The venue is this old house in Hamra, with a garden and high ceiling interior rooms. I just had coffee which is great and they had a lot of great coffee beans and accessories. The staff was so helpful and answered a lot of my questions. The coffee was great but I never like their display, why serve coffee in tea glasses! It just doesn't feel right.☹️

Very stylish place! Spacious, great garden. Good for work. Coffee variety also nice, they have specials with alternative milk and chocolate. Overall I was very satisfied to sit and drink my v60 here.

A hidden gem in the bustling city of Beirut ✨ The moment you walk in you feel the tranquility even though the café is located right in the city centre. I was greeted with a wonderful smile by the staff who recommended me their pour-over coffee and I’d have to say one of the best I’ve tried ! The food menu is diverse and has a wide selection of options; even vegan and vegetarian friendly ! The chef is amazing and accepted my opinion on one of the dishes with all respect. Love everything about the concept and the preservation of Lebanese architecture within the café. Definitely recommend it to anyone in the area ! Thank you to the staff for a lovely experience ☺️

The location is quite awkward but once you enter the property gates you are transported to a different dimension. We toured the house and opted for a table at the back garden. What a lovely place. Thing is neither the food/coffee were to the same standards. I would still recommend a visit, but expect to pay above average prices for mediocre food. The wifi is very good, which is def a plus!

When you think Beirut, one coffee shop comes in mind: Kalei Coffee, Ras Beirut. Having this signature of traditional old beautiful Lebanese house, Kalei offers more than this. Roasting freshly their coffee beans give a unique special taste to their coffee. The “persian love cake” is to die for 😍, i ordered 2 pieces! And the cookies are so delightful. Sitting outdoor under the orange tree and hearing the birds singing while reading a book or working on your laptop is the best you can ask for.

Well I love this place quite as much as the other one in Mar Mikhael. An old venue fully renovated with a lot of charm. A time travel in Beirut classy, elegant yet humble. Great coffee of course but great food and specially breakfast. Nice and kind staff

It is the second branch of the cafe, fantastic place, well organised and wonderful coffee and cake. Seating in the garden is absolutely recommended with professional staff helping you out. It is a renovated house so you’ll love the architecture of the place

Wow, the most serene coffee shop. The staff were absolutely lovely, especially our awesome waitress. Loved our affogato and espresso lemonade- my unexpected new favourite drink!

Nice cafe with delicious brunch options. Everything we had tasted great: awarma, egg burger, halwa pancake. The hibiscus lemonade was on-spot, and the coffee lemonade is a new taste to try.

best and cutest coffee spot in hamra they have a big menu when it comes to coffee and food their coffee was great as always but the blueberry pancakes were mid and it took like 30 mins to come out loved to sit outside in their garden, super clean and spacious the waiter was super nice and helpful (he stayed with me for like 5 mins to choose which coffee to get😅)

A hidden gem in beautiful & quite neighbourhood in beirut🫶 we happen to pass by this place while wandering around, they serve coffee, breakfast, & Brunch. The staff is absolutely friendly and welcoming, there are outdoor & indoor seats surrounded by a garden, they also have a small triftshop on the side. Loved their coffee & breakfast absolutely recommended!

The coffee shop offers a calm and relaxing ambiance in the heart of Beirut. Their delicious drinks make for a perfect morning treat, complemented by a great atmosphere and a friendly team. Honestly, I haven't tried the food yet, but I plan to try it next time.

The place is pretty cozy! loads of comfy places and just feels nice. The staff are really nice and helpful! The animals there make it even more cozy and cute. One thing that stood out to me was the music they were playing! such good music!!! I dont know if the shop doesnt add sugar to their drinks or i may have misunderstood what they said but the Espresso Freddo and Cappuccino were VERY bitter. Prices are a tiny bit high too. But overall its a nice place to go to and study or even have a date there!

The new location is just amazing, the old house and the furniture complimenting it. The servers are always helpful and nice. The place is a bit cold, and i wish they can add skimmed milk to their selection

I always loved this place, both locations. But i was dissatisfied with how they served the iced latte in a long glass. A speciality coffee place should be considerate of how they serve coffee, I felt I was drinking an alcoholic drink.

One of the best coffee shops I've tried in 2019, it's an old house in Beirut, each room in the house has few tables, seats are comfortable, coffee is great as I knew they are doing in house roasting for beans, what I liked also is the European style of drinking water (free flow :)) Outdoor area is great in summer time ( I tried the place when it was raining heavily) What is missing is indoor smoking section and more choice for sweets Waiters are very welcoming Great job, I recommend this place for having a nice cup of coffee with friends

A specialty coffee shop that roasts beans, sells coffee brewing-related products. Their prices are reasonable and the ambiance is enchanting.

A hidden cafe amidst the busy Mar Mikhail area of Beirut. The cafe is quiet, with good coffee and breakfast options. You could sit there for hours reading, writing or contemplating. It is definitely a rare find. For a while you will feel you are in some countryside cafe in France and not in Lebanon (please note this place is not carry typical Lebanon taste). I had my flight delayed and this was one of the best spots to be at and write about my trip. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful + there is good Wi-Fi = Had to mention this as there are quite a few reviews mentioning otherwise.

I came here every day to study for two weeks and can highly recommend this place. The garden behind the house is especially pleasant and has a very calm atmosphere, even though the location of the café is central.

If you were looking for a calm and sophisticated place to work on your laptop or even sip a glass of wine and chit chat, Kalei is definitely the answer. I tried their espresso lemonade, yup espresso lemonade! It has the strangest taste ever that had me utterly confused - would definitely recommend it if you love to try new and weird things on the menu just like I do!

A beautiful cafe tucked away from the busy and loud arts of Hamra. Located in a wonderful old home, this coffee shop offer coffee that’s roasted on its premises. Although it is pricey, for Lebanese standards, it’s definitely high quality and accessible to most foreigners. There’s lots of seating here ñ doors with three different rooms you can choose from and there’s also two outdoor seating areas to choose from. The staff are nice and are well trained barristas. Expect to enjoy a good cup of joe in a tranquil location that’s perfect for bringing a laptop and teleworking or studying.

Good place with friendly staff and reasonable prices great for spending the afternoon in. Would definitely suggest it for tourists as it is super friendly. But the only downfall would be the slow service as it is a big place. i would definitely revisit the place.
