For many years I used to take my whole family’s wrist watches there for battery replacements. But my most recent experiences were just awful. The technician was extremely unprofessional and rude. I reported it to the “manager” on duty, but she couldn’t really do anything about this guy’s behaviour. I decided on two separate occasions to just turn around and leave. The last time I told that manager that they need to do something about the deterioration in their service. And I told her that I will never make use of their service again. How can one trust a person with this kind of bad behaviour with one’s prized possessions?

UPDATE: Emailed the manager over 2 months ago, as per their reply to my review. No response. Appalling service. In this day and age, they place no value on customer service. Took my Seiko watch in to have a new battery replaced. The sales lady was very helpful and even suggested it may be possible to clean the inside of the glass (which the watch needed). Returned an hour or so later, the small dial second counter hand was out of place (sticking up above the watch face). When I pointed out that this is not how I left the watch, the watchsmith eventually came out and said that the mechanism is broken, and that he could take the watch apart again to try and put the hand back into place but that there is a risk it may break. When I said that I would rather he not open the watch again, he suggested their service centre but that could take up to 8 weeks. He then recommended another place in Milnerton(On Time) , which I have just returned from R400 the wiser (the hand was simply reseated, and the watchsmith there said that all mechanisms are working perfectly). Time watch offered no discount or apology for their work... I hope this review helps other people make an informed decision about where to take their watches.

Went in today to have my Omega seamaster watch battery replaced. The gentleman behind the counter ,Lee, called their watch specialist, Patrick, from the back and he confidently sorted it out within 5 min, where other watch companies wanted me to wait 3 weeks. Thank you for the great service from your two helpful staff members.

Bought a watch there many months ago, went back on Saturday to have metal strap adjusted. Extremely helpfull staff that arranged for Lynn to look at strap and fix promptly free of charge. Excellent service!

Hi everyone, My wife and I went at the store few days ago , cause I wanted to fix my gift watch Guess. What amazed me the most, was the professionalism of Patrick and Lona. The clientele service was a success. My wife was happy for the hospitality and good environment we found in the store. Bottom line, I am glad that Patrick managed to fix my watch. It took him only 24hours to get my watch sorted. It an original watch, and difficult to fix. Patrick did it. He is a specialist and Lena give also an amazing service over the counter. Their are the best and warm-hearted beautifull person. Can't wait to tell my friends to visit time watch @ tygervalley

Had a Citizen Chronograph, which was my dads, battery replaced, now the seconds don't reset to 12 O'clock, I would also not recommend taking higher end watches there as they manhandle the watches and place them straight on solid glass countertops with no respect to scratching it.
