Stayed here on Christmas Day, got to the hotel a few hours before check in and was allowed to check in early which was great. The hotel building is in nice condition and seems like it has been renovated or updated within a last few years. The front desk clerk (I think it might have also been the owner) was very personable and polite. Check in was painless. I have never stayed at a Country Inn before so had no idea what to expect but have always been curious. I also didn't do too much research on this trip on picking a hotel. I was pleasantly surprised on this one. The hotel and room was clean and cozy. Everything in the room worked as it should and the bed was comfortable with 3 pillows. Air conditioning unit was quiet and functional. The only real complaint I would have is the water pressure in the shower was lacking. It was like a trickle. It was quiet during the night from other guests. Breakfast was a nice spread with make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, sausages and potatoes as the main choices. Cranberry, orange and apple juices were offered. Check out was good. This stay was definitely a great value for the price and inexpensive compared to other options in the area. No deposits are required for the stay. Definitely recommend and will stay here again if I need to in the future.

We had a very late check in and were able to get our rooms quickly. All the gas stations in the area were closed and our toddler was out of milk. The person at the front desk was happy to pour us a small glass of milk which we were really grateful for. We requested 2 connected non-smoking rooms with a crib, but instead got 2 rooms close to each other, 1 smoking(!) and no crib. We were too exhausted to make a fuss, but the smoking room was probably the biggest surprise. We think it was a smoking room because it was the only room without the no smoking symbol on the keycard reader and because the room smelled like cigarettes, although we saw no ash trays. The toilet in our room didn't flush until I lifted the tank and temporarily rigged it up to work as part of the armature was broken and had sank to the bottom. Coin based washer and dryer were available on site. Complementary breakfast has a make your own waffle which was pretty neat and had an assortment of options, area was kept clean. Given that we just wanted a place to rest our head along our 20 hour drive, it was overall a mostly clean and pleasant stay for the price and we didn't give the hotel a chance to remedy our issues since we never mentioned them.

3 feels appropriate. The service is great. The room had a weird smell from the mini fridge that didnt work. The carpet had stains, the walls had random stains. Most of the metal fixture had rust. The bed was great. So all in all its a convenient place to stay

This place is a prime example of why I think southern hospitality is fake. We had a six month old baby covered in vomit and absolutely miserable. I wanted to check to make sure it wasn't something more urgent than an upset tummy. We didn't have a reservation but it was urgent so we asked to use the restroom and the clerk told us it was for staff only, and that we could visit the gas station down the street. When I asked if they had a changing table, she said "I don't know we don't have to use it." There are rules, and then there is pettiness. There should be some sort of switch in a person's brain that says "sick baby, special situation". But not here. For shame.

There is a BP gas station next to the hotel (share a parking lot area). You hear lots of noise throughout the night. If you are a light sleeper, where earplugs so you can get some rest! We had a non-smoking King bedroom suite reserved for 2 adults and two kids because the kids would sleep on the sofa bed. This room was not the size of a typical suite you would get at other places, it was definitely smaller. It said non-smoking on the door but as soon as you walked in, it smelled of cigarette smoke. Outside of the air vents in the bedroom and the little hallway there were cheap tree shaped car air fresheners hanging out of the vent, obviously to try and cover up the smoke smell. We put coffee grounds on the carpet to see if it would soak up the stench and it didn't touch it at all. I even had a diffuser going and you could still smell the smoke. When the hotel staff was asked about it, they said the whole hotel was non-smoking, and that may be the case now but our room was clearly a smoking room at one time! The faucet in the bathtub had a steady stream drip. We told the front desk about it and they never had maintenance come fix it. The breakfast is ok. They had a variety of pastries, cereal, yogurt, eggs (powdered is what they looked like), sausage links, potatoes, and make your own waffles. The best thing in my opinion is the make it yourself waffles. The staff members seem to have a "whatever" type attitude toward the customers when you notify them of issues or have a question. I personally will not be staying here again.

It has potential in being a great hotel. Breakfast is great with variety. Some paint finishes needs to be made. But would recommend.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! This hotel is disgusting. In Room 121, there were mealworms or maggots in my bathroom, on the floor and on the sink 🤮 also the curtains were broken and wouldn’t cover the whole window. After requesting for a new room, getting in the 2nd room the smoke detector in the bedroom is hanging from the ceiling, hopefully there is no camera in it. Overall 0 out of 10 and please do not stay here.

Cannot recommend. Ice machine was broken and there was only one in the entire hotel. Restroom located near lobby was out of order. Room smelled horrible- mold and mildew were the overpowering smells. Very worn out-gouged trim work and walls/ceiling stains and wobbly toilet noticed in the room and bathroom. Did not feel clean. We can't rest well in this type of environment. Thank goodness it was just an overnight stay on the road to better places.

