Photos don’t do it justice - We were hesitant about a vegan buffet but it was impressive, every dish was so flavorful. Vegan chicken wings were juicy and so incredible I ordered some to take home and they were just as good next day. Staff all had the best energy and customer service went above and beyond

Delicious vegan food! This place is like vegan mecca. You can pop in, take food from the buffet and go. Or you can sit and order food to stay. I went with the special - Chimichurri Lions Mane sandwich with came with choice of soup or salad. I chose soup. The Lions Mane sandwich was gooey deliciousness. The lentil soup appetizer was flavorful and filling. The whole atmosphere was healthy, bright and friendly. Service was supreme. The artwork was spiritual and thought provoking. Looking forward to coming back again and again and I'm not even vegan

For $36 I got what is pictured. The burrito is the size of half a regular burrito. Calufilower bites $13 for 6 pieces... I ordered through uber eats with tip it cost over $51 but seems like not worth ordering from here being how over priced it. Mind you the food has no meat. Its just vegetables and tofu how can it cost more then a non-veg meal?

Pretty darn delightful. We ate in (hooray!) And the food was quite tasty. It actually tasted like non-vegan fast casual food. Not super elevated in terms of refinement but pretty good prices and nice staff. I would be happy to go back for a bite.

Cozy warm cheery vegan restaurant. They have two window round tables with seating on cushions. A very nice touch. Rest of tables are the usual chair seating. Had the burrito bowl which was delicious and had saitan and beans (good amounts of protein). There's a buffet option and also menu. They serve tea in a pot. Also a very nice touch.

I'm not an idealistic optimist — I don't hand out 5 star reviews indiscriminately and unceasingly. But this place was fantastic! I could hardly believe how helpful and friendly the cashier/front receptionist was. Everything from arrangement to service is top-notch (and if you're a vegan — look no further for a beautiful date-night venue!)

On Mother’s Day I took my mom, dad, sister, wife, and kids here for dinner. My parents an sister are not into vegan food. They LOVED IT. My sister has some interesting allergies that make vegan food tricky and she was able to order food here and loved what she had. My kids loved the variety. Portions are great sizes. Seating for large parties is available due to the type of seething they have inside. Outdoor seating is more for small parties. My family and I love this place and will be coming here again soon.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Firstly, I am NOT a vegan. My experience with vegan foods has left me with bad taste in my mouth (pun intended) but this place - it’s worth a special trip! It was recommended to me by Sofia at Anima Mundi Herbals (Noble St.). When she said “vegan” I almost didn’t finish listening but a voice inside said “try again” and I am so glad I did! The smells when I walked in were intoxicating and unlike any other restaurant. I had a hard time choosing but ended up ordering the Baja Oyster Tacos with b’nut squash soup as the side and a large Clean Green juice…oh, and a pumpkin donut to go. The flavors were incredible! Layered and nuanced like a fine wine. The crisp and crunch of the fried oyster mushrooms, as well as the juicy tenderness inside was so delectably satisfying. I probably looked like a caveman eating his first meal but I didn’t care. It was definitely one of the best meals I’ve have anywhere in a very very long time, and being a foodie, I don’t say that often. The green juice was perfectly balanced, clean, and oh so delicious! Not too bitter, not too sweet, just right. The cafe itself has a cozy feel with nook-like sitting areas for groups in the front windows, plants and artwork throughout. I forgot the name of the girl who waited on me (agh! sorry!) but she was delightful and friendly, and super helpful! She told me they have a buffet every day and the theme of the food changes daily. This place is for sure a go-back for me, a destination spot for food rather than an I’m-in-the-area stop. It is so worth the trip! Take that from a non-vegan! (Yes, the pumpkin donut! I’m salivating typing about its soft, moist, perfect balance of sweet and pumpkin. Agh! I have to go back!)

Not vegan, but enjoy trying vegan options. We got the cauliflower bites, beet burger, Baja oyster tacos, mac and cheese, green curry, and corn muffins. Stand outs were the Baja oyster tacos, green curry and corn muffins - so, so good. The mac and cheese didn’t quite hit the spot for me. Excited to come back and try more of the menu!

