Why are you not in Dallas?? I had so much fun here!! Sunday they have all day happy hour and it's $5 per person for the karaoke. We came without a reservation and we were giving a room quickly and given a break down of menu and how to work the tablet. A server did come in to being water and take our order. The sangria sake ($5 on hh) is delicious and will loosen you up to sing your heart out. The room sizes varies based on your party number, and since it was 2 of us, we had a smaller room with a love seat in it. They do give you little microphone disposable covers, the thought behind the cleanliness is much appreciated in these days. We only were supposed to be there an hour, but we had so much fun we extended it an extra hour and a half! There are camera in the room to watch for damage, but it was a little eerie when you are singing and dancing to think someone could be watching you. I really enjoyed myself and will return when we are in town.

Great for medium sized groups to have a personalized and intimate karaoke experience. Our group of 12 had a great time. The staff are super friendly, the technology works well, and the ambience is great.

I got taken here as a surprise, and my goodness it was so fun. I'm a weeb, so seeing all the anime related music was awesome, and they have a huge selection of English songs too! (And songs in just about every language). The drinks were delicious and really get you going, not to mention they were very reasonably priced for a karaoke place. I will say that it is quite cold in the rooms, so be sure to bring a jacket!

This place is such an amazing idea and concept I had a great time doing karaoke. The room was clean and comfortable. The snacks they have are delicious and the drinks were tasty. The song selection is extensive and I would love to go back and sing some more soon. Definitely recommending this place to friends and will be doing it again in the future.

This place is amazing! We had so much fun singing and dancing. We were in the room that had frosted glass by the street but you could unfrost the glass and broadcast your karaoke to the street! In addition, yummy drinks and appetizers. Definitely going back.

Rock Box is so fun! We had a large room reservation, that we reserved a couple of weeks ahead of time. The pricing is reasonable and the karaoke has a lot of songs to offer, great sound system, and friendly user interface! I will definitely be going back! Our waitress was extremely nice too. :-)

This place had so much potential based on the reviews and pictures. First off, my group was seated in the wrong room. It’s fine but then the guy tells us not to do anything stupid because we’re on camera. They sat us in the room we were actually supposed to be in and got our drinks as slow as humanly possibly. Took about 40 minutes for the first round of drinks and the server does not come when you hit the ‘request drinks’ button. Since there’s a bar outside of the rooms, I grabbed a few drinks for friends there. Our server didn’t like that and she cut me off when I asked for a third drink. To my server…if you’re mad I got drinks at the bar, have better service, take more drink orders and you’ll make more money! If you like being babysat at karaoke, watched like a dog and being told you can only have 1 drink every +60 minutes when you come in sober, by all means go here. The music is fun but we there are so many other places, I won’t be back!

My friend invited me to her birthday party, and I was thrilled to accept the invitation! The celebration took place at a Japanese-style karaoke club with a fantastic combination of food, drinks, and singing. What made it even better was that it was an all-Sunday happy hour. To ensure we got a spot, we made a reservation in advance, as this place tends to get quite busy on weekends. Fortunately, we found plenty of free parking nearby in downtown Seattle, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The disadvantage is there are not a lot of food to choose however at least there are snacks to eat haha! Another one, I’m confused for the hallway after the women’s bathroom, I’m lost a bit hehe. Still, we had an amazing time and truly relished her short celebration! Well, you should try if you love Karaoke!

I love Rock Box! Their sound system and interface is great. The rooms are cozy and clean. They added a feature to pull additional vids from YouTube, so if you're like me and listen to a lot of alternative, you're able to find what you want. The only teeny, tiny critique is that I wish there were a couple more food options. What they do have is tasty though!

  • 4/5 sunshine4nd r. 2 years ago on Google
Sound system was great, song selection was pretty limited for a place dedicated to karaoke though. Multiple searches turned up no results. Ok if you just want to sing karaoke classics. Probably better with a larger group but if you have a small group they will set you up in a room about the size of a closet.

Such a fun place! No mic for singing but the acoustics are phenomenal and I would say you don't even need a mic haha. Food is delicious and affordable and I highly recommend going here! I do wish they had family night so I could bring my kids along though. A total blast!

Good song selection and their drinks are also very well made! We enjoyed everything that we ordered. It's nice to have a private room for our group as well. We will definitely come back.

I had a bad experience at this karaoke, and their customer service needs improvements. I went there on Saturday to enjoy a karaoke session, they were fully booked at the time I wanted so I booked for the next day. They took my CC details, name, and my boyfriends phone number since I don’t live in the US and I didn’t have an US number. Next day when I arrived with him, they asked for ID at the entrance, I provided them with my UK driving license and also my national ID card. They didn’t allow me inside, saying they couldn’t accept this document because of the Washington law… I was not even going to buy alcohol, and I’m over 30, clearly they could see on my ID my age. The whole situation was really frustrating, also they deny me entrance in front of a big crowd that was getting ready to go inside, they made me feel really embarrassed. I have work in customer service, and I would deal with the situation better, like maybe trying to not embarrassed the person in front of other people, and maybe make amends and offer them to rebook for another day. Definitely, I won’t come again. They ruined my evening and honestly, now reading the reviews, you guys should advertise this information in your website, to avoid disappointments and not waste people’s time.

