This review is for Seetang Youth Hostel - we stayed here in March 2016. We initially stayed in a 6 bed dorm room which was clean and well presented. We had a locker which unfortunately wasn't very secure as it could be opened with any other other locker keys. The shared bathroom was OK, clean enough but the showers were very public. We moved to a basic double room with an en-suite. This room was beautiful, the best room we had in the whole of China. Be aware that the wifi here sucks and there are no kitchen facilities. There is also a lovely roof terrace with decent coffee and food. Nice indoor lounge area too. This is more of a hotel than a hostel hence there isn't much of an atmosphere.

I don't know why people don't like this place but I think it is the best place to visit in Xi'an.

Absolutely beautiful place, quaint and quiet. It sucks that they are being forced out and that it's going to be commercialized

👍👍 Note: error in the naming of this location -:- this is South Gate, not North Gate. The best of all the gates, busiest, well maintained and the ground toward the south leading to the YongNing Men Metro is spacious and grand. The view from this plaza is good. It is well worth taking a bike ride arou...