EDIT! (It's written down after first one ) The delivery experience is totally different than the in person experience and that should definitely change. I don't necessarily pay attention to price when investing in myself and the labor done behind it to get good food. However, when it comes to preparing food for delivery I truly wonder if the head chef or manager looks at what is going out to customers. If someone looked at this and STILL sent it out then disappointed is an understatement. I didn't bother to take a pic of the quesadilla but it had portobello mushrooms in it instead of oyster mushrooms. If you have to replace something then it's the customer's choice to still go forward with that item not yours. The experience being in person and delivery is like night and day and I won't ever order or recommend delivery from this place ever again. Add-on I truly love coming in person and that's what I'm sticking to‼️ I showed them a pic of one of the things I previously mentioned above and the manager comp'd(not a real word but you get it) something off my long tab because of that experience. That type of customer service is what will ALWAYS keep me coming back even more than the food. I enjoyed the lions mane sandwich the most this time around (see pic). So again I say visit this spot for an amazing in person experience. 🌻💜

Having a good time eating here. The chimichurri lions mane sandwich is bomb and I like that you get a little soup on the side. Counter person is lovely, friendly, and gave a great suggestion

The Jungle Cafe is one of those places that nourishes you on all levels. Tasty, clean, fresh, healthy food in a warm, natural and inviting environment. Great smoothies, juices, sandwiches, salads, main courses, vegan and gluten free deserts — even hot cacao! The buffet has a wide selection and features rotating cultural themes daily (Mexican, Indian, Polish, etc.). Do yourself and your community a favor by supporting this great local establishment! PS — It’s also a great place to get some reading or work done, or meet up with friends.

I have been a regular customer of Jungle cafe for several years. I really appreciate the menu and have had great meals and baked goods here over the years. Like some of the other customers, I have noticed that the portions have shrunk which makes certain items feel really not worth the price. I have also noticed the portion size and how the menu items are prepared is really inconsistent. For example the macro bowl might not come with beet salad like it says on the menu or might come with squash instead of sweet potato without warning. It almost seems like they are just working with what they have on hand, but it should be described differently on the menu if that's the case. The hot bar doesn't seem to have as much variety as it used to but maybe i'm just catching off days. The wait can be unreasonably long sometimes so I'm in the habit of calling ahead. I also once placed a pick up order only to realize the restaurant was closed. I had to come back the next day to ask for a refund. To summarize I really like Jungle Cafe's menu and ambiance, but I feel like it has become very hit or miss. I would encourage the management to train the cooks better so that the food is consistent. Even if menu items are more expensive at least people will know what to expect.

Not a vegan but came here with my vegan friend and we both agree the food was pretty good with lots of good flavor. I got the burrito bowl. Very good! Edit: their hibiscus iced tea, sweetened, slaps!

The cauliflower bites are the best I’ve ever had. Jungle Burrito is the standard for me, hits all the right notes. Can’t go wrong with Jungle Cafe, and the buffet/vibe is great. Staff is awesome and helpful. Becoming vegetarian was a big step but places like this really saved me when I needed a good fulfilling but tasty meal. Thank you!

Tough to go wrong with any of the dishes but would shy away from the beet burger. It is plated and presented well but falls apart easily.

I came over here for Lunch and the place is really amazing with lots of cool designs. Very welcoming. I had the Polish Mushroom Potato Tacos with Salad and Iced Matcha Latte. The food is so good and the Server is very Nice. I would highly recommend for a quick Lunch and Dinner.

Popped in for brunch. Lovely airy space. We went with the breakfast burrito and the jungle burrito and soup as you have the choice of soup or salad, which comes with most options. Soup was served in a cup and was lentil and vegetables, and although simple, it was really tasty. Both burritos were packed to the brim and tasted amazing. To drink, I had the mango lassi, one of the best I've had, and my husband had the drip coffee, which as we left he was offered a free coffee to go which was great. Jungle Cafe also has a buffet, and the type of food offered changes daily, i.e., American, Italian, etc. Free water is also served. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely place to eat.