Upon check in, our room was not up to the expectation we had booked. The room was clean and nice but we understood we booked a jacuzzi suite which was not what was offered. In working with Tom in customer service he rectified this situation the best he could to satisfy us and assure he keeps a an opportunity for us to rebook. Thank you Tom, well done!

Perfect safe stop over location. Right off 95 so it's really easy to get to if you're driving somewhere and need to stop over for a night. Clean, spacious, comfortable bed, TV with all the cable channels, everything worked AC etc, cozy atmosphere, reasonably priced at $85 plus tax for a night on a stop over on our way to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Good safe well lit location. No creepy scary in the middle of nowhere feeling. Also at least three other hotels in the immediate vicinity so it's not remote or lonely feeling and you have options. This was what we chose based on appearance and price. Accessible to food groceries gas In the immediate area. McDonald's nearby for quick late night meal and I believe a 7-Eleven down the block too. And a couple other food spots I can't remember right now. We went for breakfast next day to a Shoney's on Hull Rd that was not too far away with great staff and excellent food. But that was only because we hadn't been to Shoney's in forever as in many many years so we really wanted to go there. But this hotel has a restaurant on the spot and breakfast is included in the price and you can't beat that and from what I heard the food is very good.

Me and my family only stayed there for one night. We were hesitant at first because of some of the bad reviews, but we had an incredible experience with the service offered at this hotel. We used the laundry machine available in the hotel when suddenly the dryer broke on us. We had already washed all of our clothes. We were wondering about a laundry at near by laundromat to dry off our clothes to one of the hotel staff Since it was late, he let us used their own dryer to dry our clothes off which we were incredibly grateful for. It seems to be a very small hotel and operated by a very small number of staff in a small town. There are only two floors for the whole hotel. Their free breakfast was also very good compare to other hotels and had a variety of food offered (bacon, eggs, potatoes, waffles etc.) Overall a very pleasant experience at this hotel for our family. The rooms was standard for what we were expecting nothing particular to note on. Highly recommend.

This place needs updating. The room looked old with mismatched furniture. A bit dirty as well. I paid $122 for the night. Way too much for this place. The only good thing, super convenient location right off I95.

Very clean hotel, good breakfast and great staff. We forgot our garment bag in the closet in our room. Noticed it only when we came home, and I called the hotel at 9:30 pm. I talked to Sayed, he told me not to worry, the manager will call in the morning and your clothes' will be shipped. Next morning, at 8:30 am the manager called, asked to email the address and confirm the credit card info. We received our clothes 2 days after. Thank you!

Nice hotel, quick drive to downtown Richmond. Quiet nights except there was a strange clicking noise coming from our fridge(?). Sides of toilet seat were peeling and the chair in our room was clearly stained/dirty. It did also advertised there was a pool but they mean a whirlpool in certain rooms. Breakfast was mediocre but convenient. They also had flyers to nearby local pizza place that delivered right to your door.

Requested two queen beds - 1 room - clean, quiet and I was okay paying $123 with tax. Breakfast was generic but so is IHOP. The only issue was that the hot water from the shower was not heating up. Other than that great experience.

Disappointed that the bathroom was dirty... floor, wall, and shower with hair in multiple places The room had a unpleasant smell to it. Not to mention the system was down and I couldn't check in. Huge inconvenience after traveling all day. But the customer service was great.

My stay is always good and relaxing b/c I get the whirlpool room. The only issue was the smell!! It smelled like they clean the carpet or floor with old mop water. Luckily, I had some spray in my purse that helped. The breakfast was just OK but will definitely stay again.

Clean is a must. Had a late check in of 8 pm and had no issues. Many places to eat like Burger King, Waffle House and McDonalds. Gas station in the parking lot area. Has a small continental breakfast of cereal, pastries and a small hot bar. Late check out!! Friendly staff. Great water pressure.

Clean, roomy rooms. We had the king size bed room with the jacuzzi. The service was excellent! Mohsin checked us in snd he was the nicest, most helpful and hard working we have met in a long time. Breakfast was very decent and the hotel's location is right off the I-95 south ramp.

Room appeared clean but it couldn't cover up the pervasive smell of mold or mildew. Carpet felt perpetually damp, a likely source of the overwhelming smell. The shower was broken in several places and roughly patched, curtain rod sagged and caused the curtain to not function. Whike attempting to rig this up in the shower with no anti slip anything and no safety bars I fell and ruined my weekend. 30 more dollars will get you an infinitely nicer room.