Rock Box was great! Went there with a group of 6 and there is a huge selection of songs not just in English but many other languages like Mandarin, Korean, Japanese...etc! We had a faulty system to start but it was fixed by the staff shortly after. Will definitely come back here due to the great price!

I called on over the weekend to try and reserve a room on Sunday. We were traveling into town and I was worried about making 6pm. They made an exception for me this time, but normally they charge. We stayed an extra hour and had a blast! Service from Tommy was phenomenal and we absolutely loved the selections. We will be back!

Fun private room karaoke location! Our large group was split between two rooms, but we were able to move between them throughout the night. They have a bar at the front, but I think you can also order drinks/snacks right to the room.

I've been to Rock Box twice now with 6+ people. It's a great spot for friends to go karaoke. We always have a blast, and we will continue to go back! I haven't really had the food there since we often go after dinner, but from what I've heard, it's pretty good.

I recently organized a company event at this karaoke spot, and it was a blast! The staff was super accommodating, and the extensive song selection and top-notch sound system made for a great time. Our team had an unforgettable bonding experience. Highly recommended for group events or a fun night out!

  • 4/5 Laura B. 1 year ago on Google
Very fun Japanese style box karaoke. Not the hugest selection of songs but pretty decent, and you can hook up YouTube for things that aren't in the song catalogue. Beverages are expensive but tasty.

  • 5/5 Amy N. 4 years ago on Google
My choice of karaoke place in the Seattle area! Big song selection, decent drinks, easy to use karaoke system (although some songs have very old looking videos). Also service is always good, although a bit awkward when you're belting out songs with your friends.

Had a blast with fam and ended up singing with other people, too! Thanks, Sean, for taking care of us!

  • 3/5 Duncan G. 2 years ago on Google
First karaoke experience. It was a great time. Old karaoke software from the early 2000s, somewhat limited selection of music, kinda more expensive than I would have thought. It's an alright place where it's easy to have a great time, because of friends and singing, not necessarily because of the venue.

  • 5/5 Dany B. 2 years ago on Google
You want to have a good time with friends, co-workers, your S.O. or your date, then this is the place. It doesn't matter whether you sign like a freaking rockstar or not, you'll have a great time and you'll probably feel like one. The service is good. Very easy to reserve and friendly. The lighting inside is amazing with shades of blue, pink, purple, etc The drink menu is not huge but does the trick. Highly recommended.

  • 5/5 Amelia K. 7 months ago on Google
Happy hour drinks are very reasonably priced, but even past happy hour they’re not bad. Rooms are a great size and white soundproof. Overall a great time!

  • 5/5 Nhan H. 9 months ago on Google
We an amazing experience! We showed up like 10mins early but they were sweet and showed us our room right away. The room was just a little small. But the sound system and youtube system is great, tbh I feel like other karaoke are missing out if they don’t offer youtube nowadays! We didn’t order any food or drink. There was an 18% gratuity added automatically to the bill but they were nice so it was okay with us.

  • 5/5 Ryan C. 2 years ago on Google
Love the Rock Box! Such a great way to do karaoke. You can sing many more songs with a small group. The food and drinks are good too. Happy hour is when we usually go.

  • 5/5 Tori A. 1 year ago on Google
I love this place. Getting in on Friday/Saturday can be near impossible, be sure to reserve ahead of time by a few days at least if you want a weekend slot. Only gripe I have is never getting a call back, even when on the waitlist. I've made maybe 10 waitlist reservations (while asking to be bumped up if an earlier slot is available) and only ever gotten a single call back, even though on other occasions my friends were able to get slots earlier after I had called and reserved. They get very slammed so I'd attribute that issue to how busy they are. Drinks are decently priced and taste good. Be aware the 2 and 4 person rooms are very cramped so hopefully you're very buddy buddy with your friends! The crampedness can cause microphone feedback too, but it's avoidable. Even with the issues this is easily one of the best Japanese-style karaoke places I've ever been to. And all around, it's very affordable! Highly recommended!! Song selection is unbeatable with the addition of YouTube searching now on the table :)

  • 5/5 Carla B. 1 year ago on Google
I don't go here regularly per se, but I have been here a handful of times over the past decade or so and I have had a blast each and every time. It's well run, the staff is fun & attentive, and it's a great way to go out and also be with people you know, if you're someone like me who spends my days with people who have compromised immune systems. I know boring but true. :)

  • 5/5 Deniz T. 2 years ago on Google
Hosted a birthday party here in a private room and it was an awesome experience. They had comfy seats, two mics and an immense selection of music. We brought a cake and they serve nice drinks and snacks. I would highly recommend for a fun gathering as we are returning to social life!

