Just bad. I meant to book a different hotel and accidentally booked this hotel. I can't say anything good about it. Old and dirty. Homeless people all over the property outside. Thankfully we only needed to be in our room for about 8 hrs. We were woken up by what sounded like several gunshots but we later saw it was a huge mortar style firework. 0 stars would be more appropriate.

They do not have multiple charging points and lack of working desk too. For business tourists it could be challenging as we can’t charge many gadgets at same time and you might need to sit on your bed for whole day to work on your laptop. Ample parking space. Rooms are spacious but toilet curtains are too smelly.

We’ve come to this hotel for many years (once a year) as we travel on summer vacation. It’s always been an affordable and clean accommodation. This however is no longer the case. The property is run down. Stinky elevator with a makeshift air freshener in it. There is a huge problem with drug using homeless people in the parking lot and neighboring street. As I’ve been told by the front desk that this is a problem in Bellingham that the police aren’t properly addressing. However when you have homeless people with toothbrushes coming in to use the lobby bathroom and other homeless people “shooting” up on your property don’t you think a private security officer is necessary to secure the premises? Or perhaps a perimeter fence to separate the public street area from the hotel parking lot. I know covid has probably been rough for local businesses and perhaps street folk… I will not visit this property again unless they can get a handle on this

This is one of the grossest, most disgusting hotel EVER! DO NOT stay here!! The picture's are so deceiving, the rooms are very dated. I don't know why online they show such nice, clean rooms as if it's renovated but the rooms are nothing like the pictures. The elevator is scary I thought it was going to break down on us, it was so dirty and dark, the lights were barely working. When we got to our room, it smelled, peeling wallpaper and the carpet wasn't vacuumed.. I felt so gross walking on the carpet with my bare feet . There are homeless people hanging outside in the parking lot, talking and yelling all night long... oh and the toilet... it's perfect if your 4' tall - otherwise it's uncomfortable. This hotel needs a lot of work - it's very disappointing that they would advertise their hotel with fake, deceiving pictures - because that is how we make a decision to book a room, by the pictures shown. This is my first time I have ever experienced something like this. I am so disgusted!! DON'T STAY HERE PPL ... SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

Front desk employee was super friendly. Room was very spacious and pretty clean. The heater didn't work though, so it was a cold morning. The jetted tub option was nothing fancy. The elevators stunk and really need cleaning. There are squatters/sketchy people all near the property.

Pool not working, dirty and disgusting throughout. Pictures of the hotel are very deceiving as were the management and staff. WARNING. Toilets are about 4 in. lower than a standard and felt like we were about to fall on the floor when we went to sit on the seat. Considering Covid, business down time and wanting to build business back to normal, your hotel should be disinfected, cleaned and repaired. This was the dirtiest hotel I have been in since the 70's, working in the oil industry. The mirrors and windows were full of streaks and carpets were dirty and stained. When checking the bed in the morning, we pulled down the covers to find what looked like a blood stain on the sheet. I wish I took pictures. I hope this message reaches the upper management of the Quality Inn and that these hotel issues are fixed.

Stayed there several months ago....was going to say maybe its gotten better but from recent reviews not much has changed. The place was disgusting! We were asked for an $50 additional deposit for any room damages that we might cause. We opened the door to the deck....cigarette butts, a broken chair and overall filth. Contacted front desk to alert them not caused by us and response "Oh yeah we know about that". Hair drier was gross, elevator looked like it had not been cleaned for a long time.

Rooms were dated Front desk was very nice. Our room smelled like it had previously been a smoking room. Mattresses were definitely on the older side, we could feel the springs. Breakfast came in to-go boxes in the lobby, it was okay. The worst part was that there were people casing cars in the parking lot. There were some definitely drug deals happening about a block down the street. I didn't feel safe leaving without my husband. Next time I'll pay the extra $50 for something with better reviews. I don't recommend staying here.

I like staying here when I come to Bellingham because you can get a king suite with a love seat sofa, mini fridge, microwave and a two person jetted jacuzzi tub for about $100 a night (in the winter time, at least)! It's not the most luxurious hotel in town but for the price its better than other comparable hotel. It's not the best neighborhood (lots of homeless campers and litter everywhere) but it is a pretty central location for exploring the area. The room is clean, the bed is not half bad and the staff is helpful. Just lock your vehicle and park it where you can see it from your room and you should be alright.

