Pure Fairhaven charm. This place has fantastic food and oozes with character. A definite must-go to if you’re in the area. For breakfast, you cannot go wrong with their Monte Christo. Today I tried the crab cake Eggs Benedict and it was amazing. You also don’t want to miss their banana bread!! Their lunch and dinners are also very good including their award winning chowder.

We had Eggs Benedict and Crab Cake Benedict for breakfast with avocado and tomato. Each element was extremely well done, but as complete dishes both failed. Sadly, the tomato and avocado seemed to have been taken directly from the refrigerator and placed under the poached eggs. There is a good reason cold eggs Benedict are not a thing... it's not pleasant. Additionally, the plates were not heated, further contributing to a cold dish. Flavor was excellent on everything though. If not for the cold temperature it would have been one of the best eggs Benedict we've had. Service was mediocre, our waitress seemed new. Ambiance was great as always with Skylarks.

We've frequented Skylark's a few times now, it's a Bellingham favorite of ours. Both breakfast and lunch options are great! All the food has been fantastic! The sandwiches and burgers are a great choice for lunch and the French toast and biscuits and gravy are nice for breakfast. The service has also been first-rate each time, even when busy. Great location!

The waiter was amazing, and I hope he finds employment elsewhere. We waited an hour for two sandwiches. I ate half my sandwich, and realized there was a hair in my food. I realized pretty quickly wasn't mine (too short and too dark). I told the waiter, and he offered to have the food remade. I agreed. He brought back a very small plate a small sandwich and less fries. There was no compensation and no apology. I get the impression they thought I was scamming them. I did not feel welcome, and I will not be going back. Note: I came to this restaurant one year ago and had a great experience. I'm not sure whether management changed or the chefs... but please note that most of the negative feedback is recent.

New chef new menu! Dinner was amazing. The steak was tender and cooked to perfection. The chicken was moist and full of flavor. The cocktails are prepared with fresh herbs and fruit, best in town. Our server/ bartender was attentive and very sweet. We had a wonderful time.

The music by JP Falcon Grady & Band on a Saturday evening was terrific! 5 Stars for the music! The food unfortunately left a bit to be desired. My burger was over cooked, the fish and chips were meh. We were hoping for more. Don’t get me wrong, the vibe was perfect, the bartender was excellent, the live music as stated previously was terrific, just next time we’ll grab drinks and most likely eat elsewhere. It’s too bad, we were really hoping for more and we know Skylarks can produce better, they just need to “want” to stand out from the many other really good restaurants in town, but it seems they are satisfied in staying in the middle, unfortunate.

Can't say enough good things! The Brussel Sprout are a must-try and clam chowder definitely lives up to its reputation, THE BEST in the county! The drinks were also fantastic!

For the price I was was very dissatisfied with the egg over done no runnyness to incorporate with the thick bread. Service was wonderful but not worth the meal or price. Potato’s over cooked seemed like day old taste.

Old school saloon vibes with the huge wood cabinetry installation behind the bar and faux punched tin ceiling. We had breakfast here and enjoyed it immensely. The bartender was waiting on the tables inside and had a fun, friendly demeanor. The Carnitas bowl and Banana bread french toast were absolutely amazing. Good flavors. My daughter could only finish half of the french toast, it was so rich. The Carnitas bowl was just right. Apparently this is THE place to bring your parents if you are a Western student. (It is definitely spendy... we spent $48 on breakfast for two, only one coffee, no other drinks)

Biscuits was hard and dry Gravy was way too salty and just bad Eggs were okay but everything was cold Super disappointed Used to have such good biscuits and gravy Whoever was cooking on Thurs 9/22 needs some more quality control *Edited to reply to management's comment: I was in no way compensated for this. I didn't pay for it but that's not being compensated. Please just address these issues Looking at your reviews, cold food is a common problem. Y'all could fix that.

Food was not great. Server (Heather) was way overworked. She moved fast and tried to stay upbeat but she had no help for a large area. Even changing propane tanks in between waiting and bussing 15 tables. Really!! Portions were generous. Wish they tasted better! Mimosa flight was 4 full mimosas for $18 which is a great deal. We liked 3 of 4. Heaters kept outdoors nice and toasty. Lots of sweet, creative drink options.

Only giving 3 stars because most of our drinks, brussel sprouts and our waitress were great. The food however was just awful. My friend ordered a bowl of beef stew and received a cup of it not a bowl, so when we got that corrected the bowl she was brought had NO beef in it My sandwich was so bland I couldn’t eat it. Oh and the bartender was new & in training on a SATURDAY night and couldn’t make good drinks, she made one that was terrible and our waitress had to go back and make it (she did awesome). Next time I will go just for drinks and maybe an app!

The food was really good. The chef is top notch. One of the better brunches I've had in town. The service was terrible. It seems like the staff is untrained and the roles are all blended. The hostess was delivering water, the waitress was bussing tables and acting as a bar tender, the bus boy was looking very busy walking around, the manager was delivering coffee, and the bar tender was waiting tables. I would suggest that they are short staffed, but they weren't. Everyone that they needed was there. They simply had no leadership, no organization, no efficiency. We waited for 30 minutes before the food came out. I had to ask for coffee twice. I had to ask for the check twice, and I had to ask to pay the bill a few times. I know it was Mother's day and a little busy, but there were only a few full tables and the staff had lots of time for chit chat around the bar. The cafe atmosphere was nice, but a little noisy. The cafe and bar were decorated well with Mother's day themes. You could tell that a lot of thought went into it.

Before last week, the last time I was here was in early March. It didn't disappoint. In March I enjoyed the fireplace in the main dining room with the breakfast menu, and a couple of weeks ago, I enjoyed a view of the alley shops across the side street. This time was also with the breakfast menu. I'll definitely be back for breakfast / brunch often. Also - the Bloody Mary is phenomenal, as is the flight of mimosas.

Solid diner. We came in on a late Monday morning after a weekend of camping at Larabee, so some greasy brunch food was just what we needed. I wouldn’t say it was greasy actually, but it was delicious. Fresh food and great service. Mediocre coffee. But the pancakes were what really had me in love. The blueberry pancake was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. I devoured it too quickly to bother with a picture