  • 5/5 Emma R. 1 year ago on Google
This place is expensive, but really fun. Three hours with a room for four people and maybe 2 drinks top plus a shared snack was 400+ dollars. That being said, the service is prompt, the rooms are nice and clean, and they have fun drinks. Their snack food options leave things to be desired, so make sure to grab some food first. You can also lookup songs on YouTube which gives you alot more options.

  • 5/5 Devina G. 2 years ago on Google
Rock Box is always a lot of fun! It's nice to be able to sing as awfully as you'd like with only your friends to judge you. You can order drinks and snacks if you want, or just come to sing.

  • 5/5 Rachel O. 1 year ago on Google
Rock Box is a stellar private karaoke place. The music selection was excellent, and the system was easy for my first-timer friends to navigate. The six-person room was small but comfortable for four of us. We loved the sake sangrias, guacamame, and yukari pop. Be sure to remember the 18% gratuity! Our server highlighted it, but after two sangrias, I definitely missed it.

  • 4/5 Francis G. 2 years ago on Google
Love the ambiance, and the drinks are strong and not watered down. They use Healsonic, and I was actually able to get it working with my phone after some help from the staff. You can download the app ahead of time and set up an account, search their song lists, and even favorite songs to get started much faster. Minus one star because I feel like in general they didn’t have a lot of newer songs :( they do have an okay selection of Chinese and Japanese songs, but no Korean.

  • 5/5 Brianna B. 1 year ago on Google
Managed to fit us in last minute! Pretty intuitive controls with the ability to link up to YouTube for songs not on the actual set list. A lot of vocal options that we just did not try because we were too busy screeching away but it's cool that they were available lol.

  • 5/5 TheLondonMarwood 1 year ago on Google
Just the best. Great song list, private rooms with plenty of control over the music and mic volume. Makes it such a good place to learn new song or hang out with friends.

  • 5/5 Anthony P. 1 year ago on Google
Had a very enjoyable time. The software is intuitive. The room was comfy Ave clean. The service was prompt and surprisingly affordable. Would definitely come again.

  • 5/5 A F. 1 year ago on Google
We rented the large room for a group party. They say it fits up to 40, that would be tight. We had about 16 and it was comfortable to not be crammed in. We had a blast. No one from our group had been before but we would return.

Went to Rockbox to celebrate my partners birthday with her parents and a couple friends, and it was such a great time! Her parents came in from out of town, and they thought it was an absolute blast. Everything from the scheduling process, all the way to the wonderful experience we had was perfect. It made for a great night! We will for sure be back!

Rock Box is one of the few Japanese style kareoke places in Seattle where you can have privacy with friends, girlfriends or others. The food reflects this too with Asian snacks. The drinks are good and of various types. It's just a great place to go.

  • 5/5 Sami M. 1 year ago on Google
Over the past decade or so, RockBox has consistently delivered an incredibly joyful activity for a group of friends, large or small. The private rooms to sing with just people you know personally are incredibly. They offer quick bites (my favorite being the guacamame) & a full drink menu. Well worth the reservation prices, to make new memories with those you love. Will definitely return.

This place is a ton of fun. Individual rooms for doing karaoke, which means you need to come with a large enough group to make the cost work it (~8 people). They have a large selection of songs, and in multiple languages (can do Japanese, Korean, etc.). You also get a server for ordering drinks and light food.

  • 4/5 K M. 4 years ago on Google
Pricing is a bit high for what you get. Private rooms & drinks are more expensive because there is a monopoly on karaoke options in the city. If you call ahead and reserve it will save you a ton of time later. Great for groups!

Great time!! This was my first time with private room karaoke. Excellent choice for work event or group party. We did a work happy hour with 10 people. Our room was for 12 and super small. With 10, 1 person had to stand. I would suggest going with a larger room if your party is close to that in size. Booking was easy, drinks were great, service was great. I would give it 5 stars if the room was a little bigger and they had a larger snack selection. My throat and cheeks hurt from laughing and smiling so much. A great night and highly recommend. Looking forward to our next outing!

  • 5/5 Angela C. 4 years ago on Google
Had so much fun here! I'm going back twice this upcoming weekend. Their happy hour pricing makes it a fun and affordable place to go to and just unwind with friends for a couple of hours. Also the sake sangria is one of the best drinks I've ever had. Highly recommend!

  • 5/5 paris c. 4 years ago on Google

Always a fun experience with friends and coworkers. It’s really an ideal setup with private rooms that accommodate various sized groups from 2 up to 30+. I recommend calling few days ahead to reserve a room. It gets very busy which speaks to its popularity. Highly recommend visiting during happy hour.

Great private rooms, but the service is terrible and rude. They automatically include an 18% service charge, so they have no incentive to improve the service either.
