We particularly love visiting the market at Christmas to buy fresh produce and to buy christmas presents from the variety of stalls. Always a great spot to get a bite of lunch too. A massive variety of food on offer and live music for entertainment. A gem of Belfast.

We really enjoyed visiting the market on Saturday. It felt more like we would have expected the Christmas Market to be like with more gift traders than food stalls. Great atmosphere and friendly stall holders

Love love love the place! They've got lots of freshly made warm meals, a good selection of fresh market fish, tickets, local businesses.. basically everything you'd expect to see in a market. People are very kind and friendly and happy to strike up a chat and tell you everything you need to know about their business, belfast, north ireland if not more!

Lovely food and craft stalls. Great music. Could do with a bit more seating. Also good toilet facilities. Wish I could come back to try some more!

Cool market. Almost a flea market in some places. Wide array of shops but generally not wildly high quality. We bought some cheese here and bought some Spanish food for lunch. Worth a visit!

St George's Market is one of Belfast's oldest attractions and one of the best markets in the UK and Ireland. Only open Fri, Sat & Sun. There has been a Friday market on the St George's site since 1604. The present award-winning St George's Market, built between 1890 and 1896, is one of Belfast's oldest attractions. As well as being home to some of the finest fresh produce, with customers travelling near and far to sample the delights of Friday, Saturday and Sunday markets, it has become one of the city's most popular places to visit. Since its £4.5m refurbishment in 1997, this charming Victorian building offers one of the most vibrant and colourful destinations that Belfast has to offer.

Nice place with lots of creative items and collectables from local artists. Beautiful sculptures, paintings, wool art, glass and resin designs and jewellery also available. The market is a weekend market and definitely worth a visit in Belfast. There are also various food items on sale here.

St George’s market is such an elegant place. I have never visited such a vibrant market in my life. The stalls, the food, the culture, the people, everything was super duper fun. We literally spend around 3hours inside the market. We visited on a Sunday. Says its open at 10am. But we were there by 9.30 and even when we were early there were so many open stalls. I was most attracted to the antique shops and obviously the food!

Wow, what a great place this is, with something for everyone! Live music, shopping extravaganza, food choices galore! Centrally located in the city center of Belfast with easy access from the train station, the market draws crowds from all over and is a great way to spend the day. Antiques, craft items, leather goods, artwork, jewelry.......just about anything you can imagine. Fresh fish, fruit, and vegetables are also available. Hand-crafted soaps and sauces, too! Dog-friendly, so you can bring your pooch. Open Friday through Sunday. Not to miss if you are a visitor to Belfast!

It was a spontaneous trip but I decided to visit St. George’s market. I absolutely loved it. I was only able to spend about an hour because I had to catch a flight however if I could stay for longer I definitely would have. There were so many different options for food and also many items that I could buy. There were vintage items and modern items and art and just so much. The location is very convenient as well and easy to find. I definitely want to come back again.

Visited pre Christmas on a Saturday afternoon. Nice atmosphere, live music playing good selection. Some food stalls had run out of items on their menu.

Love St George's Market, we usually visit every year but it's beautiful to go at Christmas time as the atmosphere is brilliant. You can be sure to pick up a nice Christmas gift here too which is usually hand made, or visit one of the many food stalls selling freshly made food to sit and eat - the chowder stall looked and smelt amazing! There's so much history in this one building too, this was the hub of the old Belfast, if you are interested the walls just outside of the market will tell you the stories.

Loved it. For the food. For the craft and for the vibe. For the coffee and the bakes. Spent a lot more than we would have liked. An absolute visit on a Sunday.

A great weekend market filled with food vendors and coffee booths. The other booths have everything from antiques to hardware/household good to souvenirs. We were surprised at how busting it was. A great so to start your morning/weekend.

Pretty market, very well spaced - good amount of choices for food, coffee, flowers and local stuff. Nice lively space to spend a couple of hours. The market gives me the vibes of greenwich market in London. But St George's is more spacious and you can certainly spend more time here. Businesses are generally friendly and have a nice chat. It has some places to sit down and grab food from any of the local stores. A nice place to come in for the weekend.

