Great park! Good for hiking, jogging, and spending time with family friends and furbabies of all ages. Lots of bench’s, picnic tables and permanent charcoal grille’s on the grounds available for public use on a first come first serve basis as well as several large swathes of grassy picnic area/ water access. Short hike around the park 1-2 hours depending on skill set etc.

Lake Padden is so beautiful in the fall. Great hike around the lake that is pretty long but is able to be done with a stroller. Highly recommend making the trip out if you haven't been.

We walked around the lake. It has a really nice wide path all the way around. I think it was around 3 miles. Plenty of parking, at least this time of year. I’m not sure how the parking situation is in the summer when it’s super busy. The bathrooms were open. There are 2 dog bag stations. I think they could use a couple more. The whole park is really clean. I didn’t see any litter at all which is nice. Everyone we encountered were friendly and polite. It is a very pleasant place to walk your dog and enjoy the water.

Beautiful and clean lake. The trees are lush and has nice hiking and jogging trails that run along the lake. Fishing is great. Also great because as soon as your done fishing you can golf 50 feet away. Love it!

My family of 4 really enjoyed our walk around Lake Padden, it took us about an hour. It’s a 2.6 mile loop around the lake. You can find more trail details on the AllTrails app under Lake Padden Singletrack. Well maintained trail with gorgeous views, there is several great fishing spots and benches to sit and rest all around the lake. Definitely recommend exploring Lake Padden Park when in the area.

One of our favorite parks in Bellingham. This park has something for everyone. A golf course, off leash dog park, softball/baseball fields, countless bbq/picnic tables, lake access, hiking trails, and tennis court to name a few! The park gets very busy on beautiful days but there are typically plenty of parking options. Check the postings as sometimes there can toxic algae that can make swimming/other water sports risky/dangerous.

Pretty lake with shade or sunny beaches. Parking area is nice size. Nice walking path, with quite a few dog walkers.

You can do so many things at this park. Hike, paddle, swim, run, field sports, BBQ, chill on the beach. It's a terrific park. And people appreciate it because there is no litter and dog owners pick up after their pets. A gem of the area, and our favorite recreational site.

A lovely place for a walk or run. Dogs are on leashes on the lake trail. Lots of other attractions and activities as well, including golf, tenus, basketball, fishing, sail boarding, kyaking and other non-motorized watercraft. This is a large park, completely encircling the lake after which it is named, with many activity areas for all ages and abilities.

Beautiful lake, but very small! Easy access with multiple parking lots and entrances. There's a boat launch available too (not really a lake for motor boats IMO - better to go to Samish). Public restrooms available; walking path around the lake and through the park; a swimming area; picnic tables with BBQ's; and multiple garbage bins near the parking lot for easy cleanup before getting to the car. Dogs welcome on leashes. Worth trying out. IMPORTANT NOTE: There are aquatic invasives to be mindful of, particularly if using any water craft, or water toys (eg noodles, soakers, etc) - proper cleaning after using the lake is a must!

Very very busy during the summer! Lovely place however I have been told not to swim here due to bacteria most of the year. I highly suggest it for a good 45-60 min walk around the lake. A few good uphill inclines, nothing too difficult for a stroller. Lovely park full of runners, swimmers, kayakers, paddle boarders, dog walkers, bikers and children playing. The view is lovely, and the birds are very relaxing to listen to. I walk here almost every day, and have never seen anyone smoking here which is wonderful. There's some good back paths if you really want to make a day of it, however, those are a lot less stroller friendly, and a lot more bikers that go through that part.

Love this park! 2.6 walking trail around the lake is perfect for an easy hike and for kids. Great for kayaking, and water play and tons of picnic tables and plenty of parking. A bit of wildlife makes it special.

We live in the area and walk around lake padden anytime of the year! Trails are well maintained, public facilities are in good shape and the off leash dog park is a great place to take our pup! It definitely gets pretty busy in the summer but is definitely one of our favorite places to go to be outdoors.

Very cool place. Beautiful day, nice people, funny ducks. Nice turn around for the boat launch and handicapped parking right there. Facilities were clean.

Great local park filled with walkers, runners, bikers, and even some on horses. Also good for kayaking, canoeing and other water activities. Main trail is a little more then 2 and a half miles long. Some slight ups and downs, but overall very easy. Great scenery, and clean bathrooms.

Too many dogs, yet the trails and trees and lake and rushing creek are lovely.
