I love coming to Leaf & Ladle. I will drive up from Seattle to get their food for lunch. Last weekend, I picked up a Caesar chicken wrap and enjoyed it at the park. Their soups, sandwiches, and other wraps keep me coming back. Everything is fresh, made to order, and delicious.

Whenever I want to feel like I am putting absolute *health* into my body, I look to leaf and ladle. Their options, which are usually available as a salad or a wrap, are just jam packed with veggies and make you feel so good. While enjoying an absolutely tasty meal. They also have crunch wraps and they did have take home Crunchwrap kits for a while and they were absolutely amazing! I picked them up several times over the last year and they were always delicious and fun.

We got the vegan panini and BLT here for a take out here - was very impressed with all the vegan options! Both entrees were great - they were healthy and fresh. I wish I was able to try more of the menu. Would definitely go back!

Popped in here for a quick dinner while passing through Bellingham and it exceeded expectations. The food was fresh and delicious and made quickly. We got a turkey pesto panini which was excellent and a chicken curry wrap. Will definitely be back on our next trip in town.

Ok I may be over scoring the atmosphere, but this place is great. Iโ€™m one year into a whole food plant-based diet so limited what restaurants I can eat at. But these guys do a great job for vegans, and I can slip in under that category. I had the chorizo wrap. It was very flavorful. It was huge. And it came with a side salad. The people working in the store. All seemed happy to be there and knowledgeable.

What a perfect Spring Panini sandwich I just had here at Leaf & Ladle...a small downtown lunch and dinner restaurant with a wonderful variety of soups and sandwiches. With many fresh and local ingredients, meals are quickly prepared and substitutions are permitted. Owner/chef Linda is super-efficient and friendly (I'm new to the neighborhood and she generously imparted lots of good info). There's a bar in front and a separate dining section in back, a very clean restroom with a diaper changing table, and a visually-pleasing decor. There are also two outdoor tables -- perfect for our lovely summers. Vegan and gluten-free options; meat options, too. As the sign says, "food for everyone". I think I found my new favorite light-eating spot. Be back soon! =)

Leaf & Ladle is a laid-back experience with dine-in and takeout options available. Their menu is adaptable for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets, which is wonderful! The autumn vegetable sandwich is especially noteworthy, and another patron was swooning over the tomato soup. It might just be difficult to "go wrong" here! โ˜บ๏ธ

Delicious food, well prepared. Today I had the best black bean squash soup ever! Tiny place, relaxed atmosphere, a treasure, hole-in-the-wall.

They have gluten free and vegan options. Their vegan Caesar wrap was great. Service was a little curt and there was limited seating but the food was good enough for me to want to go back.

The place gives off an " at home" feeling. Not a ton of sitting so it wouldn't be ideal for a group that's 4+ people. The food is delicious!

I was visiting a friend in Bellingham and they recommended I try this restaurant for lunch. It is actually easy to miss from the outside. It is positioned between two shop fronts that also have quite a bit of personality, and is a small shop on its own. Once inside, it is very much a hipster diner. All the staff are my age, the menu has lots of vegan and vegetarian options and variations, so almost any dish can be altered to fit your dietary restrictions. I have some food allergies, and the staff were knowledgeable and accommodating. There were also homemade meals to go and locally sourced options for drinks or to go desserts. The main options are salads, wraps, and salads. The staff were also very friendly and patient with me. The food prep area is also at the front of the building, so you can see as staff prep and serve your food. I always find comfort in seeing the conditions my food is made, and this was some of the most transparent food prep Iโ€™ve seen. There was a dishwashing and refrigerator in the car back, but it was kept in another room. The store is longer than it is wide and built inside of a vintage storefront, so you walk in deeper past the counter and food prep area to get to dining. Staff also informed us that if we are over 21, you can even take your meals next door and sit at the neighboring bar and order drinks. We chose to sit inside the restaurant. It was very intimate and has modest decor. There was quite a lot of variety in the other customers- from families, to young adults hanging out, to elderly couples. The food is also VERY large. I ordered the BBQ pork wrap and it was HUGE. It honestly took work to finish it. Not a lot of places known for burritos even offer food that large. My friend ordered a salad and a few sides, but the salad was so large that it took up the entire 8.5โ€x11.5โ€ metal tray it came on and they couldnโ€™t finish it. I very much felt that I got my bang for my buck here. This restaurant is definitely a modern and hipster take on a local sandwich deli, and I would definitely recommend it if you need something quick and filling.

Best tomato basil soup I've ever had. A million bonus points for it being dairy and gluten free. Will return to collect all of the soups.

Excellent grilled cheese & tomato basil soup combo. Got the gluten free wrap & vegan cheese option. Haven't had a grilled cheese & tomato soup in years. While it wasn't quite the same as regular grilled cheese with bread, it hit the spot. The vegan cheese is like a spread with cheesy flavor more than cheese, and it's very satisfying. I'm not sure what exactly it is made of but my guess would be silken tofu, which is great because I tend to miss out on the protein content of regular cheese when I do dairy alternatives. The soup was very comforting and made me want to go home and make some from scratch. I love the texture of homemade tomato soup and this had that.

Great vegetarian and vegan options. Salads are a โ€œhealthyโ€ size and everything is so fresh, including the soups. The kale Caesar is one of the best Iโ€™ve had and the tempeh is amazing. Their menu has something for everyone, whether vegan, vegetarian, etc. A nice quick lunch stop after us Canadians shop at Trader Joes!