A Treasure Trove of Delights: St George's Market, Belfast I feel like giving it 5 stars is undervaluing this gem but here we go - St George's Market in Belfast is nothing short of a wonderland for anyone who appreciates the charm of the unique and the allure of history. This vibrant market is a paradise for treasure hunters and bargain seekers alike. During my recent visit, I was astounded by the incredible finds and the fantastic value for money that this place offers. One of my most cherished finds was a vintage book from the 1950s, priced at a mere 5 pounds. This book is a time capsule, transporting me back to a bygone era with every page I turn. Considering its value, both historical and sentimental, I was pleasantly surprised by its affordability, expecting it to be priced much higher. The culinary experience at the market was equally impressive. My girlfriend and I indulged in a meal that cost just 9 pounds, but the quality and quantity far exceeded our expectations. As a bodybuilder nearing 100kg, I'm no stranger to hearty meals, yet this was a delightful challenge. The dish was not only mouthwateringly delicious but also generously portioned. We were pleasantly surprised to find that it kept us full for the entire day. Adding to my haul, I found two charming vintage Christmas cards for my parents, each costing only 50p. The intricate design and nostalgic feel of these cards were a hit with my parents, who were amazed by their unique beauty. As I wandered through the market, I was captivated by the stunning array of paintings, art pieces, and jigsaw puzzles. Each stall and corner of the market brimmed with creativity and craftsmanship. It's a place that beckons me to return, not just for the bargains, but for the sheer joy of discovering something new and extraordinary. St George's Market is a vibrant, lively spot that encapsulates the spirit of Belfast. It's a place where every visit guarantees new discoveries and where every purchase feels like a piece of the city's rich tapestry. For anyone visiting Belfast, this market is an unmissable destination, offering an experience that's as enriching as it is enjoyable.

Excellent vibey market, delicious food stands, a huge array of different market stands from homemade stone artwork, pet accessories, giant artworks, fresh produce (huge vegetables) and a fish market, metal work, handbags, clothing and gift items you can personalise on site. Well worth a visit.

It's a market selling different types of products. You can find fresh food, cooked food, groceries, decorations, clothes and bags. I like the art items there. There is an area having tables. A lot of people enjoy the food there.

Fantastic market located in the heart of Belfast, hosting all things food and craft. What a wonderful place to walk around on a Saturday morning and take in all the smells and colours and noises. The place is full of history too and the building, though updated to cope with modern demand, clearly shows this. If your on a trip to Belfast for a holiday it's certainly worth popping in nice and early to set your day up right and fill your belly. I am sure there is a limit to how many people are allowed in at one time at the minute, but be prepared for it to be busy!!!!

The market is only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday but if it is open when you are there it is a great place to visit. The fresh produce is cool to walk around and there are also a great amount of small craft shops that would provide great souvenirs and some good food stalls that provide delicious food for lunch or a snack.

I had a brilliant few days in Northern Ireland and visiting St George's Market in Belfast on a Friday was a real highlight. It was really busy, there were so many stalls to visit. Plenty characters to chat with, it was a great experience. I am not surprised my friends come here every week. I liked the fresh fruit and veg also the choice of cheeses. I certainly recommend you visit if you are in the area.

Such a variety of options! Fresh produce and fish to take home. Ready made foods to eat there, such as crepes and sandwiches. Great stand with olives and spreads. Fun stalls to pick up gifts. Good crowd without feeling crowded.

This is a good weekend market in Belfast. Opens Thursday to Sunday and have lot of stalls within the market. Lot of local vendors selling variety of goods like bags, ornaments, paintings, clothing, antiques etc. There are a lot of stalls for food and beverages as well which has a good variety of dishes. Usually closes by 3-3.30 PM so better to go during morning times to enjoy the market.

What an amazing place to visit. The range of stores on offer selling a plethora of items made the experience unique. Food options were very good and well priced. We went over two days and the Sunday seemed busier of the two. Definitely worth a visit.
