πŸ‘πŸ‘ We did not camp here as we stayed in the units but we surely visited nearly every day. This Caravan Park had a fantastic play area, beautiful natural surroundings as well as the best R&R drinks. People often mention park, area, caravan, game, water, kids, great, staff,

Lots of trees. Beautiful. Monkeys are a nuisance, so ensure that you manage your outside area very well. They do know how to open drawers and canisters... believe me. Bird life is amazing - some birds even take fruit from your hand.

A fantastic feature within the heart of the nature reserve. The facility is well kept and extremely clean. There's a choice of pools with one being heated as well as slides and a play area for the kids. The pools are overlooked by the bar/restaurant giving parents a chance to relax while the kids burn energy. Ablutions are the best I have used at any camp site, they are clean and modern. There is a convenience store located within the caravan park as well. This is a definite "must visit" for campers and caravaners.

Worse camp experience ever. Nobody can control the people making very loud music and loud singing and talking. Even if you phone and lay a complaint, nothing changes. What is the use to stay in the bush if you don’t even hear the birds or wild life. Sounds like we are in the middle of the location. Never stops!!! 2 o’clock in the morning. 6:30 in the morning. No afternoon naps at the place. I will never ever come back and will tell everyone of our bad experience.

Camp ground is great, but a little too loud for me, the sites are pretty close to one another. The People with kids quite inconsiderate especially in the early mornings.

This caravan park is incredibly noisey. We paid for peace and quiet in nature and got the opposite. Between constant leaf blowers, generators running, staff shouting to eachother at all hours, 4 game cars full of screaming school kids stopping as day visitors on our last day and staff vehicles speeding in and out the car park constantly. we have had no peace. We won't be rushing back, Joburg is quieter.

Campsite was not cleaned before arrival. Ablutions was not regularlly cleaned. Building rubble and building material is on the eyes. The game is awesome. Lot of game to see. The vultures nest area is ammazing. Restaurant is on the point with great service.

Lovely caravan park with an excellent bar with 2 jacuzzis. Cold water pool with a very small warm water pool, mostly occupied by the children. Our stand didn't have it's own electricity point and had no shade at all, although most sites do have fairly decent shade. Putt putt and kids play area not really the best. No provision made for loadshedding. Nice game viewing in the reserve itself.

    1. I'm not a caravanner, so this review is not very accurate. We were waiting for a game drive vehicle in the park. 2. All van sites are paved and clean. 3. Ablutions are spotless. 4. Grassed area between van sites are well-maintained. 5. Did not go into the shop for anything but was informed it had fairly limited stock.

We absolutely love this park. It has everything your heart could desire including the best shop we have ever come across in a caravan park. It has one shortcoming though. Day visitors absolutely ruin the pool/bar area most Saturdays and Sundays. So sad to see.

Biggest disappointment! We booked for 10 days but only stayed for 8. Upon our arrival, we realised that they were drilling a borehole... drilling started at 08:00 and stopped at 17:00. Definitely not the bushveld peace & quite we were looking forward to. If management only communicated this to us, we would have gladly changed our dates. Take note that there is no water available during loadshedding so plan your showers! Wont be back anytime soon. 5/10

Shocking how grown men trash toilets at an ablution. Used toilet paper hanging over the seat. Other one vomit all over. No rules being enforced and barely saw any staff members the whole weekend. Only saw security at gate and youngsters running the game drives. Expected more. Was under the impression this was a better class establishment. Also very little Covid measures in place.

Camping is a great place. I have a problem with the fact that you need to exit before 10am even though you have a booking for guided tours between 07:00 and 09:00.

Awesome camping site. Clean ablution. Pools are fun, clean and refreshing. Kids play area is a bit of a hazard. We only dod self drive and the wildlife is okay. Overall a great experience.

One of the best caravan parks I have been to. The entertainment for the kids are awesome, and the cleanliness of the bathrooms are top notch. Staff is so friendly and always helpful. Love it and will be back.

Mabalingwe ! After hearing people speaking highly of this establishment I was surprised by a few things. We visited family on 16 and 17 December 2023 at the caravan park. Paying the ablution blocks a visit these two days it was so messy. No water to flush the toilets. No running water early in the morning. The gravel roads had random massive potholes filled with water after a rainstorm. Normally one see people from management visiting holidaymakers to see if everything is in order. Caravaners complained that there is no regular security patrols especially at night. The pool at the restaurant was aquamarine in colour! Filthy!

I swore to myself in June 2023 that I will never camp at Mabalingwe caravan park again after an incident that you can contact me personally for the details. However, I received a voucher from another company for a weekend and I am here again. There is absolutely zero enforcement of any camping rules or regulations in this place. Hardly any hot water in the bathrooms and dilapidated old facilities. The last place that I will ever recommend to anyone. Really an absolute disaster and so unfortunate that this place has fallen into the current state that it is in.

A little bit disappointed, we got feeling they catered for certain people with a bar right by the pool area. Not the example I want to set for my children
