Love
Aragunnu
campground.
My
friend
did
see
a
death
adder
though...
I
have
stayed
in
North
campsite
(amazing
place
-
incredible
Aboriginal
sites),
Point
campsite
(again
lovely
-
prone
to
flooding
though),
and
this
stay,
I
camped
at
Burrawang
campsite,
which
was
idyllic.
Although
the
toilet
system
is
not
working
and
the
stench
was
overwhelming
some
days.
We
stayed
in
the
two
campsites
closest
to
the
cliff
overlooking
the
beach.
There
were
gorgeous
'veranda'
spots
overlooking
the
beach.
Great
place
for
taking
your
camp
chair
out
and
drinking
the
morning
coffee
or
watching
the
ocean
as
the
sun
set.
Thing
to
note
in
this
area
there
are
small
marsupials
called
a
Potaroo.
We
saw
one
as
we
were
in
the
car
and
it
was
meandering
across
the
road.
Little
pointy
nosed
animal
-
very
cute.
The
second
time
I
saw
one
was
when
I
was
sitting
on
the
'veranda',
enjoying
the
view
and
one
zipped
passed
me
-
it
absolutely
flew
passed
me
in
a
blur.
Myself
and
my
fellow
campmates
had
walked
back
and
forth
from
the
campsite
to
the
'veranda'
many
times
during
our
stay.
It
was
through
knee/thigh
high
fern
and
grass,
so
I
do
my
anti-snake
walk
(stomping,
slapping
my
thighs
and
singing)
as
I
came
and
went.
On
one
of
the
last
days
we
were
there,
my
pal
was
about
to
walkdown
the
path
when
a
DEATH
ADDER
snake
slithered
across
the
path
from
one
side
of
the
brush
to
the
other.
Death
adders
are
usually
nocturnal.
They
hide
themselves
-
covering
up
with
leaves
or
dirt
and
lie
in
wait
for
little
animals
like
a
potaroo
to
come
by.
This
is
my
guess
as
to
why
that
potaroo
zipped
past
me
faster
than
the
speed
of
light.
Back
to
the
snake,
nobody
was
injured
just
a
little
freaked
out.
I
am
grateful
Mx
Death
Adder
was
okay
to
share
their
home
with
us
for
11
days.
Great
spot!
