We had a good service upon arrival and we are really thankful for the employee who helped us to open our room - our card key was not working well. Sadly, he was leaving at 23:00, so we were too afraid to get stuck outdoor to go out to get things in the car at night. (Two double-bed, non-smoking) The room is more spacious than most and the bed are great enough. Bring your own pillow, it’s a must. The AC helped, but the room smelled funny until it was cooled down. On the perks, the AC works well. We had bugs (on the floor, none in the beds, but still) and the door was poorly fitted. Pictures were joined. It’s an ok stay for those who does not have high expectation. If it was not for the bugs, it would be much better.

The staff is very unprofessional. I booked for a week for a college trip to save money and we stayed for about 3 nights and there were 4 guests with two beds and they cancelled our reservation for the rest of the week and said it was because the room was "booked". We then tried re booking online because we felt like they were lying about the room availability. We tried to check in the next day after having to stay at another more expensive hotel and a man at the front desk told us we had been put on the do not sell list because of to much traffic in and out of the rooms but we we're only in the rooms to sleep and out exploring Richmond during the day. They lied and wasted our time. I still haven't gotten a refund for my booking. We stayed in the room for the price and you definitely get what you pay for. The room had an awful cigarette smell even though we paid for non smoking. We also found mold and three roaches during our stay. The sheets had burn holes and they don't allow you to have more then two towels which you can only access during the day. I'm highly upset about being lied to and kicked out of this low level crack motel for doing absolutely nothing wrong. Clearly you have to be a tweaker to stay there or they will kick you out and treat you with no manners.

I have never seen so Many different sizes and types of bugs in a motel room. This place needs to be demolished and rebuilt from the ground up. Everything in the room has a roach nest under it or behind it. Imagine being in bed and a bug crawls up your arm. Even leaving the lights on didn't work. I have stayed in hotels in different countries with lower economic makeups and never had this problem. I didn't sleep at all in the room that night and ended up sleeping in My car after emptying and repacking my bags to make sure I didn't have bugs in them. Also on the interstate 95 side it's like the walls are paper thin and allow 80% of noise to enter the room. There has to be a safety inspection done on this place, locks that don't work, toilet that didn't flush, rooms without proper fumigation, or haven't been cleaned, etc. The star given is because its required, it doesn't deserve that.

I don't even know where to start with this whole experience. Our first room when we walked in smelled like smoke, we reserved non smoking, there were NO bed sheets on the bed or toilet paper in the bathroom, plus moldy left over food in the microwave. When we went to the front desk and asked for a new room they gave us one. This one too smelled like smoke, but supposedly was non smoking. There were literal zip ties on the the dresser and cabinet handles to open them. (We have pictures of everything) The "breakfast" was a Tupperware bowl of bread and Little Debbies. I know it was only $81 total but geesh had we not been in desperate need of a shower, we would have packed up and left.

This hotel is the worst one within a 5 mile radius ..the previous reviews right ring true .. a careless roach infestation, absolutely filthy carpet, the customer service is less then garbage .listen spend the extra $20 and stay at an acceptable establishment.. you can't bring your wife here.

For a 2 star hotel this one isn’t bad! It’s a comfortable place to sleep and the room (non-smoking) was in good condition. The bathroom was small and the towels were too small for a tall girl like me, but it was good for just a place to rest. The price was pretty low as well, which is always a plus!!

Boy is it story time: first off the place is sketchy in the back. Listen the roaches rented the room before I did okay?? I check everything before I use anything in a hotel and I found the one thing I do not stand for. The bathroom door had a hole, roaches were in the cracks of the bed, the drawers, the AC. There was a dried stain on the bed assuming an old blood stain. I bout passed out. I checked IN and OUT at the same time. The man gave my money back immediately. These ppl know the conditions and still operate. I mean renovate or atleast call Terminex or better yet burn the place. I still have nightmares. Here yall go look!

This was a horrible place to say the least. There are roaches, rooms are pathetic and staff wasn't helpful at all. This should be advertised as a "by the hour" property. Priceline was no help and I was honestly scared to death. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worse enemy. I was supposed to bring my granddaughter with me, but I'm so thankful that I didn't. I'm afraid to go to sleep.

I've been at this location and stayed here one time and one time only I will never be returning they will be lucky if they are still in busy depending on who my review gets back too. I got here to check in for a reservation I had made at last min while traveling. When I got to my room all I did was walk in and the bugs were everywhere in plain sight. On the bed on the floor on the walls everywhere your eyes could see. I go up front and demand another room. I was given another. As you can imagine same issue. Bugs everywhere and in this room it was dirty. A non smoking room with ashes on every surface. I go back down to the office with pictures and tell him look I'm not someone to complain but this is the second room that you've given me and it's worse than the first at least the first was clean. Do you have a room that is not bug infested or dirty? I get to the 3rd room with the front desk agent. He stands and watches me very carefully and thoroughly check the room from top to bottom left and right and finally I got a little lucky no bugs was a little dirty but it was enough for the night. So I thought. To get passed the room problems and on to the other the area and location of this place is not safe. If you have kids I don't recommend bringing them here. I however have a five year old that I was worried I put in danger. Why. High traffic of people out walking up and down the sidewalk in front of my door way after midnight making noise banging on our room window and door telling common out I know your in there. There was no phone in my room to call the front desk so I had to take an alternative rout. All was handled. I will not be coming back here due to all of these problems this place is gross unsafe and the last place on earth anyone could stay in and possibly get any rest without worry. I strongly feel bad for everyone that has given their feedback complaining of the same issues as me and couldn't get their money back. It simply isn't right.

