the fridge which was wonderfull. On my return journey I received a room, without aircon or water in the fridge. Both rooms were the same price. I had to ask for a fan for the room as there were none.

Lovely facility and new units, but unfortunately the single bed collapsed and broke, whilst I was asleep. I had to sleep in the lounge on the sofa, which was extremely uncomfortable. No compensation or alternative offered, accept an apology.

This place is just wonderful. The rooms are better than good, the food delicious and the people are so helpful and friendly. I can recommend Travalia more than 100%

Neat rooms. Good value for money. Decent dinner. The only minus is the foul smell in the toilet after we had a bath (could be the drainage).

Hotel class service and accommodation. A perfect stopover on the way to, or from the Cape. We ordered their braai packs for dinner, followed by Belgian Waffles. They even packed the fire for us. The rooms were clean and well furnished, comfortable beds. And breakfast at the farm stall the next morning is a must.
