Most gorgeous monastery in metn area. Located on top of a hill and with a magnificent view and weather, this monastery built over a roman fort thus the name taken. beautiful green areas around the old church very well maintained and a lots of ruins and history in the place. The three remaining columns of the fort are still standing near the church.A must visit for a walk, prayer and taking pictures.

It's always shocking to drive around in the mountains of Lebanon and all of the sudden you run into a very old Temple and discover how ancient this city is. Its a must visit🧘🏽‍♀️

The archeological site is vast and full of pieces that I would not have noticed before if Art Design Lebanon did not do an art exhibition there! It is a must to visit it.

Although it’s a historical landmark, supposed to be accessible for the public, it is locked and no one answers the phone they have on the gate. It seems like it has been privatized for the wealthy to have weddings. Very disappointing. 👎

The place is amazing... It has lots of history like ancient roman ruins and museum and one of the oldest church as well in the region. Furthermore it is a nice parc where you can hang out and enjoy the most beautiful view where you can see most of beirut and the airport runway as well!!!

Lebanon is home to a plethora of fascinating ancient ruins, from crumbling cities to temples that have withstood the test of time. Many of these ancient societies were incredibly innovative and forward-thinking. Just take a look at their meticulous city planning and incredible feats of engineering; some of which we are yet to fully understand. And while there’s so much we can learn from these prehistoric people, perhaps the most enchanting part is what we don’t know. Some of the most captivating ancient ruins are full of thousand-year-old mysteries that will boggle even the most curious of minds. Visiting this site has given me more reasons to love the idea of exploring ancient footprints, and letting my imagination wonder why they built the way they did hundreds and thousands of years ago. If you plan to visit make sure you don't skip any path, although someplaces will be a little annoying due to the rain and other factors, but make sure you go around the whole area to experience the wow factor of this place. I was able to take a few 360 images of this place that are attached to this review.

Old ruins are still available here near Deir el Kalaa. I really recommend you to visit this place in summer. You can enjoy walking and relax away from city.

(Translated by Google) It is a magical place, very well maintained, but it is a shame that sometimes people come to leave their waste and picnic anywhere destroying the plantation. Fortunately, the owners hired a very respectful guardian to put these "people" back in their place. *** It is a magical place, but it is a shame that sometimes people come to their waste and picnic anywhere destroying the plantation. *** It is a magical place, very well maintained, but it is a shame that sometimes people come to leave their waste and picnic anywhere destroying the plantation.
