Our stay at the hotel was great. View was excellent. That being said there is Room for improvement. 2.5 hours for room service, food came cold. Beds were not comfortable. When we opened our balcony curtains we found crusty panties and socks. ( hotel reimbursed us 50$ for our stay) we also found food from previous visitors in our fridge. We decided to go down to the hot tub which was so hot we couldnโ€™t even get in. And other Patrons tried and left as well. We enjoyed the setting and friendliness but unfortunately probably will not return

When I got there, I told them it was a surprise for my husbandโ€˜s 53rd birthday. I asked if the river view rooms were all the same. The hotel clerk said she would check if the room with the best view was available. She said it was available and she gave the room to us! It was amazing! The only thing blocking the view was a few pine trees. She also gave us two free drink and one appetizer voucher! The room was a semi suite with two queen beds. The beds were super comfortable with very clean bedding, plenty of pillows on each bed, and the covers were so fluffy and soft!! The room was on the second floor and the balcony faced the restaurant, which looked so romantic and the lighting on the restaurants outside patio seating was so tranquil to look at from our balcony! Our sliding glass door onto our balcony was basically one whole wall and when open you could listen to the riverโ€™s rapids or sit in the chairs on the balcony with the slider closed and enjoy it that way! The room was very clean, comfortable, romantic if you want romantic or fun if you want fun! I ordered food from the bar menu and the food was amazing and worth the price for me ๐Ÿ˜€ I highly recommend this hotel!

I donโ€™t often leave negative reviews but I just had an experience that was enormously disappointing. My brother gifted me a weekend stay here by way of a gift certificate. Weโ€™re just starting to feel comfortable traveling again as we all find our traveling legs post pandemic. Since this gift certificate was issued during COVID, we havenโ€™t had a chance to use it. I was just told the gift has expired which means this hotel has just pocketed hundreds of dollars without reciprocity of service. My friends and I historically make multiple trips a year to the Riverhouse with our families. We will never stay here again.

Definitely get a room with a fireplace for the ambiance and cabin feel experience! (You get a log to burn!) This hotel is split and situated between a river and the experience is just so relaxing! The rooms are big and comfortable with your typical hotel amenities. There are microwaves next to the ice machines which is so nice to have to warm up leftovers! The hotel is close to shopping. The staff is super friendly and informative!

I wanted to love this hotel. Great location in Bend, right along the river. However, it has some major issues right now. First, there is lots of construction going on that wasnโ€™t advertised on the website or when I called to book. Indoor pool and hot tub are closed. Staff said it would open any day. It is at least a month away from being open. Construction noise takes away from the peacefulness of the outdoor pool. Outdoor fire pits donโ€™t work. They are also set to be replaced any day per the front desk. For the price, the rooms need to be updated. The only highlight of the trip was the customer service I received from Willy at the front desk. I went to him with my complaints and he was immediately receptive and helpful. Thank you Willy! This place has the potential to be great but wait until the construction is over. Otherwise you could be very disappointed like us.

Stayed for a night in a room with a balcony overlooking the river which was beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Beds are comfy and clean. Bartender did great on my drink. My only gripes being a housekeeper at a resort myself are the fact that the room itself wasn't very clean, as well as the bathroom was very poorly done. Appliances are outdated and aged. And no continental breakfast which is usually offered at any hotel for the same rates. Overall a decent place to stay with a nice view.

The room we were given smelled horribly and the bathroom toilet was not cleaned. There were visible signs and it was gross. We were then given a different room which was better. However, the front staff was not friendly in this process, and the new room was only a little better. The outdoor pool was closed, which was one of the reasons why we picked this hotel. The indoor pool area did not have any towels. Another family said they called 20 minutes ago for towels, but no one brought any. They also complained about how unclean the place appeared to be. This was a very expensive hotel, around $400 a night, and it was absolutely not worth the price. The pictures looked amazing online. The rooms have been renovated, but so much of the place is not clean and the staff just made us feel uncomfortable.

Amazing property, staff and location. The rooms are beautiful and have fireplaces! The restaurant's food is INCREDIBLE. All around such a great place to stay.