Came here for a brunch and what a wonderful, cute spot right around the corner. The highlight was definitely the berry collagen smoothie - would definitely come back for this! We got a beet burger and a polish taco, both of which came with a choice of salad or soup, we got one of each! Overall pretty yummy!

We used to love this place, but we had two recent disappointing experiences, and this time I let the management know through their form online. No one responded to my feedback. Really - I was hoping to hear that it was a particularly busy night, or that the kitchen had run out of the thing we ordered and apologies for making a substitution without asking, or whatever... but there was radio silence, which makes me feel like they don't really care so much. This is a very expensive place for what you get... It used to be that Jungle Cafe was one of the only vegan places in the area, but now there are so many other appealing options in Greenpoint/Northwest Williamsburg. I hope they turn themselves around, but I have been disappointed too many times to take a risk again.

So happy I stumbled on this place through Uber Eats. The beet burger was delicious, especially loved the veganaise sauce. The Chorizo-style tacos were very creative. They are made of chickpea tempeh and come with roasted tomatillos, caramelized onions, and avocado salsa. The orders also comes with a soup or salad as a side. Excited to try other items on the menu in the future!

Discovered this place years ago and the food is still as good as when I first starting going here. The polish tacos are just the tastiest ever and the price versus portion here is really good. Lately I just get takeout and I find the service to be friendly and punctual. All the food I've gotten here is great. And the interior is funky and comfy if you decide to dine in.

The lunch buffet here was fantastic. Excellent atmosphere and delicious food. Reasonably priced and friendly staff. Definitely have to go back. More places should do a vegan buffet like this.

Such a shame. This place used to be our favorite weekend treat. They hired new chefs and haven’t trained them properly, making many of our favorite dishes inedible (when the executive chef isn’t in). It’s a very expensive hit or miss

Amazing vegan place! We get the breakfast burrito, chefs special avocado toast and the mango lassis There’s a cute area to sit on the ground too The entrance is near the subway stop so the outside can be sketchy, but the inside is very nice and well decorated

Pretty good food, the fake chicken is the really good one. Nice smoothies and a relaxed place. It's nice to have a vegan spot, even if it's pay-per-pound

So I basically love this place more than 98% of the other spots out there. I really can’t say enough good things about Jungle Cafe but I’ll try. First, the ambience, decor, & feeling one gets just walking in here will be fulfilling & relaxing. The communal nature of the entire affair gets communicated upon entry. The casual atmosphere lends itself well to leaving pretense behind & focusing on the food. So, the food changes all the time and it’s all really nourishing & super tasty. It’s also affordable! Probably one of the best restaurants in greenpoint to stretch a dollar. I highly recommend the buffet. Enjoy this conveniently located neighborhood gem!

Great vegan food! Love that there’s a different buffet throughout the week! It’s a bit on the pricey side since the food gets heavy

  • 3/5 Cedric van O. 1 year ago on Google
Cozy little place that reminds me of the good home cooked food. The verdict, in summary: - Good food, but there are better vegan options elsewhere - The vegan caesar salad was very tasty and large - The oyster mushroom taco was very nice as well as the mayo - The buffet looked great and like an affordable option for $12 per pound of food (we didn't have any) - Very attentive waiter - The vegan mac & cheese was runny and the pasta was overcooked unfortunately. - The vegetable soup was good but nothing special - Total price for 2 persons: $55

A quaint little vegan cafe with a cozy community like seating. I love their tacos and beet burger. Now my favorite place to spend a chill afternoon nestled in their cushion seating with a book and some oat milk coffee

  • 4/5 Mandy K. 1 year ago on Google
Fresh and healthy food and drink options. Really liked the rose cacao drink. The seaweed salad was refreshing and delicious! The burrito plate was ok a bit bland. Cauliflower wings were a bit too deep fried.