I've stayed at many Quality Inns over the years, so I have an idea of the level of quality / price point they're aiming for with this brand. This hotel in Bellingham fell short. Front desk staff weren't very friendly or responsive. Breakfast was didn't include any meat and the potatoes were boiled (and tasteless) not fried. The room, while clean, was really showing its age. No complaints about the outdoor pool, which was nice. For $167 for a Friday night, it was not a bargain.

This our 3rd time staying here since April. The rooms are always clean and the beds are comfortable. The front desk staff have been exemplary every time, even going out of their way to help when things went sideways with our latest trip. Our children live in Canada- having a safe comfortable place to stay when doing the pickup/ drop off routine is important and this hotel is now our preferred location.

Old good inn, nothing special about. The hot breakfast was simply put not good, served in plastic boxes, not tasty at all, scramble eggs, bacon, tost, and cut in pieces boil potatoes; the swimming pool did not work for three days of our stay ,and not expected to be fixed in the nearest future as per the front desk. The location is convenient, the receptionist is nice and caring.

We booked this hotel on price alone. Big mistake! The staff were all in old T-shirts and shorts, when they finally decided to appear and help us.. They were extremely unprofessional. The hotel was filthy. The carpets were grimy and very old. The elevator was so dirty we didn't want to even go in it. The room was dingy and dirty. The furniture was old and looked like it came from a Thrift store. The armchair had pulls and runs in the fabric. the bathroom was OK. The door frame by the bathroom light switch was worn down to bare wood and filthy. The bed was clean but very uncomfortable. We went out to the pool but would not dare to go in the water. It was filthy too and all the pool furniture was crusted with moldy algae. Do Not Stay There!

I booked the room....checked in...and immediately booked another hotel and left. The guy at the front desk was on his ohone and seemed like he could care less but, overall he was okay. I get the attitude given where he's working. The room however was insanely out dated, most things were broken. The walls looked as though they were oozing nicotine. I also found out I paid $100 more than normal because of a race that was in town? It was non refundable (unfortunately.) So I ended up spending another $300 to go to another hotel but it was worth it. I will say the bed seemed like the cleanest part of the room. Everything else was dirty and overall seemed like a place not good people hang out. Lots of homeless wondering the parking lot (sleeping directly outside our window....we were on the ground floor.) I didn't feel safe and definitely didn't feel like I could comfortable sleeping there. I was thankful I had the option to leave. I would have really not been hapoy if I had stayed.

Was very disappointed with the room we were assigned. Definitely not up to Choice Hotels standards. The room was very dated, there was a dude table missing beside the bed. The room could use a definite update. Staff was very friendly and willing to help. Would not stay here again.

I rarely leave a terrible review - there’s always SOMETHING positive to say about any place. Having said that, I’ll start with the positive: staff were nice, the bed was fine, plenty of hot water in the shower. The property is shabby, not clean, TIRED!!! In great need of an update! The SIGN reads, “Q unty In” and that’s your first impression. The elevator was very dim, for a reason - it was filthy! The room was pretty beat up and Spartan, but functional. Bring flip-flops to wear in the room. There is a very weird breakfast setup, which works like this: a person sits behind a table in the area where breakfast is usually laid out in a hotel, it’s dark, there is no food visible. She asks for your room number. Then, you get your choice of eggs, potatoes, and bacon, and dry white toast, delivered in a styrofoam box with a plastic spoon and fork tied in a napkin with a rubber band. I asked for some jelly or jam, no luck! The potatoes were gray, and that pretty much describes the rest of the food, too. The other breakfast option was a bag with water and a banana - THIS bag had salt, pepper, and a packet of jam. Go figure! I would think that a paper bowl and some basic cereal options would elevate the breakfast, but alas, no. And, no milk, either. Other notes: we had to ask for toilet paper, when we asked for lotion, they looked around and responded they were out, but had shampoo instead! These all are first-world problems, I know. However, if they advertise their amenities on their website (with pictures), there should be SOME shadow of recognition or familiarity with the actual reality. And, I’ve stayed in properties within the same hotel family in the same price range and geographic area, so this isn’t a case of paying for a two-star and expecting a five-star experience. This is a one and done for me. And, if after reading this review you still choose to stay here, you’ll likely find that to be the case for yourself. I don’t recommend this place until they’ve done a MAJOR update and cleaning!

I don't like that there are homeless people living right outside on the side street and lots of foot traffic throughout the night. However, the room was decent. The fact that there is a jetted bathtub for two in the king suites for around $100 is the only reason I stay there. They definitely need to do maintenance on the bathrooms though. One wall had water damage from above and obviously was rotting but for the price, what can you expect?

