I
recently
visited
Gwen's
with
high
hopes
of
enjoying
a
nice
evening
with
friends.
However,
my
experience
was
ruined
by
an
incident
involving
their
nachos
and
an
outrageously
overpriced
side
of
guacamole.
While
ordering
the
nachos,
we
were
asked
if
we
wanted
a
side
of
guacamole.
Assuming
it
was
a
reasonable
addition
to
complement
the
nachos,
we
agreed.
To
our
surprise,
when
the
nachos
arrived,
they
came
with
a
really
small
container
of
avocado,
barely
enough
for
five
chips!
We
were
under
the
impression
that
it
was
a
side
dish
included
with
the
nachos,
considering
the
size
and
the
fact
that
it
was
never
mentioned
as
a
separate
charge.
When
we
received
the
bill,
we
were
shocked
to
see
that
we
were
charged
an
additional
$7.5
for
the
minuscule
avocado
side.
To
make
matters
worse,
they
had
the
audacity
to
label
it
as
an
"avocado
dip
starter."
This
description
made
us
believe
that
we
were
getting
a
fair
portion
of
guacamole
as
a
side,
not
an
expensive
starter.
Gwen's
menu
does
feature
a
guacamole
bowl
as
a
starter,
which
comes
in
a
more
reasonable
size
with
bread
slices.
It
seems
that
they
intentionally
charged
us
as
if
we
had
ordered
the
full
guacamole
starter,
despite
our
request
for
a
side
of
avocado.
When
I
went
to
the
waiter
to
express
my
concern,
he
claimed
that
this
was
how
they
charge
for
the
avocado
side.
He
didn’t
acknowledge
the
fact
that
we
were
charged
for
a
starter
we
did
not
order.
I
find
Gwen's
pricing
and
customer
service
to
be
highly
deceptive
and
disappointing.
Not
only
did
they
charge
an
exorbitant
amount
for
a
tiny
portion
of
avocado,
but
they
also
misrepresented
it
as
a
starter
rather
than
a
side.
As
a
customer,
I
expect
transparency
and
fairness
in
pricing,
and
Gwen's
failed
to
deliver
on
both
counts.
Once
again,
it
is
not
about
the
money,
I
am
willing
to
pay
a
fair
price
for
the
services
and
food
I
receive.
However,
what
truly
disappointed
me
was
the
sense
of
being
deceived
and
taken
advantage
of.
How
is
it
logical
that
the
full
plate
of
nachos
and
cheese
is
cheaper
than
the
tiny
side
of
avocado
that
they
gave
us?
