If you want to see giant flesh-eating alligators, you've come to the right place. Park near the circle of picnic tables and walk up to the walkway on the ridge. If it's anything like today was, you might see 5 to 10 alligators swimming stealthly around in the channel or just off the bank with their snouts poking out of the water. Feels like a safe distance with nice viewpoints to walk out on high above the channel.

Heading north on 715 on the east side of Lake Okeechobee, this little rest area is a great stop. Lots of picnic tables, grills, playground for the kids, restrooms and you can, also, stop here to put your boat in the water for a little fishing. I'm here on a Saturday morning at 11am and only 4 of the many picnic areas in use. Need a break while cruising around the lake, this is the place!

Very calm, still open not too many people. I saw a big aligator, be aware when you fish with kids is a boat ramp very wide and deep into the water.

Great park for amazing picnic and play time. Children play area has enough to keep the little ones busy and entertained. Water view to lake Okeechobee was great. Restrooms were decent.

We used the bathrooms here and the boat ramp. The ramp is at a steep incline but not to hard to use, and the bathrooms were clean.
