2023.07.08 Late Lunch at this location next to Pigeon Rock. The view was stunning. The service was very good as well as the food. Great view and seating at sunset. All the photos view from Bay Rock Cafe.

If you’re looking for the best Rawsheh view look no more! I could sit there for hours and I wouldn’t be bored. Their coffee is amazing and the view is breathtaking. A bit pricey but worth it.

The only reason this is getting two stars is the view, it’s truly beautiful. However, having been in lebanon for two months now, I haven’t felt this unwelcome before. My friend and I just wanted to chill and relax after a long day biking, and we saw the “full service coffeeshop at self service prices” and we thought that it’s a budget friendly place. We ordered an Argileh and a Banana split and it was all good. The waiter was obviously and disrespectfully was pushing me to buy more and was disappointed at my “small order”. I felt looked down at and disrespected. Service makes or breaks your place. Otherwise the place is great.

Beirut Lebanon, Bay Rock Cafe downtown was a pleasantly memorable experience. The Food was surprisingly good for a main stream restaurant. You go here for the view, it is beautiful. There was nothing on the menu which disappointed us. Only gripe: add some spice to the lamb kabobs, very plain tasting. Get the mixed grill platter, skip anything on the menu which is not Lebanese and you'll be good. Recommended !

Nice restaurant. Food was very good and service was outstanding. Prices were very fair considering this was a water front restaurant. Breath taking views of the Rouche and sea. Sitting on the waterfront here is an experience for sure. The sunset was amazing. Highly recommend.

Area is nice and has a beautiful view. Staff is friendly as well. Food is okay, eatable but not well made on some menu items.(Steaks) Definitely worth giving it a tour if in town.

🔹Rating: 2/5 🔹Experience: The location of the restaurant is very nice overlooking the rawchi rock. Seating areas are comfortable restaurants decoration is nice simple not complicated. Its a typical Lebanese restaurant buy the menu has some diversity in the food. The service was good but could be better and the staff was friendly. 🔹Food: The food wasn’t tasty at all. We ordered steak plate, tawooq plate and chicken wings. The meat was dry although we ordered it to be medium well. The sauce next to the meat wasn’t tasty at all. The vegetables wasn't tasty as well. This plate is a disaster. The wings also wasn't tasty. It did not taste fresh. The tawooq plate tasted good. We also ordered shisha and it was fine but could be be way better. The prices are also a bit high compared to other restaurants who offer better food. I expected such restaurant with such view and location to have better menu and food.

We had an awful experience. It is not acceptable for an old well known and nice place to have no AC turned on in a hot weather. (Inside nor outside) We had to ask twice to close the curtains because of the sun. We were not sitting comfortably. Also the drinks are overpriced/ size of cup is small. And the hookah is over over over priced and bad.

It’s a must to visit this resto cafe every time I come to Lebanon. It’s an old one but really I am very happy that they keeping it maintained. It’s a casual place nice for shisha. I prefer going there in the morning. The view of Rawshe Rocks is amazing can’t move my eyes from this nice panoramic view. All the staff are well trained, helpful and attentive. Food was great too. I hope they do some renovation for the place because it needs new furniture. But anyways it’s nice.

Service was very good. The food wasn't really anything special and the prices were outrageous which seemed to be the norm for Beirut during my visit. It was an amazing view of course. I understand the entire country is going through a rough time which is why didn't give it 3 stars like I'd prefer to. I think theu did well for what they have available.

We got a breakfast for just 15$. But the food was pretty heavy with lots of oil, also the tea for instance is served as very cheap tea bags. Overall a good service and very nice view. Though I didn’t like that they provide water with the breakfast which we didn’t ask for and then include it in the bill. I would order water anyhow but it’s just not nice the way they add smth to your order. Also on the ads the breakfast is more rich, for example it includes olives. Definitely worth for a view and a cup of coffee

Well the food was good but not wow! Don't expect a very tasty food especially near the touristic places where the prices are somehow high (+25% than average). We went there to watch the sunset and the view was amazing but the atmosphere was less than average, no music was played during the whole stay.

Food was okay, not the best I’ve had in this area. Pricey for what it is. But view and service was good

The place is great for the views. Right infront of the pigeon rock with fantastic sunset scenes. The food is okay: the quality varies and they're mostly good in Lebanese cuisine - although their menu has international options, but they are not specialized in them. The problem was the service: it was very slow and not attentive. We were a table of 4 individuals having a late lunch (so it was not crowded) sitting at the first floor towards the end. Waiters were rarely present around us - I had to personally go and ask the waiter to come to our table and take our requests more than once. Then when we asked the waiter to clean the table after we were done, he only removed half of the items and went away. Their service was inconvenient and showed a lack of attention to the customers. It seems they did not have enough waiters, but this isn't our problem. For the quality of food and service, the prices are way too high. You are mainly paying for the view.

Probably the best view you’ll get of the pigeon rocks from a restaurant. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was absolutely delicious.

Carful SCAM!!! We paid 91$ for just a few things. My uncle paid way less one week before. Be careful! Well I would love to read the menu but unlucky our menu did not include any prices. But good for you. No worries, I will try again and maybe get a menu with prices.

Beautiful view of the Raouche Rocks. I bet it's more beautiful at sunset! Food was tasty, service was good. If you want a nice view of the raouche rocks, this place is good for that.

Food was awesome , atmosphere wasn’t the greatest given that this should be one of the best places to visit in Lebanon , workers calling each other names in front of customers , but what really made our visit so bad is how the waiter was watching over my head and looking right into my wallet!!!!! And when I told him off he didn’t like it !!!!

Great location, has a very nice view to see the rock and the sea, but the food was not that much good.

We absolutely LOVED this place. Drinks are reasonably priced considering the location. Staff are friendly and efficient. Hookah was well maintained. Perfect view of the Pigeon Rock. We didn't eat, though, so I can't comment on food. But it looked good from what I saw.

Best view for sunset at the rock. Price surprisingly cheaper than other restaurants along the cliff. Lots of food choices from pasta to steak.

Nice location, but it’s very expensive (comparing with other places in Beruit), we ordered just drinks and they were very normal nothing special. You are paying for the view.

I had beers without any foods. It costs 8000LP(6USD). With drinking that, I enjoyed the atmosphere and the location where we can see the Pigeon Rocks in front of there. this location is fabulous. since evening there is crowed, opened until midnight. [in Jan 2018]

Came in with my friends because they wanted shisha and they took my Starbucks from me…. Very annoying

  • 1/5 Joe Braham C. 2 years ago on Google
Very bad service. The waiters walk around without noticing you as if there’s no work. They say they’ll come back and they just mingle around. The place is big and it’s high season and they’re short staffed which is not okay. Unprofessional.

The view is amazing but food wasn’t great. The restaurant depends mainly on their great and strategic view right on the rouche rock and doesn’t pay attention to the quality of their food. If you are there, just have a drink instead of getting dinner or anything and enjoy their amazing view during the sunset.

The view is great the staff are really rude and unhelpful especially the manager… we came with 2 kids and 2 strollers no one came to help us walk down the stairs! I had one coffee brought from outside and the manager asked rudely to throw it out before I enter! He specifically said take it out before you come in! I really felet humiliated before I come in and wanted to leave but stayed there just for the kids! Not recommended!!!
