Joined
this
wellness
center
one
month
ago
and
this
review
is
directly
reflective
of
the
reason
I
joined
this
club
which
was
to
lap
swim
in
the
pool.
I
also
used
the
weight
rooms
and
attended
group
fitness
classes.
I
went
to
the
club
in
the
early
afternoons.
The
good:
The
weight
rooms
(and
there
a
few)
are
clean,
relatively
empty
with
usually
only
occupied
by
personal
trainers
and
their
clients.
There
are
plenty
of
types
weights,
equipment,
and
cardio
machines
to
meet
pretty
much
any
expectation/type
of
fitness
all
they
way
from
physical
therapy
machines
to
a
small
amount
of
Olympic
weights.
People
leave
you
alone
to
do
your
thing
and
that
is
nice.
The
bad:
The
only
criticism
I
have
of
the
weight
rooms
is
some
people
don't
rack
their
weights
after
using
a
piece
of
equipment
and
I
witnessed
this
every
time
I
went
into
the
weight
rooms.
In
my
book,
this
is
basic
gym
etiquette
yet
I
guess
some
folks
have
failed
to
learn
it,
or
they
don't
care,
not
sure.
The
ugly:
The
main
reason
I
joined
this
club,
and
it
is
more
expensive
than
other
comparable
clubs,
was
for
the
lane/lap
pool
with
5
lanes
that
when
I
toured
the
gym,
seemed
relatively
empty.
I
was
told
it
was
always
like
that
on
the
tour.
After
using
it
a
few
weeks
I
leaned
that
everyday
at
least
half
of
the
lanes
are
used
by
walkers
/
folks
doing
PT
so
swimmers
can't
use
those
lanes.
I
also
learned
personal
trainers
can
reserve
lanes
for
their
clients
which
happened
a
few
times
when
I
was
trying
to
swim
and
I
was
promptly
booted
out
of
a
lane.
I
guess
if
one
were
to
pay
for
a
personal
trainer
on
top
of
their
monthly
dues,
you
could
get
a
reserved
lane.
This
club
policy
reduces
the
number
of
usable
lanes
for
swimmers
to
about
2.
Finally,
I
learned
that
the
other
members
are
not
into
sharing
lanes
with
other
swimmers
which
adds
either
wait
time
or
awkwardness
if
your
just
gonna
jump
in
with
someone.
I
was
told
that
if
there
is
an
issue,
I
should
go
tell
the
lifeguard
(like
we're
in
kinder
garden
again).
That's
not
really
my
thing,
if
other
members
don't
want
to
share,
I
think
it
says
more
about
the
clientele
of
the
facility
more
than
anything.
The
worst
part,
and
straw
that
broke
the
camels
back,
is
a
personal
trainer
(same
one
that
removed
my
from
lanes
she
had
reserved)
would
not
let
me
sit
on
a
bench
at
the
end
of
the
pool
to
wait
for
a
lane
to
open
up.
I
found
this
not
only
aggravating
but
also
very
rude
and
unprofessional.
To
the
centers
credit,
after
I
lodged
a
complaint
with
the
front
desk,
they
immediately
called
to
validate
the
complaint.
I
also
got
a
follow
up
call
late
on
a
Sunday
afternoon
by
a
seemingly
agitated
aquatics
director
which
only
solidified
my
feelings
that
this
wellness
center
is
an
unwelcoming
place.
This
is
my
problem,
not
theirs,
is
what
I
took
away
from
the
conversation.
This
is
not
a
fitness
club
I
would
recommend
for
anyone
who
wants
lap
swimming
as
part
of
their
fitness
regimen.
This
is
not
a
club
I'll
go
back
to
due
to
rude
and
unwelcoming
staff/trainers.
I'm
out
a
few
hundred
bucks
and
I
hope
this
review
prevents
someone
else
from
making
the
same
mistakes
I
did.