Lovely location right on the river- our room had sliders opening right to the riverbank. Just beautiful. Food was great on the restaurant and had nice ambiance and quick friendly service. The rooms are quiet and beds comfortable. Clean enough at check-in, but never cleaned once during our stay. We didnโ€™t even get to opt on out out of cleaning services. We might stay here again , but may try other options instead.

Our first stay at the Riverhouse was a great experience. The staff was very friendly when checking in and throughout our entire stay. The room and hotel overall was very clean and updated. They provided fast and yummy room service. The indoor pool was amazing for our children they absolutely loved it. Another super big plus for us also is they are pet friendly. There are so many beautiful places to walk with your dog along the river. We highly recommend this hotel and will be staying there every time we are in Bend.

We were served by Evan Mann. And yes, he was THE MAN!! Ha. He was awesome tho. So polite. Welcoming. And forgiving of my little guys. I have two, 5 y/o twins and they can be bouncy, loud and crazy. But he was so polite and handled us perfectly. Phenomenal service from this guy!

This was a thoroughly average stay considering the price I paid for this stay. The room itself was high quality but the wood fire place left a strong odor. I had a lot of little problems with the room and it's cleanliness such as: Netflix didn't work, a few cable channels didn't work, room thermostat remote did not work, lots of spider webs and bugs on the patio, found a long hair on the bed spread, poorly cleaned shower with dirt in the upper corners of the walls, clogged bathroom sink. The best thing was probably just being by the river itself and the bed being super comfortable. I called the front desk on the morning of my departure to let them know about all the problems but was responded to with a could care less attitude, no offers of apologies and no mention of any compensation on a $250/night room. Overall, disappointing stay that all could have been great with an extra bit of care given by housekeeping, maintenance and the front desk.

The location is amazing. Being able to listen to the river is so wonderful. The tissues and toilet paper leave something to be desired. I personally didn't find the bedding to be particularly comfortable, but everyone is different...I can be picky. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I liked the fridge/freezer combo. There was a microwave and coffee maker in the room too. There is a pool, though we didn't come prepared this time. I'd return again.

Good location. Staff is friendly. Rooms are well below average unfortunately. Cleanliness was okay, nothing deal breaking ,but lack of attention to the small details. Our entire building smelled strongly of cleaner, to the point of causing headaches. One of the electrical outlets in the room had clear scorch marks. The carpet was coming up in corners of the room. The phone in the room was dead. For all of the mentioned problems, canโ€™t recommend for the pricing (we paid 200+ for a night)

The hotel I thought was great overall. Sadly, I left a bag in the room, so I called them about 4 hours later the same day of checkout and told me housekeepers found it and they'll send it to the address on the reservation. Now three weeks later they tell me they never found a bag. I can only conclude someone stole it. Conclusion great hotel, but be weary and don't forget anything.

This is a okay hotel, the staff was friendly. The restaurant has good food but too pricey. Itโ€™s definitely. Peaceful here, great view on the river. The worst thing are the pillows and bed woke up with a sore neck in the middle of the night, and body hurting because of the bed. The room smelled like mothballs and that also bothered me throughout the night. I would not stay here again, they need to do some remodeling around here.. good luck if you stay here hope you donโ€™t wake up with a stiff neck.

Stayed at the hotel for a conference. The room was nice and I liked the sink in the bathroom and outside the bathroom. However, it was really cold this week, in the negatives. The water in the shower only got maybe luke warm. It was really disappointing. Also the food at the conference was not very good. A chicken Caesar salad wrap with cranberries in it for some reason. Pasta salad with long spaghetti noodles that were hard to get out of the serving bowl and bland to the taste. I actually just went to Trader Joeโ€™s and got my own food after the first day of the conference. Made things much more pleasant.

Great food at Currents. Room was nice. We stayed in the PET room because of our dog. The carpet could use a good steam cleaning! Kinda stinky. Overall I would recommend. The NON pet rooms were very nice and smelled great!

