Very comfortable hostel at affordable price. Included breakfast, fitness and swimming pool. The dorms are very modern and clean. Breakfast could be enriched with fruits, and cereals. Staff at the reception could be more friendly

I visited this hotel with my twin brother for his first visit to Lebanon where we both rediscovered our roots. This hotel is amazing and well priced. I picked it at random on expedia but I am lucky and happy with my choice. It has an amazing restaurant called Cafe Im Nazih. Authentic lebanese food, great bar, and great shisha lounge with live entertainment on Fridays (make sure you reserve a table if you want to be there for Friday evenings) There is also a well equipped gym on the 2nd floor, and there is a rooftop pool with another (more expensive) restaurant and bar which serves more western type food. The room was spacious and comfortable. Service was very good and everyone was friendly. Special shout out to Hussam and Ali and Im Fadi, you guys are the best. They sometimes organize free trips on the weekend such as to Sour or Batroun in an air conditioned bus. You will be really well taken care of at HUG. And Cafe Im Nazih is one of the best restaurants I have tried, and I've gone around the whole country. From Tripoli to Sour.

One of my favorite hotels in beyroot. I rented a room continuously for several months. The service was great, the room was very clean, it felt like home. There's a pool and a bar on the roof, a gym and a restaurant all in one building. The staff is very friendly.

Hotel has proven to be dishonest. I booked a room ( bed in a 6 bed dorm )through Agoda in 4/2020 for a 12 day stay in March of 2021. Per the booking I was to be billed by the hotel NOT Agoda and the room came with a free cancellation. Right after booking the room my debit card was billed even though my trip wasn't for another 11 months. In October, 2020 I cancelled the room because my flight had been cancelled due to Covid. In October 2020 I requested a refund. The hotel claims they issued me a refund in December of 2020. THEY HAVE NOT. I have provided them with MULTIPLE copies of my bank statements proving my MasterCard was never credited for the cancellation. They provided Agoda with what appears to be a "doctored" POS receipt NOT a credit receipt. I would be very careful dealing with this establishment. Agoda cannot help me much because the pymt was to the hotel not Agoda. Furthermore, when I initially booked this room I booked a PRIVATE room. When I found out the room was DOWN THE BLOCK AND NOT EVEN AT THE HOTEL in the pictures I cancelled that room and booked the dorm AT the hotel..........I'm really sad as I love the Lebanese people, food, culture....This hotel is bringing them shame :( I will retract this statement if I ever receive a refund otherwise I will also be leaving reviews on tripadvisor, facebook etc...

My favourite hotel in Beirut, super location, extremely helpful staff, great facilities and a very contemporary vibe. I would reccomend this hotel for anyone that really wants to experience the true spirit of Beirut, you will be surrounded by local bars, restaurants, kiosks, shops, graffiti, it's really a pleasure for me to stay there. The only thing that I would hope is improved is the hotels online booking system, as it's very difficult to deal with. I tried to book through it like I did on my last visit during April, but this time I could not log in as I forgot the password I put in the last time and for some reason would not receive the code to reset via email. I then had too book after I arrived through a phone call and only found one night available. I had to move hotels, which is not a big deal, but I would have preferred to stay.

My favourite place to stay in Beirut Very friendly stuff and feels like family Perfect located in Hamra and has all you need to chill one day at the hotel… restaurant Em Nazih, Gym and Rooftop with pool

This place is so good we canceled our next hotel to stay here longer. The rooftop pool is awesome, it’s clean and quite big, there’s tasteful (and not loud, which is so rare!) music, pool bar and super friendly « at home » vibe. We’ve spent a few days - morning to evening - just by the pool and absolutely loved it. The two double-beds room we had was huge, newly renovated and clean. I was surprised to see a room this big and new for this price. It was also quiet which is a big win. (I obviously can’t vouch for other type of rooms). The staff was friendly and helpful. The Lebanese restaurant on the first floor is one of the best in Beirut from our knowledge. The food is really good, but I recommend it for lunch & dinner, the breakfasts are too big for one person and overall not a huge deal (like anywhere we stayed in Lebanon for some reason). On fridays they played concerts. All in all, this place is amazing

Where do I begin; from the friendly and professional reception/front desk staff, then going up to the next floor where you find a simply unique restaurant offering great menu with pleasant atmosphere; on the second floor, you walk into the small yet clean gym that offers all you need to stay in shape and workout your stress! As for the custodian staff, I can't say enough about their hard work ready to do whatever it takes to make sure you have everything you need. Now, let's hop up to the roof-top, where you can simply chill and soak in the sun during the day, and enjoy the absolutely beautiful atmosphere in the evening; Each and every staff member at the rooftop is amazingly magnificent. Last but certainly not least, By The Way bar, this place provides a chill and conversational vibe, with old school unique style and absolutely fun-feel music: Abu Ali, you are awesome, thank you. To all levels of management, Thank for making me feel at home. I will see y'all later: Ciao for now.

