I just joined Milestone this year after checking out other facilities. My main concern at this time was being able to use a heated pool. The Milestone heated pool and the dressing areas were definitely what I was looking for in a club. The key factor was how much safer the floors in the dressing rooms and the area around the pool were than those same areas at other places. I am not able to take advantage of the many classes and instructors at this time, but I am looking forward to participating down the road.

I'm again looking for a facility for Dr prescribed PT w/ water therapy. Went here once & it was so bad I refused to go back. On the outside chance that their PT Dept had improved I decided to look at current reviews. Newer reviews indicate it's still just as bad. Left review after my one & only visit, but it's been removed. So I'll leave a 2nd to warn others looking for serious PT. It's rated a 1 strictly for their PT Dept. Other reviewers who called staff rude were absolutely correct. They were to me too. In addition, their "PT Dept" is situated in the middle of their pay gym facilities. PT patients are not allowed to use equipment that isn't therapist prescribed, even if we give them good reasons &/or experiences to believe it will help. (Example, exercise bikes that are standard in even small PT facilities) I feel confident this is to take advantage of the "patient". We get to look at things we can't use unless we buy a gym membership. In other industries this is called "bait & switch" & that term is appropriate for this place. I wasn't even allowed to use the hot tub (placed next to one of my treatment areas!) in order to ease my aching muscles. And this would be a good place to note that πŸ‘‰ they didn't provide any of the water therapy prescribed, the only reason I was sent here. Even worse, my "therapist" didn't pay attention to me at all. Due to childhood illness I've been in & out of PT since I was 3. I'm very aware of proper form. My one & only visit I was doing an exercise I'd done many times over the years. I realized somewhere about the 3rd rep that my form wasn't right. I stopped to regroup & start over, then realized I was a new patient & my new "therapist" hadn't been paying attention!! A real medical professional would have stopped me to correct my form. When I looked over I realized it was because he was too busy with his cell phone. It may be OK as a gym, but my advice is to stay away if you need serious medical help.

I have been a milestone member for about 14 years - the facility is ALWAYS impeccably clean and the customer service staff is second to none. I mainly take the yoga classes, and they have an excellent line-up of teachers and classes for all levels. The pool area is AWESOME with separate lap pool, warm therapy pool and a HUGE hot tub. This facility is highly recommended for all ages from teens to 90+

This is a very well equipped gym. There is equipment for EVERY level of workout. They have great trainers too, like Rob, who really pushes for your best. From pilates to recovery of injury, they have it covered. Very nice cycling room and running track. The gym is clean and so are the locker rooms. They have a GREAT little cafe for shakes or lunch. I also like the steam room for a reward, for a hard workout. The only Cons are that the lap pool is small and fills up with walkers. The price is also high for a membership, but they do provide a lot of room and equipment for that price.

Been to multiple gyms around town over the years. Always end up coming back here. Has so many classes, equipment, their locker room is great and clean. I even appreciate the little stuff like the water fountain to refill your bottle is always cold and they have locks on the lockers and give you lotion and hairspray if you decide to shower there! The higher price is definitely worth your money.

I have been a member of Baptist Milestone Wellness since it moved to it's current location. Other than some time off for surgeries I have been consistent and love the variety for a comprehensive workout. I am a group fitness person and have enjoyed the numerous options.

β€œWhere You Matter Most” ..was the slogan I heard repeated while I was waiting for someone to answer the phone. Milestone would rather give up a loyal member at $90/month than give that member a month off while she has surgery. Membership holds require 2 month minimum and $25/month. That’s fine. As it turns out, there are much nicer facilities with bigger pools and more lanes right here in Louisville, at a fraction of the price.

Amazing staff. Everybody is like a family, clients and staff alike. Childcare is available along with 3 pools (lap, therapy and a Jacuzzi!) They close the building down once a year for cleaning and repairs in the ENTIRE building. COVID-19 safe! Classes that range for everyone!!