Invest in some decent mattresses! The beds perfect if you like to sleep on hard surfaces. The housekeeper came at 8am on check out day. Beautiful location, although not all river view balcony rooms are off ground level. The walking bridge that connects the different areas of the hotel have a GREAT view into river view king ground floor rooms.

I loved the location of this hotel in Bend, the room was huge but a little dated but it appears they are working on updating most of the hotel. The river right outside the hotel lobby was beautiful. I would love to come back again in warmer weather to enjoy the scenery. For some reason the refrigerator only kept going for 2 hours, you would have to open it up and turn it back on. It would be nice to have a freezer too with the fridge and a microwave. But it is close to downtown Bend and near lots of restaurants. They also take dogs for a fee - that was a plus!

Front desk receptionist was very nice, room was extremely clean and I love the fireplace addition. Having a balcony overlooking the river is awesome, I've stayed in hotels twice the price and they were half as clean and well kept. Would love to stay here again!

A memorable stay in Bend, Oregon. Riverhouse is delightfully located aside the Deschutes. We dined the first evening on the patio overlooking the river. Currents is an excellent restaurant. Great fitness center...very well equipped and maintained. Riverhouse is also not that far from other areas of Bend. Overall, my wife and I highly recommend this to you!

Almost all the employees are really nice. Not enough coffee in the rooms. No sweet and low in the rooms but they do have it in the bar. They do have a pool table outside the bar. The river view is spot on and well worth not enough coffee. And we had a real fireplace

  • 4/5 J G. 8 months ago on Google
I did not try the dining but many people seemed to be enjoying their time there. Quite busy. However I was somewhat disappointed in the room. The room was large but the bathtub was scarred and shower rod was rusted. The window for the view was quite dirty. The view of the river sitting on the deck (second floor) was obscured by the large wood piece on the top of the railing. The only way to enjoy the view of the river was to stand. I had quite bad sinuses while staying in this room. Made me wonder how often the air conditioner filter is changed due to the smoke of the local forest fires. The charge for the room is quite high and I expected better.

Stayed here on our way from Idaho to Medford & will definitely be staying here again when we come back through Bend. The front desk, bar, and restaurant staff were all very nice and welcoming. The hotel itself is close to restaurants, but the Currents restaurant at the hotel has great food and drinks. Even better the view is on the river! The hotel is pet friendly and has an outdoor pool and an indoor pool with jacuzzi. The rooms are pretty large and overall I thought very clean.

Had a delightful table with a great view from the outdoor patio to the Deschutes river. Enjoyed a well balanced Arnold Palmer, followed by a nice local beer. We enjoyed the food and the serving staff were very friendly, efficient and attentive without being in your way. The bridge over the river is nice spot for slow river gazing.

We loved staying at this hotel. The rooms were larger than expected. Everything was clean and the staff was helpful. The restaurant has delicious food and I'd highly recommend eating there.

We were very pleased with our stay at Riverhouse on the Deschutes. They had availability when we booked 2 days before coming down to Bend for a busy weekend, their pet friendly room was clean and well maintained as well as the other facilities (lobby, exercise room). Location was awesome, the food at the restaurant was super fresh & delicious, and staff was friendly. We would definitely stay here again!

I've only eaten ate the restaurant. And it is so good. The food is amazing, thank you chef's. The service is so good, the staff are prompt, courteous, and you don't wait long till your meal is served. It's beautiful by the river, and there's never been a long wait. You should definitely check it out weather your staying at the hotel or not

If I had to guess, I would say we killed 137 ants. No shade on the bedroom window was brutal. Pool was gross. Hot tub had crime scene caution tape & no plan to fix whatever was wrong. Felt bad when sliding glass door screen fell off the tracks, then noticed while walking the dog that many were in same condition. Looks good from far, far from good

Checked in Thursday for a two night stay for the memorial day weekend. Coffee table top had water glass marks on it. The bed appeared rumpled. After a night on the town pulling the bedding back noted stains on the sheets. One pillow did not have a pillowcase. Screen at bottom of sliding screen door was ripped out. No bathmat in bathroom. Since we were staying only two nights was told there would be no maid service. Had to re-pack and move to a new room at 10:30 at night. For $300 per night I certainly expected much more. Oh, for my trouble I was comped a breakfast.

