We went on opening night. I've heard great things about their Mt. Vernon location, so I was looking forward to it. When we arrived, there were party lights, a wait to get in, and a definite vibe to this place. Great energy. The ambiance is beautiful, our server was friendly and helpful. The presentation on the shots and drinks we saw at other tables was cool. Our appetizer was a trip of dips: guacamole, mango pico, and bean dip. All tasty and refreshing. I really liked their salsa because it had flavor, spice, and zing. Usually places are either plain or spicy. You don't usually get the zing, so the lime juice comes through and balances the flavor and heat nicely. It's not overly anything. Loved it. Both of our meals were a little on the sweet side. I liked my mole enchiladas and the chocolate hit my nose as soon as it was set down. My partner didn't care for his asada camarones diabla due to the sweetness, but he said the steak was cooked perfectly. He loves whole beans and they could have been cooked just a little longer, but considering this was day 1 of being open at their Bellingham location, this is completely forgivable! We'll be back to try it again and would recommend trying COA Bellingham if you're in the mood for Mexican.

I love the COA in Mount Vernon so I was very excited to hear about a COA in Bellingham. The atmosphere is great, the plates are so cute, and the food is amazing!! Everything tastes fresh and my mojito was delicious.

Amazing food and friendly service. I’d loved going to their Mount Vernon location and I’m so glad they finally opened a restaurant up here. I had the Burrito Loco which was massive and delicious and smothered in various mole and other sauces. Their chips are also really good.

So delighted that COA has come to Bellingham. We are huge fans of their La Conner location and were delighted to find that the new Bellingham location is just as friendly, just as much fun to dine at, and just as delicious! The staff is extremely attentive and kind, the food is out of this world, and the location itself is bustling, exciting, comfortable, and well-appointed. We are already regulars!

Place opened a few weeks ago and we tried it for the first time tonight. Food was excellent. We had some delicious gauc and then split the 2-serving Molcajete dish and it was filling and excellently spiced. Only thing I didn’t like was the flan. The texture was wrong and they put chocolate and strawberry syrup on it which tasted like Hershey’s syrup. Would have preferred just the classic flavor. Other than that no complaints. Service was insanely fast, staff was excellent and I liked the atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

I was super excited to try this place since I’ve heard so many good reviews. But unfortunately I was served the worst chille relleno I have ever had in my life. The outside batter literally looked and tasted like dense scrambled eggs and topped with lettuce??? It was bright yellow and honestly tasted like a breakfast omelet instead of Mexican food.
