Sometimes, words are never enough to express the true intensity of a culinary experience. This is exactly how I felt after my experience at Burgundy. Welcome to Lebanon's finest: when reality turned into a trip to the land of wonders, a meal I'll remember for a long time. Lunch at Burgundy is one of the finest meals I've had to date, a two star Michelin experience at least.

One restaurant in Lebanon that is worthy of being on the Michelin Guide in my opinion is Burgundy. The ingredients used are of the highest caliber and the chef pays attention to details. The items on the plate are meticulously displayed in an appealing way that makes you not want to touch them. However, then you think of how appetizing they seem and you know you have to have a taste. I have visited Burgundy twice and both times the food was delicious. The in-house smoked salmon appears to be done being smoked right in front of you on the table when the cover is removed and the salmon is revealed under the cloudiness. The salads are filled with flavor and the mashed potato served with the steak is silky smooth. It was the first time I had ever tasted a soft-shell crab and it was an interesting experience for a person with arachnophobia. We had a selection of cheese before the dessert. I am a person that really likes cheese so I enjoyed that platter. I also loved the chutney provided with the cheese; I adore the marriage of taste that cheese and chutney create in my mouth. The desserts were delectable, especially the chocolate souffle. I think molten chocolate is one of the greatest creations ever made. Actually, writing this blog post now makes me want to go to Burgundy again very soon.

Burgundy is a restaurant that takes the dining experience to a whole new level, the decor and ambiance are perfect, the staff is one of the best and very friendly, as for the food Chef Youssef Akiki is an expert that never fails to impress. I can’t say that anything I tried was less than exceptional.

I seem to be the exception here but the food was overly flavoured with sauces and salty as a result. For the price this place needs to be better. The atmosphere is quite pleasant and the wines are excellent as to be expected. Maybe go for a drink.

Excellent food and outstanding service. You should try the frog legs as starter and any meat dish will be just great. The desert is also a must. Make sure to try the souffle . Limited number of tables makes the place cosy. The decor is elegant and lighting is perfect. I would rate it as one of the top restaurants in Beirut.

By far the best restaurant in Lebanon. Excellent food quality, ingredients, ambiance and service. You can easily order anything from the menu and be sure that it will be the best that you ever tasted. You can't find a restaurant in Lebanon that even gets close to it on any level. All the other competitor restaurants in Beirut use lower quality ingredients and are overpriced for what they offer. Burgundy is a bit more expensive but is totally worth it. Their wine menu is astonishing and it gets updated periodically. A must try!

The food is good and the staff is very friendly and professional. However Burgundy is way too o-o expensive for what it is. You end up paying much more than what to expect. The average bill for One person's meal (with only one glass of wine) is above 150 $. Rapport qualité /prix= très mauvais

My favorite restaurant in Beirut. The decor is welcoming and the seating is very comfortable. If you wanted an informal setting, the bar is perfect. The food is delicious and the quality has remained high year after year. There is a also great selection of wine. Highly recommend it if you are looking for a good business dinner, a romantic dinner or simply a great dinner or lunch restaurant with friends and/or family.

Ready for the Michelin star! Everything was excellent, and comparable to most 1 star Michelin restaurants I have tried in Europe.

Good presentation does not imply good food. The linguist one had a very strong burnt taste, many items were not available, the pork was dry and many of the dishes were good but lacked luster or did not have this kick indicating that it is special. Wine was excellent. I would not recommend especially at this price point

Taste is decent, presentation is decent. Nothing fancy when it comes to cooking techniques used. Good ingredients. @ 210 usd per menu I definitely expected Much more. Service is certainly decent - but few aspects can be heavily improved. When you operate at those price points - it’s all about the details. Ex: - wife and I go for tasting menus and ask for wine recommendations. It’s supposed to be a cave as well; the recommendation process was one of the weakest I have experienced. And I’ve been around. Sommelier seems to be absent as the waiter took our order and tried his best to explain only one option. - we clearly stated my my wife doesn’t want any truffles as part of her menu. One of the dishes came with truffles. See those aspects sort of ruin the culinary journey you would be trying to get and make you not recommend the place or come back. At this price point, it is disappointing. Otherwise definitely still among the finest in Lebanon - value aside.
