I had the most remarkable tour with Elie. Not only everything was perfect, but I felt, in every instance, that he truly cared about us, and did his best to make this trip memorable. Elie runs a highly professional organization. During all the trip his attention to detail and his consideration for his clients is superb. Excellent.

We emailed Nicola and asked for a tour in the mountains where we hoped to see the cedars, monasteries and have scenic views. On the day of the tour (mid March) the weather turned ugly: We did get our monasteries, cedars and waterfalls, but also a good quantity of snow and fog (killing our chance for many -normally- scenic views). Nicola suggested alternatives and we switched for the coast line, visiting dreamy Batroun and enjoying (amongs others) famous Hilmi lemonade. Nicola is full of stories covering just about every aspect a tourist may get in touch with during the stay in Lebanon. Just ask, you are guaranteed to have a fun day!

Being a clergyman from the US visiting Lebanon for the first time, I was longing to visit Hamatoura Monastery. When I Googled Hamatoura Monastery taxi and tour, 'Explore Lebanon Tour' was the only tour guide company I found that offered this unique excursion. The website was very informative and straightforward. After I emailed them, they replied right away with all the pertinent information/price which exactly matched the website's information on this particular excursion. I was able to book my trip right away and the driver connected me with soon after. Tour guides Elie and Angela were prompt in picking me up at 630AM and from the very start, they provided excellent hospitality, friendly conversation, and professionalism. We hiked up the breath-taking mountain together, toured the monastery grounds, participated in a prayerful church service, and were able to receive blessed insights from the monks. Very thankful to Elie and Angela for their excellent translating skills so that I could understand and speak to the monks and for taking and sending me the beautiful pictures. We had a incredible hike down the mountain with incredible views and drive back via the beautiful city of Batroun. I love the fact that 'Explore Lebanon Tour' is not a huge commercial company, but more like a small family business with passionate, caring, professional, and humble employees who are devoted to providing the best tour experience possible while at a very reasonable and fair price. Honestly, I had such a blessed tour to Hamatoura Monastery with Tour guides Elie and Angela and I will remember then and this blessed tour experience for the rest of my life. Elie was the best tour guide ever. Very courteous and flexible. We did not have a plan and entrusted Elie with our desires. He knew exactly where to take us. We were not rushed and got to spend enough time at locations we wanted. He was eager to make sure he understood our food preferences and took us to good local eateries. Very prompt and comfortable travel with this company. Hoping to go back for more of the experience with Elie.

I had everything planned for Lebanon back in late 2019/early 2020 and then Covid hit - all with Explore Lebanon Tours. At the time, me and Luka were going back and fourth with emails until it all came crumbling down. Fast forward to 2023, I again made contact with Luka and... he remembered me! He still had all my details, itinerary e.t.c of where I wanted to go! Amazing :) Luckily, I had a friend coming along with me this time (as we were actually going on to Syria after Lebanon - you can read my review of Syria under my profile) which made the day trips in Lebanon even more enjoyable. We booked four tours with them and non of it was disappointing. We had Elie as our driver and guide for three of the four days, and Hussein for one. Baalbek was a definite highlight. We also went on a hike at the Chouf Cedars, visited Byblos, Harissa and the Grotto, Batroun and the star... Mount Lebanon. We specifically wanted to go to Mount Lebanon to see Laqlouq ponds - which required a hike of about 2hrs (including photo time) return. Elie knew exactly where we needed to go and gave us directions. If were went ourselves, would've take a whole lot longer. Non of the mainstream tour operators in Lebanon tend to advertise these nature walks/hike. If you haven't heard of Laqlouq ponds, see my photo. Most just take you to Baalbek, Grotto e.t.c. Explore Lebanon Tours will literally move mountains to make your trip enjoyable and fit everything in as you desire. Elie and Luka were fantastic. I couldn't thank them enough. Luka was lovely with all the prompt communication - even though I never got to meet him! Elie did all the driving - he's a wonderful and safe driver - and was SO patient with us. We took so many photos at locations and Elie never complained. If you get Elie as the guide, you'll be in very good hands :) He's super gentle - he's an ex bar-tender too! Hope we meet again Elie/Luka - if you come to Australia, please say hi!

We had the most amazing tours with Elie, of both Chouwen and Becharre/Chouf/Quannoubine on different days. Elie was a great driver, super accommodating and had a lot of great info to share about the history and details of Lebanon :) he even showed us an amazing secret lookout spot in Becharre with some of the best views I’ve ever seen 👀 highly recommend!

Highly recommended tour operator. Our guide was Elie, very attentive, kind, friendly and professional. Thanks to him my friends and I had a lovely day. Our trip was to Cedars, Bcharre and Kozhaya. His driving was excellent, he showed us some beautiful panoramic spots also on the route. We took this tour beg. April, there was still snow covering the Cedars forest, make sure to have suitable shoes to be able to walk safely on snow. Thanks to Google search, I found this operator and am glad I did.

We wanted to add Tripoli to the typical Jeita Grotto, Byblos and Harissa tour but many Beirut tour operators claimed it was not possible to fit this itinerary into one day. We were very appreciative that Explore Lebanon Tours made it happen, thanks to the owner, Luka, and Elie, our excellent driver and guide. Throughout the day, Elie kept us on track to see everything. We took one of the first boats of the day at Jeita Grotto to beat the crowds which gave us some extra time at Tripoli where Elie was very helpful in guiding us to the famous hamman and soap factory. After this we arrived in good time at Byblos where we spent an enjoyable afternoon at the archaeological site and in the town center. We finished off the day at Harissa, after which Elie helped us collect luggage from our Beirut hotel and took us to the airport for our flight to Istanbul. We are very grateful to Explore Lebanon and Elie for making this a really memorable final day of our trip. We would strongly recommend Explore Lebanon to other visitors and make sure to request Elie as your driver and guide!

We booked a last-minute day trip to Baalbeck & Ksara winery for 6 people, and Elie (from Explore Lebanon) found us a car despite it being high season. The day of the tour, he even came prepared with a whole pack of water bottles & some snacks for the road, as it was quite hot & humid. Elie was friendly, nice to talk to and helpful throughout the trip, and made sure everything went perfectly throughout the trip. His organised tour guide in Baalbeck was also really nice, friendly, funny and informative. Overall, it was an excellent trip and I am happy to have organised the trip through Elie.
