Customer
service
needs
enormous
improvement.
Every
time
there’s
an
event
in
Hamra
this
is
the
case
in
Starbucks.
Instead
of
welcoming
people
to
show
them
friendliness
&
generosity,
they
block
their
lavatories
from
the
time
they
open
the
coffee
shop.
The
employees
aren’t
as
welcoming
&
friendly.
It
feels
like
they’re
following
military
orders
from
higher
management
that
also
need
to
change
their
approach
to
customer
service.
The
event
is
1
day,
what
happens
to
you
if
you
assign
1
staff
to
standby
by
the
lavatories
to
monitor
for
that
day?
At
least
you
can
do
is
to
allow
your
genuine
customers
to
use
the
facilities.
Being
an
international
franchise,
the
branch
doesn’t
comply
with
Starbucks
service
standards.
During
a
busy
day
in
Hamra,
where
an
event
under
the
title
of
“Nabad
Beirut”
was
ongoing
on
the
main
street
of
Hamra
which
happens
to
be
the
same
street
where
Starbucks
is
located,
I
ordered
coffee
&
I
asked
for
the
location
of
their
lavatories.
I
was
literally
instructed
to
go
to
another
restaurant
to
use
the
services
of
another
business
since
the
staff
were
instructed
to
block
all
the
lavatories
even
for
genuine
customers’
use.
How
unprofessional!
They
didn’t
allow
me
to
go
to
the
lavatory
telling
me
to
go
drink
my
coffee,
take
some
time
on
it
and
then
they
would
decide
if
they
would
allow
me
or
not.
I
was
shocked
at
their
behavior.
This
is
definitely
the
last
purchase
I
make
at
Starbucks.