Rooms are not fancy but very nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The grounds are really pretty overlooking the Deschute River. Also a nice hike close to the hotel. Need to Uber into town.

I travel to Bend once a month and always stay at the Riverhouse. The staff there is amazing (front desk, cleaning and restaurant!). Friendly, honest and hard-working. The place is immaculate and they really make every effort to make you feel at home. The food at the restaurant is outstanding. The cleaning crew has twice picked up items I left in my room. Can't say enough good things about- the Riverhouse- they really take care of their customers!

The staff was really friendly. We had a great room which was very clean and well maintained. The lobby looked brand new. It was relocated from the building we were in. They were still doing some construction on it so the lighting wasn't great in the stairwell. That was the only negative mark on our stay.

  • 5/5 Isaac A. 5 years ago on Google
Room was immaculate, beautiful facility. Updates of rooms and hallways remodel looked great. Gym had everything I needed to do all of my normal workouts I do at my home gym each morning. Staff was super friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Best place to stay in Bend every time.

Rooms are hit and miss. Ours had a lovely view of the river, but was under elephants and on the main water line so pounding and flushing noises all night. That said, the staff were wonderful! Recommend. 8/10

Great place! Enjoyed the heated pool when we got in. It's open to 10pm. The bar looked good. People were having a fun time. The restaurant was busy for dinner. It was a little bit pricy for us. We ended up eating at Olive Garden. Breakfast is available for an extra charge. The room is big and bed is very comfortable. The bathroom has a nice sized tub with a hot shower. There are two sinks. One is outside the bathroom for my wife. Nice sized refrigerator and large screened TV. We were on the first floor in the second building closest to the pool. It worked out perfectly for us. Since it was on the ground floor we had sliding doors to the outside. This made it easy for packing and unloading car. I would definitely recommend this Hotel for staying!

We were over booked and arrived just before midnight - after driving 9hrs, just to be told that there wasn't a room for us. The person who was working the night desk basically said it wasn't there problem - the company also didn't call us to let us know, and didn't even try to find us accommodations somewhere else. It was nearly 2 by the time we were able to check in somewhere else. The place looked nice but I don't think the service matches the quality.

Stayed at The Riverhouse for a work conference. The property was beautiful, the rooms were spacious and well appointed, the Convention Center was very well equipped for our large conference... but most of all, the staff (both hotel & convention center) were INCREDIBLE. Outstanding customer service all around. Thank you for a great weekend, Riverhouse!

Excellent experience at the Riverhouse! The folks at the Front Desk are helpful, kind, patient and knowledgeable. What a wonderful way to spend the holidays away from home, visiting family! Best of all, furry friends are welcome :) The sound of the River and the beautiful surroundings are delightful. We LOVE the Riverhouse and stay whenever we are in Bend. Currents, the Restaurant has excellent food and service and the lounge has comfortable seating, tables, a pool table and other games. Super fun, warm and delightful. My suggestion is to visit Bend, and make the Riverhouse on the Deschutes your destination. Everything else is just a bonus....

I would recommend Riverhouse to anyone planning a trip to Bend. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. My room was spacious & had an awesome view of the river. I stayed in a Sagebrush room and it even had a fireplace. I loved walking across the bridge over the river every day to get to the restaurant and the lobby. Their restaurant "Currents" had great, attentive staff and the food was incredibly tasty. We were also very close to all of the activities we wanted to do off property. Great stay overall and highly recommend Riverhouse!!

We had a reservation to stay here tomorrow evening, however, we are having a winter storm here in Portland and called to cancel or re-schedule due to road conditions. The treatment we received was unsympathetic and just plain awful. They will not refund due to "acts of nature." They would rather we risk our lives driving in a blizzard than refund our money or help us in any way. They also would not allow us to talk to the manager, Perry is the name they provided. He was too busy. I was under the impression this was a classy hotel. I was sadly mistaken. I do not recommend.
