5 star review for the awesome staff at this place. Here you feel welcomed, with genuine kindness and smiles, overwhelmingly friendly mixologists and waiters. This place is precisely the spot where you could meet kind people and mingle, get out of your cocoon and release the social butterfly within you. Drinks are delicious and are done with a nice little show done by the bartenders. This bar has 3 floors, best one obviously is the bottom one and they also have a yellow van just outside the bar where you could sit and socialize. Highly recommended!!!

We were in Beirut for 3 nights and we spent 2 of them here … and the only reason we didn’t spend the third night here is because we didn’t find it till night #2! Super welcoming staff, it felt like the kind of place we would visit all the time if we lived here. Not to mention delicious cocktails and you can buy the gin they make! Can’t recommend this place enough.

Went on weekdays, the mood and playlist are really good , the bar tender advised us depending on our preferences . A large choice of virgin cocktails for those who don't drink alcohol . And the service is perfect . The music is really good but not too loud if you want to have a conversation.

This is a racist place. I went there with my friend to have a quick drink. Once we entered the bar someone jumped into us and asked us to leave for no clear reason claiming that the place has a private party. We asked some customers if there were any party and they denied. Clearly this place does not welcome non-Lebanese. Do not waste your time, your mood or honour. We stayed at the bar next to it and noticed that many entered afterwards without being asked for their reservation.

drinks are emm ok . Food didn’t feel fresh and clean and so did the place 👎. Attitude of the staff leaves a lot to admire .

Trendy bar with unprofessional service. No prices on the menu, waiter won’t leave the table until you ordered drinks. No change given/rounded up in their favor. Drinks were tasty but low alcohol. Nice rooftop

$24 USD for one menu cocktail. This isn’t London. This isn’t Tokyo. This isn’t New York. A Huge NOPE on ever coming back to this pretentious pile of garbage. +1 star for the decent wait staff with a smile that unfortunately do not meet the prices on the menu. Prices I would expect at exclusive restaurants with a Michelin star, or at least an otherwise expensive city like NYC or similar.

I have never seen a place as creative as Ales & Tales. They blend the Lebanese culture right in the drinks! The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and the place has a very vibrant atmosphere. Also they recently redecorated their rooftop and they made it look amazing! I ordered this meghle drink (forgot its name on the menu) and manooshe bzaatar. Both are enjoyable and tasty.

Great little bar with amazing cocktails.made with care and flare. Even has a good rum selection which is not always easy to find.

The concept, design and music are still as they used to be. So much fun to be there. Their signature cocktails however, have taken a dip in quality. The alcohol is not pure in all drinks and the ice cubes taste weird in the water. We also had a friend who only talked English on the table and they ripped us off with the bill. No prices were shown on the menu - I would recommend you ask for the price before ordering. It is sad to see a place that used to offer stellar drinks and service suffer that much in terms of quality and customer service.

In the heart of Hamra you will find this mesmerizing bar. They offer the best and most creative cocktails in the world! Their service is really good and fast considering the huge amount of order they have to juggle. The place is huge it’s made of 3 levels, the first one is the entrance, bar and a few tables, the second is a cozy library where you can have a read in the afternoon or during happy hour and the 3rd is a beautiful well decorated rooftop overlooking Makdessi street. The offer happy hour from 5 to 8 i think where everything is half the price. They have the most exquisite beer collection from around the world. A huge range of international wine. And the food menu is breathtaking so tasty and always a surprise. Everything is very well priced nothing will be too expensive. On Christmas, new year, the place’s anniversary and halloween they have the most beautiful program, it will feel like a different place. Ask for Ralph or Hicham they will make sure you have the best experience. Highly recommended.

The cocktail drink menus don't list the prices of each drink, which we were initially fine with and assumed they'd be roughly similar prices, but when the bill came, one drink was 3x the price (~$22 for The Prophet) of the others. If there's no price list, then it's the norm for staff to at least notify you when you've ordered an item that isn't like the rest, but they tried to brush off and pass blame when we brought it up. The drinks are mostly pre-mixed and that's reflected in the flavors of the drinks, so not sure how pricing is justified.
