Beyt is a lovely hidden gem in Mar Mkhayel. Takes you back to the old days of the beautiful beirut with its architecture and interior. With a lovely garden and a charming balcony on the other side, you can enjoy a feel of Mar Mkhayel. Food is good. I had a pizza, good portion, tasty and good value for money. I would have hoped if the staff was a bit more responsive and proactive… had to go to the kitchen everytime for them to take order or get me the bill etc…

A casual and nice place located in the heart of Mar Mikhael. It is an old house, furnished casually with old and traditional furnitures. They have an indoor and outdoor. They have a light menu and a variety of beverages and alcohol. A good place to meet, work and read.

A lovely place! I totally recommend it, just not in the hot summer days. The garden is amazing and it's perfect for a first date or a fast friends' get together. And the nicest thing is the sweet people who work there.

It is kind of hidden in terms of place so i hope they add a sign outside. The food is 5 stars but the service is so slow. I think the employees were kind of bullies because i wasnt hearing them well (hearing issues) and they were like really rude laughing. Anyway, I don't think i liked the experience but had a great company so ata3t.

We didn’t see the rooms so we cannot comment on them. But the food was really good and the service equally good. The portions were good and well presented. The small shop has a lot of local items for sale at reasonable prices. The seating overlooking the street is very pleasant if you can get it, usually they are full so they might not be available.

Great breakfast and atmosphere. By changing your table you can have a new ciew with a new decoration, the place is splendid! The waiters however, are sometimes absent.

It is amazing how a small door and a stairs can lead you to such garden. A really authentic Lebanese architecture, with a seating areas and a shop that sells homemade jams and even wine. The coffee options was fantastic. And the calmness of the space is what attracts you the most. However the lace of Wi-Fi makes it the worst thing about this beautiful space

This place is beautiful and cozy, it’s a shame they don’t have wifi nor encourage remote workers. I would have loved to be able to sit down there for a bit with my laptop. I do get the point of them wanting to keep it as a social café as opposed to a digital nomad hub, though.

We went to Beyt Cafe in Gemmayze for brunch on a Saturday morning at 11 am and found two open tables outside. The place looks like an old Lebanese house with a small garden-like terrace. It's a nice break from city noise, especially if you like sipping coffee surrounded by greenery. We ordered espresso, americano, cappuccino, and lemonade. The first three were tasty, but the lemonade was pretty basic. For food, we got a ham and cheese omelette (a bit too salty), a good mushroom omelette, and a vegetable omelette that needed more salt and flavor. We also ordered a labneh dish with veggies on the side. The prices were okay, and we paid around $43 for everything. The service was a bit slow. We had to go inside each time we needed the waiter, but at least the food came on time. We gave the ambiance a 4/5 because it's a charming place. For food, we rated it 3/5 – good but could be tastier. Service got a 3/5 too. Oh, and it's a pet-friendly place!

Came here for breakfast, ingredients were simple yet fresh. We arrived at 9 am and it was packed by 10 am so I would advise coming earlier to ensure a good outdoor spot. We enjoyed the lovely interior and the service was great as well.

this is my first visit to Beyt Mar Mikhael. i had a good experience at Beyt Amir so i wanted to find the franchise. i love the concept of turning a home into a restaurant cafe vibe. it’s wonderful and cosy. i came at night so i preferred alfresco seating at the balcony. it was private and lovely atmosphere. i ate the eggplant rolls with halloumi & spicy pizza. awesome! all vegetarian, and it was good quality. i also had the hibiscus cocktail which was sweet and to my liking. my husband had blueberry lemon gin, also delicious. overall, very pleased!

Hidden gem in the Mar Mkhael area. This coffee shop is located on the first floor of an old building with traditional architecture and has an amazing rear garden at the rear. The place has also a small selection of food items, mostly pizzas and salads and a few appetizers. Highly recommended for a coffee meetup or to work / study.

Lovely Café in the heart of Mar Mikhayel. Old traditional house turned amazingly into a hidden gem for coffee lovers and a quick bite or drink.

Good establishment. Simple kitchen with a small menu, while there is plenty to choose from. Delicious pizza and great appetizers - excellent eggplant! There are several areas with tables: indoors in beautiful interiors, in the courtyard hidden from the city noise and on the balcony. Recommend!

This place is a quiet haven. We were working in Beirut from UK for a week and visited here every day, either breakfast or afternoon for coffee. Sometimes both. Staff are great. Surroundings beautiful. An oasis. Can't wait to return.

Very nice place. Good ambiance. Only reason I didn’t give it a “5-Star” rating as I left still hungry even after a pizza and shared a garlic bread. Would recommend to try.

Wonderful experience, a cosy place in the heart of beirut where you can enjoy your meal or drink between all these vintage stuff which takes you back to the beautiful old beirut.

We came at around 7:30 we sat down and ordered tea. Tea took around 30 mins to arrive. I had my laptop open, and then the waiter asks me to close my laptop as they have a no laptops policy after 5. I was shocked as both waiters were rude about it! The place has a very nice setting but if this is the hospitality, then its not worth it.. We ended up paying 90 thousand for tea that we didn't drink and left because of the frustration..

Absolutely beautiful place and the waitress was super nice as well so it hurts me to leave this one star but in 2022 I think having at least one plant based milk (soy/oat/etc milk) to go with coffee is the minimum. I know lebanon is going through a rough time but a few other cafes in the street do offer it at the moment! Will definitely remove the review if they add it ☺️🙏🏽

Great location in a traditional Lebanese house. This coffee shop used to be a guest house before August 4th and it seems that the people of Beirut have transformed it into something beautiful again. The menu offers some nice options but is often out of stock. A small concept store at the entrance fills a room with all sorts of local products, food(oil, cheese, wine), and handmade artifacts. Good spot for a catch-up with friends.

Cute place, beautifully renovated with Arabic atmosphere. Kind staff and fast service. Although I have to say that cappuccino wasn't that good, they didn't have any herbal tea, except black tea and furthermore the room was cold, there was no heating.

A lovely outdoor garden and a charming interior that make you feel disconnected although it's located in the heart of Beirut! Their desserts and drinks sell out very fast on Sundays so make sure you visit in early afternoons. They also sell homemade and organic products for reasonable prices. The green olives tapenade pot is worth the try!

One of a kind ambiance with a very relaxing layout to enjoy some peace and quite whether sitting indoor or outdoor. The layout gives it a homey vibe which adds another layer to making you feel comfortable. The food is absolutely delicious especially their pizzas. Prices are fairly put and you get a great value for the money you spend.

Gorgeous renovated traditional Lebanese house, with a nice selection of authentic dishes made out of local products. A must while visiting mar mikhael and in need of a relaxing break.

Fantastic experience all around. Firstly the space is magnificent - you’ve got the option of indoor or outdoor dining. Lots of candles and twinkly lights, really beautiful ambience. The food is great - I had a zucchini ricotta salad and a Perrier, both of which were perfect but the staff is really what makes this place stand out. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating - couldn’t have asked for a better final night in Beirut. Thanks so much!
