This was one of the best places we stayed on our Maine trip! Each room had two Adirondack chairs on a covered patio area overlooking a beautiful, grassy lawn, with cot hole game, several more Adirondack chairs, a volleyball net, and finally the Atlantic with beach area! It was so spacious and gorgeous! There is a nice indoor pool, sauna, hot tub, and little store with shirts, sweat tops, food, and Maine merchandise with a patio overlooking that same scenery only it is a floor up. Such a nice space for a cup of coffee, drinks, or lunch. The four of us really enjoyed our stay. Comfortable and clean rooms with nice hot shower. A short drive to downtown Belfast for dining, Marshall wharf brewing company (we loved that too) and coffee to bring back to hotel. We want to come back here when we come to see Fall foliage. The front desk girls were helpful, speedy, and had great attitudes!

No frills, a little outdated, but clean, comfortable, and with an absolutely gorgeous view. The front desk area has a little gift shop with some cute local items, and there's some good free coffee there too. The pool is a mineral pool and the kids really enjoyed it.

This hotel is located directly on the ocean. Though it is more like a large Bay and calmer water usually. There's a rocky Beach, indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna. The pool was a nice warm temperature in the jacuzzi was very pleasant. The sauna doesn't really get up to heat though. My room is very clean and spacious and it had a door opening to a patio facing the ocean. It was clean and relatively up-to-date. The lady who checked me in was very pleasant and helpful. They have some microwavable food for purchase in the lobby the pizza was pretty good. It's only a couple minute drive into town.

Hotel definitely needs an up date. The beds were comfortable. The rooms need to be cleaned better and all the carpet in the halls need to be thrown out. The pool wasn't heated and the hot tub was green. Ok stay overall.

Very dated structure, rooms with worn carpets, very dirty armchairs, patched tub, bad cleaning, blowflies left dead on the windows and other small details that would make you run away, but we had booked two nights and had to stay. We went to ask in the middle of the night to be able to change the room the next day, because the beds were really uncomfortable, but annoyed, we were told, that we would talk about it the next morning, which didn't happen, so two sleepless nights. The only positive note was the breathtaking ocean view, but we will not go back!

Less for more? We've stayed at this very pet friendly hotel on 3 occasions, but this was our first since the pandemic. The ground floor rooms are perfect for pet owners, your own door to the huge panoramic yard leading all the way down to the bay (even some free dog treats at the front desk). However, the price has gone up significantly and they seem to be running the place in pandemic mode still. They used to have at least a continental breakfast (I actually seem to remember eggs/bacon/sausage etc) and now the only complimentary thing is coffee, everything else is for sale ($2 for a little plastic bowl of cereal? Still need to purchase milk too...Everything else is processed packaged stuff, not even a fresh banana or apple?) No cleaning service whatsoever, you must hang a "request card" on your door just to get clean towels, a new garbage bag or some coffee pods. I know that help is hard to find, and I was way ahead of the curve regarding needing clean sheets daily, that's ridiculous, but needing to ask for clean towels and coffee pods, etc at this price point was disappointing. I hope they can bring the standard back to pre-pandemic levels. I'm rooting for ya, I really am. You have so much to offer and good pet friendly hotels are hard to find. Hope we can come back Fireside!

The room itself was very homey and organized well. The beds were extremely comfortable. The view from the patio was breathtaking with the beach in sight. And there was lots of green land where you could even play corn hole. The lobby was also a pleasant place to stay and chill that included arm chairs and tables. Even though there was no continental breakfast the abundant amount of hot drinks made up for it, which included coffee, mochas, hot chocolate and more. The only con is there was freezer burnt food in the freezer that was pretty pricey. They had snacks, like cookies and muffins that were good, but also kinda pricey. They did have a little Maine souvenir area in the lobby, which I thought was a great addition to the place. Every plush they sell all the proceeds go to a cancer foundation. And lastly the staff were incredibly welcoming and kind. Everyone from the front desk workers to the room service employees. This is by far one of the best hotel experiences. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Lovely setting along Penobscot Bay! Every room has a view of the water. The staff are friendly and helpful. We travel with our cat so took a pet friendly room on the ground floor (one floor down from reception). There is a single elevator which can mean a short wait. The furnishings on the ground floor are a bit tired but adequate and this is understandable given that these are the pet friendly rooms. Everything was clean. The hot tub had only one jet working and it was too complex to figure out if it was meant to be that way or should have had a higher setting. Overall a decent place to stay and enjoy the area.

Found the Inn on line for our weekend fall getaway. Rooms where clean and look good. The Inn has a nice mineral pool, as well as dry sauna and hot tub. The grounds where clean and well maintained as well as the Inn itself. Ladies at the desk where very friendly and helpful, would highly recommend. The price was definitely right too!

Our room was situated on the ground floor, just down the hall from the pool. Bed was comfortable & the view of the lawn & bay pleasant, but only 1 of us got a hot shower the first morning! When I mentioned this to the front desk, they explained that they had a group of teenagers staying the night before, so more water usage. When I asked for a discount, the front desk staff said that "wasn't their policy". For approx $175/night including no breakfast & possibly, no hot shower (you can buy cereal, muffins, etc. at their gift shop), I recommend the Belfast Harbor Inn down the street at a similar price, including a hot breakfast! Our mistake.
