I came a few weeks ago for a cleaning and I was warmly greeted by the front desk aka Donna. She asked me how my day was and was super kind. Then i met my hygienist Julie for my cleaning. She was very thorough, explained what she was doing, and explained home care. Truly felt cared for. She helped me book my next cleaning as well. On the way out Michelle printed me a card with the date of my next appointment and chatted a little about our days. Overall my experience was wonderful. I felt cared for and educated!

Update.. loved this place until they began being shady about how much everything cost. I never once was told how much a tooth filling will be or how much a upgrade will be. Never got a courtesy call to tell me that I owe anything. Was told my insurance had enough to cover my tooth fillings but Michelle said everyone knows that insurance doesn't pay for the whole thing..well I didn't know. Every client should have the right to know how much everything will cost before they sit in that chair. I would love to hear the recording of our call when I ask about my insurance.. Beware this place will take advantage of you. Always ask for a pricing menu. Very disappointed. Will be looking for a new dentist.

After switching to seamar to Von Hanks dentistry, the work they did on my teeth was on a much higher level! Julie D particularly always does the best job cleaning my teeth, going super gently because I have sensitive teeth. She does an awesome job of informing the job being done to my teeth to explaining how to take proper care of my teeth. I love coming here, and know that I’ll always get the best possible care! I cannot be more grateful for the staff there!

Dr. Hanks is a great Dentist and I have been seeing him for a long time. Julie is the hygenist who cleans my teeth, and she is very friendly and takes special care to see to it that the patient is comfortable while she does the cleaning. I recommend this Dental office very much!

Excellent experience all around - from office staff, to hygienists, to Dr. Von Hanks. I had Julie D. as my hygienist and she always does a thorough job without any discomfort. I love how she explains what she's doing and the science behind it. Very attentive and thoughtful staff!

The staff at Dr. Von Hanks' office are really welcoming and capable. I particularly appreciate Julie D., my hygienist. She is very thorough, gentle, and "reads" a patient's comfort level well. This is the best customer service, kindness, and professionalism as well as reasonable prices that I have seen at a dental office before! I interacted with 6 of the staff and all were excellent! 5 hours of research was done online in the Bellingham area looking at reviews, comparing prices and phone interactions, before I chose this office after moving here. I am grateful that I did! Donna is personable and gives such a great first impression at the front. She really worked hard to get my appointments for a new visit as well as crown prep and setting all done before the end of the year. Gabby and Clarissa dental assistants were so kind and thorough with reviewing previous records and preparing the crowns. Gigi gave me the best teeth cleaning experience I have encountered. Michelle in billing was so easy to work with and followed up on billing processes. Dr. Von Hanks is compassionate and conservative in his approach, doing only the dental work that is necessary and is considerate of expense. He is skilled with crowns and easy to talk to. I was put on a cancellation list if there was an earlier appointment available and they followed through with calling me or texting regarding this. Each of these staff members made me feel important and they wanted my experience to be the best. They may be wearing jeans in their group office photo but don't let that fool you! The staff are professional at work in their dress as well as manner, they work together as a team, and they also treat you like family. Thank you! Charlayne O'Brien July 12, 2023 I had another great experience at Von Hanks Dentistry! I was on a wait list for teeth cleaning and Donna did not forget to call me with a cancellation. She is very organized and the office is well run. Most offices I have to keep calling to check on cancellations. 6 Days earlier made such a difference due to all the commitments I had at the end of the month. Julie D was the hygienist and she is excellent! Great personality, detail oriented and an educator. She carefully explained that fluoride was not a covered item through my insurance. I appreciated that I didn't receive the extra $29 charge with my cleaning and they gave me the choice. As usual Dr. Hanks is very personable and he performed a thorough exam and coordinated care well with Julie. I like how they worked as a team. I loved the Christian music in the background. This is the first time I have been looking forward to going to a dental office! Great people!

When my dentist Dr. Farrell retired, I was referred to Dr. Von Hanks. There are less than 10 people I trust, and him and his office are on that list. Great office staff (front desk / billing), clean office, professional hygienists, and a non-judgmental listening doctor who treats his patients and team respectfully. I had horrible dental care growing up, and he offers a professional opinion in the best interest of your oral health care and NOT his pocketbook. I'm very happy with them!
