Kudla Family Restaurant

We visited Kudla Family Restaurant for a late lunch, and since they were close to ending their lunch service, we had to place all our orders at once. There was a bit of a hurry while ordering — the staff were also rushing as they were about to close — but everything was managed smoothly enough. Being a vegetarian, I tried the butter kulcha (₹35) and paneer ghee roast (₹390) — and honestly, the paneer ghee roast was one of the best paneer dishes I’ve ever had. The masala was exceptional and completely worth recommending. Our group tried a long list of dishes: bangda masala (₹190), veg biriyani (₹240), ghee rice (₹180), paneer toofani (₹310), prawns masala (₹520), crispy chicken (₹270), dragon chicken (₹380), chicken biriyani (₹290), chicken ghee roast (₹630) and more. Everyone enjoyed the food — flavours were excellent across the board. The chicken ghee roast is a must-try according to my friends, just like the paneer ghee roast. They also serve liquor, have a decent ambiance, and there is parking available, which is convenient. Overall, a great place for flavourful coastal-style food with good variety.

Staff were polite and gave warm welcome. 1st floor pure veg section 2nd floor veg plus non veg Ambiance is ok like,dim lights Cleanliness well maintained Service is good We tried paneer butter masala,cheese garlic naan and veg hakka noodles Great thinng is with plain hakka they give you 3 containers of soya sauce,chillysauce and vinegar water. Cheese naan was way too expensive and was tasting raw. Otherwise an affordable place

Baby corn pepper fry is luvly Pav bhaji is just ok, but it was drenched too much with butter, they should provide bhaji lil more. Kulcha is good Baby corn pepper fry ok, not great Pani puri not good Dahi puri ok Quality has gone down. Not recommended.

Lovely place to have satisfying meals with proper ambience and fine seating. Service is good as we had ordered chicken ghee roast with no complaints, only found a little added coloring. Mutton biryani was excellent in taste with soft chewy pieces and good masalas used. Overall found this place perfect and we enjoyed the entire lunch with sipping aerated drinks. A place to be remembered.

Had an early morning breakfast and was pretty sumptuous and wholesome. The Mangalore buns were soft and the plain dosa crispy and fine. The sambhar was tasty and chutney in the right consistency. The coffee was delicious too. Parking space could be an issue. The interiors are well done up giving a cosy feeling.

Very local mangalorean bar and restaurant. I always go here as I love their food. Not a fancy place.

The service was excellent, which made the overall experience pleasant. The food was really good, especially the anjal and other fish items, while the chicken urwal was average. In general, the food can be a bit of a hit or miss depending on the dish. Parking is available, though it can sometimes be tricky since the place is at a junction.

I'm a frequent visitor here. Their dishes are great. Chicken ghee roast for non veg and Paneer ghee roast for vegetarians is a must try dish here. The spice combinations in these dishes are very unique. Try this with Neer dosa. For vegetarians: the Veg platter over here is not that great. For non mangaloreans: They also have a Bar menu together with dine in menu.

Our recent lunch visit to the vegetarian section of Kudla Restaurant presented a mixed bag. The Hot and Sour soup was just okay, unfortunately being too spicy for our liking, which wasn't what we expected. On the brighter side, the Crispy Paneer Fry was good. However, the Schezwan Veg Fried Rice was a major disappointment; it wasn't hot or even warm, had hardly any vegetables, and was very dry. This item truly let us down. A significant concern was the lack of hygiene. We encountered numerous flies around our table, which constantly bothered us and detracted from what we hoped would be a pleasant meal. We spent a good part of our time trying to shoo them away. On the positive side, the staff provided good service, and the restaurant offers a reasonable amount of vegetarian options. The pricing seems fair. Parking can be a bit challenging as the restaurant is located at a busy junction. While there are many vegetarian options and good service, the issues with the fried rice and especially the hygiene (flies) make us think twice before visiting again.

One of the finest family restaurant. Weekends are fully occupied and need to wait for our turn. Chicken gheeroast was too promising! Biriyani had too much of clove and cardamom which spoilt every bite. Roti and kolpuri was upto mark!!

A well maintained restaurant in Jyothi Circle Mangalore. The place is much clean and neat. They serve all kinds of food like North Indian, South Indian and Chinese Styled foods. The people who serve the food ate kind enough not to make us hurry. The food quality is best in and around. The place is much crowded and we have to wait for our order to be served. If you are in hurry, this is not a suggestion for you. The price is not too high, but moderate. If you visit Mangalore next time, you can surely have a visit to "KUDLA" for lunch or an evening snack.

This place serves authentic indian cuisine. 👌 Good and quick service. Friendly staff.

We had dinner here . It was dal tadka plain roti and nan, veg biryani and in the end we had black current icecream whish was really tasty . Dal tadka was tasty and veg biryani was average.Little disappointed with cleanliness floore was really dirty.

The chicken ghee roast was delicious. The service was quick too.

Once amazing, now disappointing. This used to be the spot for incredible chaats, paneer ghee roast, and masala dosas back in my college days. Now the flavors are dull, the quality has slipped, and the seating area is far from clean. A shadow of what it once was.

I am not talking abt the taste or the quantity which is good. But the excessive red colour used is shocking. Wonder how this Kudla Veg Restaurant is escaping from authorities when there is ban on use of colours in food items...little colour is atleast ok....but all 3 items, crispy paneer, gobi manchurian and mushroom chilli had too much colour used....my hand fingers have become red as if I have touched red colour paint or powder ....terrible........this is not acceptable

We ordered chicken lollipop that's was so nice and crunchy but when we order chicken gravy and tandoori roti that's was so bad experience and also bad test roti was burnt and also test less please improve your roti quality ... Setting arrangement and staff is good but roti and chiken gravy quantity is so bad 🥲

I truly believe that every restaurant around the world has one or two star dishes that stand out, and also the place is known for it. This place sells best chicken ghee roast I ever had , and also really amazing fresh fish tawa fry. Rest of the menu isn’t that great. So stick to these and enjoy the food!

We recently visited this hotel. The ambience was good, the service was quick .The food was average — I’d rate it around 7/10. However, there were a couple of disappointing experiences. By server -Since we are diet conscious, we specifically asked for Diet Coke multiple times (4–5 times), but we were still served a regular Cold drink. If we had known, we would have ordered something else. Also, when we asked to pack the leftover food (which I usually like to give to a dog), the staff member just handed us a plastic cover and told us to pack it ourselves, and the way it was said felt careless . I genuinely felt a little embarrassed, as if I was asking something wrong — though it’s a very normal request. Overall, the place has a nice setting and quick service, but I feel there’s a need for more attentiveness and courtesy in customer service.

Worst experience at Namma Kudla Restaurant! Visited at 9:05 pm and waited till 9:35 pm, NO ONE came to take our order! Called out for service TWICE, but the staff just ignored us. Absolutely shocking and unacceptable service from the hotel staff. We walked out from the hotel after waiting for 30 minutes. Would NOT recommend to anyone. Pathetic.

Rates are to much high
