This is a large park with a diverse offering of activities. There are lots of places to walk around, play sports, ride bikes, and even wake board. My dog loves it here, and we always have a good time. It's also feels very safe and other park users are friendly.

Dog friendly trails. Love revisiting this place with good friends. My friend enjoyed taking pictures with her canon. Athena(my dog) enjoys running loose in the trails of the south part of Okeeheelee. Enjoyed wine during 4th of July with other friends on the dock to get dogs away from the noise. Be careful! In the evening venomous snakes(water moccasin possibly) did start swimming parallel to the dock. We left as soon as we saw one and someone else spotted another.

I love the nature trails and nature center, especially for early morning/sunset walks. But BEWARE, as with all bodies of water in Florida, there are GATORS in the water. I attached a picture of a gator in the Shark Wake park waters where kids play all the time

Okeeheelee is a large, beautiful public park. There are plenty of long and short hiking trails, many of which are partly shaded by tree canopies. Other activities to be enjoyed here include fishing, picnicking, horseback riding, cycling, BMX racing, and water sports such as kayaking, water skiing, and jet skis. The park is kid and pet friendly, much of it is wheelchair accessible, and there's no fee for admission.

Great park for a lovely Saturday. It has a nice little nature center with lots of animals you can see up close . The nature center is only open Wednesday Thursday Friday and Saturday so try to visit on those days if you want to go in the nature center. This place has way more than the nature center though. It has lots of trails too And for the birders ; there are lots of bird houses and bird feeders . All in all it’s a great place for nature.

Such a beautiful and upkept park. If you can think of a parking amenity this place has it from a nature center, fishing docks, water park, kayak/bike rentals, playgrounds, game fields and miles upon miles of trails! I couldn't be more happy to have this park nearby!

This park is an absolute gem. I grew up playing baseball and soccer at the sports fields. They also have a waterpark, dog park, disc golf course, golf course and numerous amounts of playgrounds for the children. Don’t miss out.

Lovely nature walking and biking trails. Easy, flat and well maintained. Plan water and snacks in the heat. Lots of water birds. Caught a nice picture of a sun snake bathing.

Perfect place for a great family outing. The walking/ biking path is extensive and won’t let you get bored of the route too soon. The play areas are not modest and will entertain the children. I did see a water ski lake with ramp and many other amenities that I personally didn’t utilize. All in all, this is not a one and done park. You can get a new experience each time you visit for a while.

This HUGE park has everything you can imagine. Great place to have a picnic, ride a bike, spend time with the family, go for a long walk along the lakes, watch some water-skiing or play baseball.

I had a great experience here. I came on a Sunday, and most of the pavilions were filled. We ended up finding one, but the charcoal grill was filled with water 😞. My grandpa was a fire fighter and was handy enough to think of using a stick to empty the water and using a towel that he always had laying around to dry it. As you can see, we ended up making some delicious food πŸ˜‹. The people next to us had a birthday party and had soccer goals that were about half my height. Great memories 😊

Didn’t expect the sand! Lots of playground equipment options for all sizes of children. Big enough where kids aren’t overcrowding each other. Beautiful fields and tons of activities

Busy park with lots of room to stretch. Nature center is full of animals and exhibits. Trails are nice to walk . Some paved. Some not. Both easy . Keep your eyes up in the sky for ospreys and hawks. There is also an area where deer are fed , you can watch them feeding if your lucky.

Beautiful, big park, lots to see and do! Walking/cycling paths, playgrounds, picnic areas, athletic fields including soccer and baseball, boat ramps, a water park and golf course. Entry is free, except some activities like the golfing and waterpark may require pay for admission.

Great trails for walking, and biking. There is a great nature center that offers different low cost educational programs for homeschoolers/families. Just check there hours before you go. There is also a decent playground and a good size dog park.

One fantastic place to go. We even ran into a gopher tortoise. I highly recommend that you put this on your stops. They have a falcon a eagle in other such brilliant wildlife. Check the times for availability. Allow 2 hours to walk the park. Great place to hang out and do lunch. The raccoons do not mind your leftovers.

In general this park is amazing, you can do many outdoor activities, such as sports and family outdoor parties. You can feel it's nature with beautiful trees, lakes, you can breath the fresh air, while you ride a bike, or workout in the outdoors gym, or you can walk all over the park, you can play pickeball, etc... The picnic area have nice cook grills and the park is very friendly with pets. The pooch dog park is inside the Okeheele park which is awesome.

Awesome park with a lot of nature. A great place to walk, ride bike, or just drive in. Has a park for young kids to play with seating for parents. They have many things to do at this beautiful park. Beware they do have rattle snakes, so keep your eyes out. It's nature after all.

It’s a huge park with all kids of water sports on one side but f the road and the other side are s for horse enthusiasts. Free parking, a lot f places to sit in the shade. Some picnic tables under cover and not. Bring your own shade just in case. Fishing for peacock bass is a test but they are here in abundance and have an fry sizes. You can rent Kiyacks, jet skis and boat launch areas as well. Bathrooms are decent but not enough of them.

I did the obstacle course. It was fun, probably more for kids but it was fun sliding down the slides. It was definitely a workout 🀣

We were there for a baseball tournament and did not see all of the park. The baseball concession was excellent as well as seating and lighting. Kids has so much fun, Dads helped out with preparing the fields after a rain delay.
