The best Japanese authentic dining experience in Beirut with the freshest products & sashimis! You can enjoy the chef’s selection on the bar or simply à la carte. Worth the price!

The place is very small and can get very crowded and cramped very easily. I highly advise to call ahead of time to make a reservation for your party in order to have a good place to sit down and enjoy the restaurant. The place is a little pricy due to it’s location in downtown Beirut.

Upscale japanese restaurant. Booking is a must. Consider at least 50$ per person. If you wish you can have an omakase menu at the bar for 100$. The food is incredible. I would advise to order the udon even if you came for sushi.

It was a new level of Japanese food. I have never tasted anything like this before. I can't find the words to describe what i ate. You might find it overpriced but you pay for quality and service. Our waitress Rola was super nice, I have never met a waitress so informative and who knows what she's talking about like she does. Everything we ordered was her choice and we did not regret it. All the ingredients were fresh. The wasabi was not synthetic we also got to see the machine that makes the wasabi. The restaurant offered us a complimentary dish: sushi roll made of baby shrimp wrapped in a seaweed . They have a lot of variety such as sushi, udon noodles, grilled dishes and cold dishes. They also have an option to eat what the chef prepares for you, he might prepare something out of the menu.

Mitsu-ya is a high-quality Japanese restaurant with a diverse and innovative menu satisfying all your taste buds. They use fresh seafood and sushi-grade salmon and tuna. We ordered nabe yaki udon noodles, grilled octopus, and tartar of the house, and they were all excellent. I recommend finishing your outing by getting one of their tasty desserts, especially the homemade ice-creams.

If it wasnt over priced I would even rate it 6 stars.. All the staff were nice & friendly. The food was an experience, the tuna and salmon used were fresh and fatty. Very delicious Japanese food. The chef was extremely nice.

So far the best sushi place I've tried in Beirut. The taste is amazing .. so fresh. Worth every penny. When we are in Lebanon my husband requests to go there minumum 4 times a week 😂 I swear.

The restaurant ambiance is very cozy. They have a variety of authentic Japanese dishes…must try marinated salmon, hamachi Kama toro, uro maki volcano and the wagu. What I enjoyed and is rare in lebanon is that they have Korean kimshi which is great to have with the grilled Australian tenderloin 👌👌👌

The seabass carpaccio was just amazing. The seaweed salad was very fresh and well seasoned. The sushis were very creative with new textures and flavors. Some nice combinations like for example the Ying Yang roll with salmon, tuna and yuzu. However I was a little bit disappointed by the size of the sushi bites, they were really small.

The best Japanese restaurant in Beirut. Super fresh raw fish and gourmet top notch ingredients are used to achieve that. Mitsuya is not your regular sushi place that serves sushis and maki rolls with crab sticks avocado and mayonnaise, it’s the real deal, the kind of restaurant that is considered Up-Scale Japanese dining. Prices reflect that (80$-120$ per person), but it’s totally worth it. My wife and I often sit at the bar and indulge in the Omakase menu where the chef prepares for us live a 10 course sushi dinner. Top notch 👍

The food is of high quality and tastes great. The Staff are friendly and well-informed about the menu items. Prices are perhaps slightly over the top but worth it as very few (if any) other places offer such quality food.

Lovely dinner. Peaceful ambiance and nice service. Enjoyed the cooked items more than the sushi.

By far the best sushi/sashimi in Lebanon. The tuna, seabass and yellowtail were to die for. The crab in the crazy roll was super fresh and sweetly fragrant. Did I mention it’s one of the few places in Beirut that don’t use imitation crab? Only downside is the communication with the waiters was not the best. Our order was missed/forgotten about twice. Should have given them 4 stars, but the food was so good I am still elated.

Once you step in that small restaurant, you re immediately taken by the japanese feel and setup. Waitresses are dressed in traditional japanese clothes, and the head chef is japanese. the employees will pamper you and make sure you are having a wonderful time. They have a wide selection of spirits and wines. My pick when i go there is always sake. Mitsu-ya will not serve any cheap cuts of fish, and this is why it is more expensive than other sushi restaurants. However i still think it is overpriced, and be careful since their prices are VAT excluded which is something i always forget about when im there. About the taste, this place really took my palette to another world, and i will never forget the time i ordered their seared fatty tuna sushi. A mesmerizing experience, the piece of fish just melted in my mouth. In my opinion, a good place for special occasions.

The quality of food is really good but they can improve the taste to be more flavorful.

This was a delightful find while wandering in Beirut. The atmosphere is zen and the chef and his team take great attention to detail and make you feel quite at home. The sushi is fresh and the dishes vibrant. A very charming and authentic experience. I shall be back and bring my friends :).