Stayed 2 nights passing through. Rooms were clean, didn't smell (like some comments left by others)beds were comfortable, shower was fine. We spoke to four different staff members over the 2 days and all were helpful. Breakfast was minimum but there were hot options too. Coffee was very good. For the price point, what more can you expect. I found thd hotel left all the doors open that leads outside made it cool at night but we just turned on the heat a bit. We'll definetely consider this hotel again if we pass through.

Great location. Close to shopping, restaurants, and the airport. The service was just fine as always. It's one of the few places around that will take a cash deposit which is nice when you need it. More places should be so flexible. The rooms are okay. Clean and functional. You can upgrade your room if ones available for only like 20 dollars. Most people don't realize it but that's a common amount for doing so in many hotels. The pools outdoors so closed for the winter of coarse but that's okay. The price is great! If you're looking for a decent hotel at a great price this is one of them. The one thing I would like to see and it's common with hotels now is the breakfast being more like it used to be. You know.. that good old fashioned hotel buffet style breakfast. Plenty of food to start your day off great. Waffles, fruit, biscuits and gravy, eggs, potatoes, toast, muffins, pastries, coffee, juice, milk, and tea. I've stayed at this place many times over the years and I used to love the breakfast. Now almost all hotels have grown used to the cheap and easy option of giving you a bag with some stuff you may or may not want. Come on hotel owners everywhere!!! (Not just this one.) Bring back the breakfast! Hell advertise how good it is! Stand out amongst all those lame breakfast places to reign as king! COVID is no longer an excuse for the lame breakfast people! We want our food back! LoL!!! *Stepping down from my soap box now.* Thank you! 😉

Stayed here for two nights during my trip to Bellingham and it was wonderful! The bedroom was clean, the staff was very friendly, the breakfast was hot and given to you in a container to take back to your room or the eating area. The location was amazing! An easy 10 minute drive into downtown basically with no turns, and a nice little sports bar a walk down the road with amazing food, drinks, and people!

The room was not bad. Clean ish. Sheets smelled like pee a bit. Bed was very firm. You had to pay more when you have more ppl in one room. Breakfast was one portion per guest and in to go container. It was simple but delicious. Customer service was great. Gym was simple.

Person at the front desk was very kind and attentive. Rooms were clean and spacious. The bed was somewhat uncomfortable - creaky and way too firm. And when housekeeping came the seemed to make only half of the bed (maybe because I left a book and a phone charger on one side and they didn't want to move them?). So the fitted sheet that had been pulled up wasn't put back correctly. I think they also accidentally put something heavy on the TV remote. When we came back to the hotel at night, it wasn't working and many of the buttons seemed stuck. It was under the sheets on the bed and I remembered leaving it on top of the bed. Overall would book again because it's inexpensive and clean, but not for more than one or two nights when I wasn't expecting to do more than sleep there.

Is the decor a look little dated? Maybe. Is the upholstery on the chairs a tad worn? Perhaps. But the BED! This is one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. I literally took a picture of the tag on both the mattress and the pillows AND sheets because it was heavenly. I prefer soft mattresses and the other person with me prefers hard mattresses and we BOTH agreed this bed was better than either of our beds at home. The pillows were the perfect combination of fluffy and firm and even the sheets were amazingly soft! Honestly I can live with chairs that are dated but functional and marginally comfortable with that kind of bed. Also plenty of conveniently placed plugs for all our technology (two laptops, an electric wheelchair, and two cell phones) Amenities even during covid were excellent. Hot breakfast each morning consisted of bacon, sausage and some sort of potato, along with toast, a banana, and a bottle of water. Eggs were a little dry but everything was hearty, which is amazing considering the good price for the hotel room. The room itself had a fridge, microwave, and a coffee pot which was very convenient for linger stays Everyone I saw, staff or guest, was masked, and there was plenty of space between me and the nearest room with a guest staying in it, so I hardly heard or really saw anyone except staff. One of our party is in a largish electric wheelchair and while it wasn't a 100% handicap room (no roll in or walk in shower) it did have a handheld shower head and the hotel staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a choice of shower chair (they had two different styles) and extra towels to make it as easy as possible to get in and out of the tub. For room layout, it was easy enough to roll/push the furniture (tables and chairs) around to make the floor plan a little more open for her wheelchair. Laundry facilities on site are a nice bonus, quarters only though, fyi.

I love coming here for my birthday and getting a room with the jet tub every year. Its well worth the money. The prices are great and the location is as well. The staff are extremely friendly and the rooms are clean. I've never had an issue with this hotel the multiple times I've stayed here. Always a lovely stay.
