Close to Beirut, nice and easy hike. Public, recommend it!

A good place to hike and walk best during autumn and spring because it is dry in summer. It is kids friendly they have aome sport machines and cages with rabbits and birds. You should take snacks and water if you are walking all the park. Better to go early when there isn't crowd or you won't find a place to sit and rest. It is public and entrance is free . You can't enter with a car it is a hiking trail contains stairs and muddy roads. Beautiful nature , a silent valley 🖤

What a peaceful place in the middle of traffic and noises , only you can hear the sound of birds, love it .

A piece of heaven on earth So glad to find a well maintained and preserved piece of the mountain of lebanon . Where I can hike peacefully without the smoke smell , enjoy the nature while enjoying an easy path to walk through the forest with your little ones , some birds , ducks , chickens are living peacefully but not freely . Arabian rare dears ( Arabian Maha ) are residing too ..the children loved meeting them . The place is targeting who wants to exercise in clean fresh air ..so machines are available for this reason too.

A beautiful place for hiking and trail run.

Abou Semaan Valley reserve a nice Protected area by Chweifat Municipality, its around 5 km hike near to beirut the trail extends through the valley connecting Chweifat to Ain Anoub, its easy hike, good for kids and family safe trail mostly under the trees, best time to hike this trail is from late fall to early winter, Its also good one trail-running training. Very nice reserve, around 10 KM total (starting point is the same as ending point). What is special about it is that it is close to Beirut. It is well maintained but still some hikers tend to throw some trash. The animals and the sport machines are a nice plus. Update 2023: Now the animals are gone and this is not well maintained anymore unfortunately.