Welcome to "Rabbit in the Room" inn, where hotel ownership accuses you of having phantom bunny rabbits in your room. Got your interest? Read more. Our room was as clean as one could expect at a discount hotel, even if a bit tight in the bathroom. The cleaning staff was helpful. You get what you pay for with this place. If you're looking for a cheap but fit for human occupation place to sleep and shower, this place is what you're looking for. We stayed here for a few weeks over the summer when waiting to get into an apartment. Upon arrival our toilet wasn't working but was immediately fixed. Three weeks or so into our stay, one of the owners, who constantly walked around watching the guests while pretending to be on his cell phone, said he needed into our room to "check the toilet". What he wanted to do was snoop around. Our toilet had been fixed. Weeks ago. We go to pay for our next week and we are told that we have a rabbit in our room. We are told that we would have our room inspected without warning for said rabbit at anytime, and if a rabbit is found, we would be kicked out. Mind you, when he came snooping, our room was in need of cleaning, and one of us who works construction had drug in some grass and mud ( which we cleaned before leaving ourselves) Needless to say, we packed, left and found another hotel. Not because we were guilty, but we didn't like being treated that way as guests. There is a way to handle this without invading your guests privacy and getting confrontational with them. A simple reminder from the front desk " Hey, we are reminding all our guests that we have a strict no pet policy that we take seriously...any guest found to be in violation will be asked to immediately leave without a refund, and will be held responsible for cleaning costs and damages as a result of violation" No need to be confrontational of guests, or make accusations But we did somewhat enjoy our stay at Rabbit in the Room Inn.

My daughter had to walk on a soggy floor and it smelled like mildew the entire time, after my visit I was charged a few for a the room not being completely cleaned however I was still able to get a room... (dumping trash and vacuuming the floor,no I didn't waste anything crumbly) The fact that I wasn't turned away and banned but they instead took my money just goes to show they don't get much business so they take whatever they can get. Clean your rooms like there isn't housekeeping, because they don't like vacuuming or wiping surfaces out of hospitality.

Ok for traveling workers. Felt less than ready for a family to stay at bit it served our purpose to sleep. Burn holes in bedspread and blankets didn't help either. But worked for the night.

It is a terrible motel. No amenities. They overcharge for what you get which is nothing but the room. I didn't even have an ice bucket or a toilet paper holder. I asked to sit in the lobby waiting for my ride which came 15 minutes late at 12:15 and they kicked me out. That's after I spent $150 for two days. Just rude and poor customer service. Tub had a dirty looking stain in it. I don't recommend at all if I could've gave zero stars I would have.

When you're tired, it's a comfy & pretty secure. The clerk made us feel very safe and was professionally kind.

I booked a reservation prior to arriving. I entered the office and the woman was helping others, so I read some of the signage. They have a no pet policy, which is reasonable. I checked in and let the woman at the reception know I have a service animal. She called her manager and was told to refuse the sale. She attempted to ask for a “service dog ID” which is against both VA state law and ADA federal law. I informed them of this and was still refused on this basis. I am reporting them to the ADA, but if you are a someone with a service animal be warned.

They gave me a room that was dirty with trash and the beds were already used. I went and asked for another room or refund and they said all they could do was change the sheets and clean it up a bit which they didn't. I also asked for a non smoking room and got one where there were burn wholes in the bed/sheets.

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever seen!!! First off I called ahead of time to check availability and was told it’s 65 for a double bed…upon arrival they tried to charge me an extra 10 dollars…ended up telling them the quote they gave me over the phone and he agreed to 65!!! Well I get to the room and it’s a nightmare strong bug spray smell…refrigerator doesn’t work…no shower curtain in the bathroom and plenty of bed bugs…I will never stay there again..btw it was room #105 whatever u do stay away from that room

The back buildings are the traps. I advise to ask for a room on the front. I stayed in the front rooms before and didn't have as bad of an experience. The back buildings...especially the 300 to 400 rooms dont get cleaned everyday...no clean towels everyday..guests are putting their trash bags out by the door and it sits there all day into the next for the most part. Roaches. HORRIBLE. As I said, try to stay in front buildings by the office. They get cleaned everyday probably just because they are on the front. Great way to trick everybody.

This is the worst hotel in the area..the roach infestation is unbearable. I believe that no matter how cheap the hotel is the establishment ahould at least have enough integrity to make sure they're clean and definitely without a bug infestation. I saw a roach in the tub, one on the refrigerator, by the a/c unit, sink, and the final straw was the one i saw on the pillow..at that point i was out..hotel customer service was non existent as all I could access was the security guard who claimed he was also the manager.. that guy is a joke..like anyone else who lets the title of security guard embolden them. I simply wanted another room with less roaches cause this establishment obviously needs the money and won't give you a refund and I was told that I complained to much and not to come back 🤷🏾‍♂️.. I won't be back...

Absolutely dreadful hotel. Cops were there every night, room was in terrible shape. For the price it wasn't even fair. More like they should pay you to stay there Update. How does the "owner" bypass all the nasty pictures and destroyed room just to talk about the policing, look at the pics. Fix your hotel! These pictures are worthy of a hotel being shut down. Exposed wires kicked in doors holes in wall bugs stains criminal activities and no smoke detector. Like really?

Room was very uncomfortable. Could hear people talking all night and loud booms constantly. Continental breakfast was not free. No muffins, only stale cereal and anything else they had a price on it. False advertisement. Worst $57 spent.