Swiming pool is Perfect and free to hotel residents Location is easily accessible in Hamra Area Staff are friendly and professional Rooms are spacious and furnished very well. Massive window of urban life view. Rates are the best here compared to most hotels in the area. The administration is so perfect under supervision of Mr. MIKE. He deserves more than 5 star rating and perfect 10/10.

Located in the heart of Hamra neighborhood, it one of the best cafes of the city (Where the breakfast is being served) and a nice pool bar on the rooftop.

It was my first time in Lebanon and I had an amazing stay here for 11 days! The staff were super accommodating especially hossam don’t think I spelt that right. Honestly would recommend this place to anyone they go above and beyond, very central location and great rooftop honestly miss the staff and will definitely be back if I stay in Lebanon again thanks for making my trip special ❤️❤️

the stay was good, but I had a problem that will make me never come back. I forgot money that I had kept in the room and I remembered it a couple of hours after I checked out. I went back to the hotel and the reception guy asked the cleaning worker to walk me to the room in order to check my forgotten belongings out. The room was already cleaned, the money wasn't at the place I left it (under the kettle) and finally no one ever admitted to seeing anything.

Rooms and reception are really great although there is no mixed rooms, the only thing is the Syrian guy and the bar is disgusting and pool is closed off season

I booked airport transfer to the hotel (provided flight number and expected time of arrival), but the flight was delayed ~4h so when I arrived in the airport there were noone there to pick me up. I did message the hotel that the flight was delayed and suggested they check flight status to prevent someone waiting longer than necessary. When I got to the hotel by my own means I still had to pay for the transfer I didn't get. What truly bother me is that the staff blamed this delay on me and for not informing this delay in detail. They had a responsibility which they didn't fulfill and put the blame on me. Not a great experience... I also missed the first breakfast (which I had paid for in advance) due to not being informed that you need to ask for it at the bar. Other than this I slept well, had good laundry service and good location.

We had an excellent stay at Hamra Urban Gardens, it will definitely blow your expectations away. Good location, clean premises, but most importantly lovely and friendly staff, especially Issam and Houssam, so helpful and kind! Thank you for the hospitality.

Hamra Urban Gardens is one of the best places to stay in Beirut. It is in a great location, close to shops and the sites. The staff is very friendly and helpful with anything that you might need, even helping with travel logistics not related to my stay. The dorm rooms and private rooms were both very clean and comfortable. The restaurant attached to the hotel has a great breakfast and the room service is great!

What a find! Loved everything about this spot - affordable rates, great and friendly staff (especially Issam), stylish decor and fun vibes. Everyone was so nice! Love that you can go to a rooftop pool in heart of Beirut. Can’t wait to return!

The staff was friendly but the room was not worth the price. The room is basic and the breakfast is limited. For this price, you could get a better hotel in Beirut. I chose this place particularly for the access to the pool, but at the check in they told us that the pool was not yet open for swimming.

HUG felt more like a hotel with dorm room options than a hostel. If you are really into the social hostel scene this may not be the place for you as there is no one common area, but there is a rooftop pool and bar which was pretty happening while I was there. It was clean, the dorm beds were spacious and had privacy curtains, electrical outlet and reading light. The breakfast in the cafe was excellent and well worth the extra $.

Nice basic hotel. Great location. Lively bar inside can be loud in room at night. Some smell from shower drain. TV was snowy screen. Room always a bit damp. But for the price we would stay again.

Very nice rooftop pool with a decent entry fee and great music! You’ll enjoy the long chairs and hammock. The pool is pretty small so it does quickly get crowded and the drinks could be improved…

Very kind employees, clean rooms, delicious food at café em nazih, a cozy bar with pool on the rooftop, located into the heart of the city - just the perfect place to stay in Beirut

Incredible value and wonderful staff. You have to meet Morris at the pool bar! He's so entertaining. Thank you for a fantastic visit.

Great stay!!! The rooms were so spacious and clean, high quality. The neighborhood is great went plenty local restaurants and bars worth checking out. Our biggest complain would be that the music in the downstairs bar is VERY loud. We heard it both nights we stayed, and wish it were quieter. So if you're a light sleeper, maybe going to be annoying.

HUG is the best value for money u can get in Beirut, from dorms to deluxe rooms. The location is central, the team is great, & the hotel is very nice with all comodities (bar, restaurant, Gym, swimming pool...). Since I discovered HUG, I never went elsewhere ! And they don't pay me for this. The perfect choice for your stay in Beirut !
