Some time ago, before COVID 19 and the economic crises in Lebanon, this place used to host amazing festivals of all kind, Local food, Wine, Beer, Agriculture, Flowers,, Furniture, etc. Hope all this will come back soon.

Cool horse track with races every Sunday. Very vintage feel, with old Lebanese men gambling. It is free to enter, but the betting system is a little difficult to figure out as it is only in french and Arabic. After the race you need to wait 10 minutes to get your winnings. The races takes two minutes with half an hour in-between, so there is a lot of sitting around. On a sunny day it is a great activity to chill with shisha and a coffee or beer.

Beautiful location for events such as the Beirut Garden Show. Lots of pine trees and space. Parking is a bit crazy during events though.

One of the very few green areas in Beirut, the horse track is home to equestrian lovers as much as to those looking to try their luck. The most interesting aspect of this area is in the various events that are held on the premises from Vinifest to the Gardening exhibit...etc

This has the potential to be a great scene and setup for Beirut. Rather than having the fields open for view to the citizen in Beirut. Obviously for security concerns the entire track is walled. This place never manage to reinvent itself to attract all classes of people. The municipality of Beirut should do something about; but again what do u expect from a corrupt officials.

We went there for the spring and garden show. It was wonderful. I love going there every year because of the joyful vibes that get spread in the air

Huge place. Attended the wine festival Vinifest there. Had a great time. But the whole place is red sand. So wear adequate shoes.

What an experience. A unique and VERY worthwhile way to experience Beirut. Check their website to confirm their racing dates. Currently only Sunday’s. First race at 1500. It’s beautiful, but pretty bare bones. I was confused when they wouldn’t sell me an entry ticket. It’s because I’m a foreigner. The soldiers at the gate waved me through. At first, they wanted me to leave my phone and register my passport, but then a “commander” waived me through and said I could take pics because I am American. Seemed like they would be stricter, but the opposite was the case the whole time I was there. So you get a one page “program” that gives you the basics. Amazingly, the website is updated in real time and gives you much more info, including a pic of the horse. The guys at the betting window don’t speak English, nor do most of the spectators. I used Google translate and kept my bets simple. And won a little money. It was great fun, and I was clearly a curiosity to my fellow attendees. Go! Support this great place with a rich history!