I love this place. I have been a member since 2004. I left for a year or so to try one of those left expensive places. But i came back , because this facility has everything. Lots of classes on land and in the pool. Large spaces big exercise class room. Wide variety of classes. Great instructors. They have a cafe which is great when I’m coming from work so I can grab an healthy bite to eat before I work out. They also have a spa/saloon , childcare. Lot of machines/equipment. It’s a clean well maintained facility. The have a hot tub , 2 pools-one of which is heated. A sauna. They supply everything. Towels , soap. . The staff is great. They have fitness specialists on staff so if you have questions about exercises, how to use equipment or if you want to tone certain body parts they show you what to do.

I have been a member for several years at Baptist Health Milestone. The staff has always been very helpful and friendly. During these current times everyone has stepped up and is making sure that the equipment, locker rooms and all other areas are continually cleaned and safe.

Great gym with great people. I've only had amazing experiences here! It's a luxury gym with luxury prices, so be prepared to pay. BUT while it is more expensive than most gyms, you do get your money's worth! My ONLY complaint is the hours. While they do open early, they close pretty early in my opinion. Would also love to see full time daycare hours instead of extremely limited hours. Could use to keep the gym open an hour or two later. The daycare would be great to have it open starting at 8 and closing later than 1. I can't go early because I have no one to watch my daughter. Then if I want to swim (which is a huge perk considering the price), I have to juggle daycare hours and avoiding classes in the pool... There's just not much time to work with there which makes going a little tricky.

Went to the gym, now I came in and wiped down my machine BEFORE & AFTER!! There was a lot of people who was on machines and never wiped them nor did the staff in the gym! Coronavirus is very much still here but when there are big dispensers of wipes and spray bottles so why would you NOT wipe down the machines! This is very unsanitary to me… it grosses me out! Can you all please work better to keep the germs down as much as possible plus the Covid numbers are going back up! I thought the members health was a priority to Baptist East Milestone.

Joined this wellness center one month ago and this review is directly reflective of the reason I joined this club which was to lap swim in the pool. I also used the weight rooms and attended group fitness classes. I went to the club in the early afternoons. The good: The weight rooms (and there a few) are clean, relatively empty with usually only occupied by personal trainers and their clients. There are plenty of types weights, equipment, and cardio machines to meet pretty much any expectation/type of fitness all they way from physical therapy machines to a small amount of Olympic weights. People leave you alone to do your thing and that is nice. The bad: The only criticism I have of the weight rooms is some people don't rack their weights after using a piece of equipment and I witnessed this every time I went into the weight rooms. In my book, this is basic gym etiquette yet I guess some folks have failed to learn it, or they don't care, not sure. The ugly: The main reason I joined this club, and it is more expensive than other comparable clubs, was for the lane/lap pool with 5 lanes that when I toured the gym, seemed relatively empty. I was told it was always like that on the tour. After using it a few weeks I leaned that everyday at least half of the lanes are used by walkers / folks doing PT so swimmers can't use those lanes. I also learned personal trainers can reserve lanes for their clients which happened a few times when I was trying to swim and I was promptly booted out of a lane. I guess if one were to pay for a personal trainer on top of their monthly dues, you could get a reserved lane. This club policy reduces the number of usable lanes for swimmers to about 2. Finally, I learned that the other members are not into sharing lanes with other swimmers which adds either wait time or awkwardness if your just gonna jump in with someone. I was told that if there is an issue, I should go tell the lifeguard (like we're in kinder garden again). That's not really my thing, if other members don't want to share, I think it says more about the clientele of the facility more than anything. The worst part, and straw that broke the camels back, is a personal trainer (same one that removed my from lanes she had reserved) would not let me sit on a bench at the end of the pool to wait for a lane to open up. I found this not only aggravating but also very rude and unprofessional. To the centers credit, after I lodged a complaint with the front desk, they immediately called to validate the complaint. I also got a follow up call late on a Sunday afternoon by a seemingly agitated aquatics director which only solidified my feelings that this wellness center is an unwelcoming place. This is my problem, not theirs, is what I took away from the conversation. This is not a fitness club I would recommend for anyone who wants lap swimming as part of their fitness regimen. This is not a club I'll go back to due to rude and unwelcoming staff/trainers. I'm out a few hundred bucks and I hope this review prevents someone else from making the same mistakes I did.

😐 While the experience AT the gym was nice, the experience after was (and still is) very frustrating. I have received countless sales emails and calls trying to see if I want to join.
