Stayed close to here. One of the best areas in Beirut, Achrafieh. Many shops around and one of the posh malls, ABC.

The heart of Achrafieh, great place for a coffee with friends

A beautiful square with many trees, restaurants and cafes. Its also a very busy square with lots of cars and people

It's a dump. Just a load of traffic lights. If it really was a 'social centre' people talk about then it should be more people friendly. And I don't mean ABC which is simply a copy paste shopping mall

This is like the center of Beirut, you can get to almost anywhere from here. Lots of services, buses and taxis pass by here until very late (about 1 AM). Also, there are coffee shops and restaurants with reasonable prices and they're easy to get to.

It's a very symbolic place but I think if governmental care was taken more seriously, it could be easy more attractive. Both ways, you can not escape from it, you must pass by sassine square to get access to some places so yeah it's nice and cute. Needs a little makeover though.

It's a outdoor public place with lots of thing to see and do. A day would be plenty of time there. Its is crowded with people and cars but if you are touring you expect the touristy areas to be crowded otherwise they would not be worth it. Please like this review if you read it.
