The gear is top notch (best I've ever had the opportunity of using as a rental) and everyone is the perfect mix of professional and fun. I had the chance of diving with Josh the first day (big up to Josh, thanks for popping my Cape Town diving cherry) and Makayla the second day (big up as well for navigating the kelp forests like a pro). Special thanks to Megan, Dave and Jessie as well for making the surface time equally enjoyable. Couldn't have hoped for a better team to dive with. I will 100% be back soon!

My scuba buddy and I had great experience with Scuba Shack, which came to the rescue after another dive shop didn't have enough bookings to proceed with our originally-scheduled dive. We did our Scuba Shack dive with Megan, who was one of the best dive guides I've ever had -- very professional but friendly, and really helpful both prior to the dive in providing the pre-dive briefing and once we entered: she was critical in saving the second dive for me by fixing my mask underwater.

Not all heroes wear capes, some wear fins and an oxygen cylinder. Scuba Shack is where you will find these heroes. I grew up in Pretoria, kilometres away from any ocean. I then moved to Cape Town where I developed a love and passion for the ocean, mainly from boats and the sand. I was then gifted a diving course, this was probably the best gift I have ever received. I was introduced to the marvellous wonderland that lies beneath the water. My inner mermaid has been unleashed, and this is all thanks to Megan, Makayla and the staff at Scuba Shack. As you walk in, it feels like you are walking into your families home, they are so warm and welcoming- they manage to settle any nerves that may be lingering. They follow your lead and go at your pace, you never feel rushed or uncomfortable. Their safety standards are world class, you feel safe inside and outside of the water. Their attention to detail is impeccable, small things like a portable warm shower, snacks and small creature comforts goes a far way. I have since completed my course and have done a number of dives with them and each dive is better than the last. I feel like I have extended my family at Scuba Shack 5 stars is not enough stars. Thank you Scuba Shack for being my heroes and for inspiring me to keep exploring my new world.

Had a wonderful experience with Nick, Megan and divemaster Makayla the other day. We ended up doing a refresher course and a few wreck dives in the Atlantic, very impressed by how knowledgeable, friendly and safety-focused everyone was. Rental equipment is top-notch, as is the boat. Pre-dive communication was quick and professional. There was a lot of rescue/first aid experience on the boat with us, which is always a plus (even if it wasn’t needed). As a pair of casual divers we felt more than comfortable. The dives were amazing as well, great visibility and lots of interesting nudibranch, crab, small rays, shark, and more. Fabulous wrecks if that’s your thing. You can stop looking around for scuba outfits in Cape Town, just book with Scuba Shack, they’re pros.

Great people and great diving. Kelp forest, reefs and seals. Very safety oriented, environmentally conscientious and passionate about the dive. Super company, looking forward to diving with you again, hope the new shop is open soon and goes smooth. Thank you all for some excellent diving!

Amazing experience with two dives plus a night dive. Very friendly, fun and knowledgeable divers who took really good care of us. Can’t recommend more. Next time I’m in Cape Town I’m diving with them again.

It is an awesome experience to dive with the Scuba Shack Team. The whole crew is very professional before, during and after the dive. I felt super safe all the time and the equipment was very good. The selection of the dive sites and the knowledge of the diving and boot crew was above standard. It was a lot of fun and at the same time really educational about our fascinating marine live!
