This park is like camping at the beach ON the beach! You are right at the water's edge. It is my favorite park. 93% of the sites have NO trees. Most floods have killed the trees. The 5-6 camp sites away from the waterfront have plenty of oak trees. The restroom is generally clean. Lately there are no on site park hosts which mean if you run out of TP or there is a "mishap" in the bathroom...you clean it, ignore it, tolerate it or wait til the clean-up crew come in on their designated day. Not a good situation. The COE no longer have park hosts at this park (only a paid gate attendant). It's really a sad situation. I've been coming to this small park for decades and now in the evenings I feel somewhat abandoned since there are no COE "staff" there to assist and oversee things in the park. The park is still beautiful! I'm just worried what will happen to the park since it's not under watchful eyes.

This was an absolutely beautiful spot on the lake. Very quiet. Very peaceful. We had the perfect spot on the upper lot right under a beautiful tree. We even got to see lightening bugs for the first time! The only downfall was a boil order for water was in place for the city and we only knew about it through finding a news article. Nothing was posted at the camp or no notifications. Being from out of town had we not known about the ban from an article we happened across we would have not been complying and using the water there at the camp.

Not a lot of space between campsites but, each site has great Lake views. Very small campground with a beach. Quiet and serene.

We happend upon this park when looking for a place to camp this Memorial Day weekend. This weekend is our first time here and we are in LOVE. The park itself is gorgeous, well planned, and very well kept. The bathrooms are cleaned everyday it seems; there is lots of activity, but minimal noise. The swimming area and boat ramp are near the RV sites which is nice, and there's an adorable playground next to the swim area. We will absolutely be staying here again, it's definitely a hidden gem!

Nice place to go camping. The water is so beautiful. Campsites are nice. Sadly ours was not cut before we got there. Only other issues were not the parks fault. Just another fool in the world treating women like you know what. Well I should say non Anglo women. Disgusting. Anyways I'll be back again, hopefully that guy won't be there. Lol. It's very peaceful.. ps.. bring strong sunscreen.

Pretty well kept. Extreme incline to get out of park. Water very low. Park was nice & quiet. Host Adam was pleasant. Theft occurred while I was there. A representative from the park called after i left to see if I observed anything suspicious . Awful dark in park. Restroom/shower exceptionally clean and hot showers. A nice change of pace.

We were passing thru and got lucky with this place. It has 30/50 Amp electric and water. (Really good water pressure) we stay at site #5. It was less than 50 feet from the water and had prime amenities. Definitely a place I would like to come back to and spend more time.

Beautiful park, beautiful Bluebonnets. Park host was extremely nice. Just one question. While I was there a camper in another spot was flying the confederate flag. Is this legal on federal property?

Great selection and very competitive prices! The automotive cleaning supplies work great for vinyl roofs also. I use the "purple stuff" on my restaurant roof and as you can see, years of crud are gone!

Went to camp and we had a great time. Park host is amazing and the bathroom is always super clean. If you have the national parks pass use it and they give you 50% off.
