My spouse and I have vacationed and stayed in motels, resorts, condo rentals and 6-star rated hotels. This Premier hotel has many things to improve on... Little things like they don't provide insulation sleeves for the hot coffee cups, wifi is at 72Mbps that is slower than mobile data speed, no standby tissues for the room with less than 5 tissues remaining in the tissue box, toilet papers are super thin, and the hygiene is questionable. The tiles grout in the shower area leaves behind streaks of black water when we walked out after bath. Yucky! And then the worst happens... Both of us were bitten by bed bugs! We requested for a different room next morning but there was no immediate availability. The receptionist had to go behind the backroom for about 5 mins before agreeing to switch us to a different room when there is one available. There wasn't a single apology throughout. They declined when we offered to show them the bites mark as evidence. There are rooms available facing away from the road and they wanted us to pay $5 more if we want them. The point here is there are no empathy, and the staff is clearly untrained to make customer's experience a good one or at the very least make things right. During checkout, we requested a conversation with the manager and felt so wrongly accused when she made statement like "you could have been bitten anywhere". We realized it was pointless talking further and checkout paying full price, i.e., $503 for 2 nights July 10th & 11th. We stayed in room #424 where we were both bitten & #436. We've never had such a bad hotel experience in over 30+ years of travel. We're skipping Best Western for our future vacations.

We stayed a few times times our last stay was just awful and will never return. They charged us a cleaning fee with no explanation. It took 2months of emails to finally get a response. They made claims we solid the the bedding with blood. They were unwilling to send any proof that this actually happened. Because it did not. It's impossible to talk to them on the phone. And they send generic emails to complaints instead of properly investigating. Bend north has better rooms and staff. My kid's actually did wet the bed at north and tried to pay a cleaning fee and they were so kind and where told dont worry about it. So clearly peppertree is acting outside of best western and have no clear way of documentation these issues. Word of housekeepers who clearly mix up room numbers is enough yo blindly charge people. With no bill. No reciepts. No email. It took months to find out why they charged me. I demanded asked for a refund because they had no proof. Crickets. Emails stopped. They are crooked here. They try so hard to be premier but truly this is a roach motel with a mask on. Pretty fixtures doesn't fix bad staff and poor policy. As a diamond member and travel for work and family I stay 50+ nights a year. This hotel has stuck in my memory since last summer when we stayed. Avoid it at all costs.

Tanya, Tanya, Tanya. If she isn’t running this place by now I can’t imagine why. As someone who stays in hotels 2-3 times a month I’ve gotten used to extended stays in a post-covid world. Usually one of the things lacking is customer service. But not at Peppertree, and I say that because of Tanya! From the moment I checked in (at 11p) she was helpful, patient, and pleasant. Then when I stupidly threw my car keys in the trash, she literally helped me dig through the dumpster to find them. *Literally* I can’t thank her enough.

Everything is great except for the WiFi. If you do Zoom, the connection is bad. I had to dial in on the phone to not sound like a robot. The rooms are big, breakfast great, got almond milk, 24/7 coffee / tea / water, has a small bar next to the front desk. Laundry is only $1.50 per load. I am usually very sensitive to loud heater/AC in hotels but this one has a good thermostat and the noise is bearable. Only 25 min drive to Mount Bachelor. Appreciate the decor and great art work as well.

I was debating for over two months on leaving a negative review. But then I thought maybe this review will help someone unnecessary hustle. The location of this hotel is nice. We even spotted a few deer when we were driving up. Beautiful lobby. However, even though the hotel states that they have a very friendly pet policy, they very much discriminate against cats. We booked ahead of time since we were traveling 1000miles+ with a cat and I tripple checked on the booking site to make sure they were pet friendly. Upon checking in we were turned down because they are a "dog only" hotel. No where in the description did they state that. After explaining to the receptionist that we have a perfectly behaving, leash-trained, highly intelligent, extensively well traveled cat (she has over 10K miles of travels in over 4 states, staying in various hotels and no accidents or issues), the staff couldn't care less and turned us away w/out a refund. Took me a while to dispute the charge... For those like us, traveling with a furry feline family member, I'd recommend, MyPlace. They had a room that we were able to book last minute. And their facilities, although not nearly as fancy as Best Western's were clean and just what we needed after a very long and tiresome drive. Our cat loved the room and the staff at Myplace were all phenomenally lovely.

EV drivers beware. The hotel itself was good for its price tier. The single Blink/Semaconnect charger in the parking lot was atrocious. It charged my Tesla at snail's pace (6.2kw) and in addition to the electricity they charge $2/hr while you're charging! Ridiculous, tone-deaf price gouge considering that many other hotels in town offer proper EV charging for free, and one even has a Supercharger farm. Also, the touch payment system on the charger is broken and the only way to charge is to call Blink and wait 20 minutes on hold for them to start your charging session.

DO NOT STAY HERE. We spent almost $1,000 to stay here for 3 nights and on day two we had no water for hours. Day three we had someone walk into our room unannounced without knocking. I have a loud 4 year old in my room that almost got out because of this staff member. If I can hear him outside of the door so can they. when I called the front desk to complain they didn’t even so much as apologize all they did was make excuses!!!! The room’s are basic af. Pool is basic af. Self check in at the front never works. Their snack selection is trash. We stayed here months ago and paid no incidental fee. Yesterday we were charged one and today we weren’t so apparently the rules vary based on who’s checking in because we always book through a 3rd party. The short female manager with the curly/wavy hair has an attitude every time I ask her a question idk what her problem is. In the 3 days since we had been here we have seen ZERO ppl of color. They will treat you differently and speak to you differently than the other guests here and then say that they checked in other minorities as if that justifies their actions or you’re simply overreacting. $300+ taxes every night to have NOTHING but problems every day. This hotel is honestly not worth it. If you’re paying hundreds of dollars you might as well go to the Hilton or Marriott. This place and it’s staff is not good, idk who’s friends have been leaving them positive reviews but it’s not worth the stay.

Arrived at this hotel after 20 hours of driving to discover they are only “dog friendly” not “pet friendly”. They turned us away with zero compassion or understanding and didn’t even provide a recommendation for where to go. They told us there was only a 75% chance we would get a refund but they couldn’t refund us because a manager wasn’t present. If we receive a refund I will alter my review to reflect this. Don’t advertise your hotel as “pet friendly” if you don’t consider cats to be pets. At the very least you should note this multiple places everywhere you advertise it as pet friendly AND send out an email to everyone after booking to ensure guests understand this before arriving.

Property has lots of parking and EV charge. Dolly luggage was in front and ready to be used. Clean lobby and room. Housekeeping was friendly! Minus for 1 stall cause the bathroom is LOUDDD!!! The safe box didn’t work for me. Just missing extra pillow & sheet in closet :/ but I didn’t ask either. Will stay again!

It is impossible to actually talk to a live person. I had billing issues and was not able to talk to anyone onsite. Everything is done with text. Normally it wouldn't be an issue however it was this time. Breakfast wasn't that great. I definitely won't go back to this location. I typically stay with best western by far worst experience.

Forewarning: it's not pet friendly. It's dog friendly only. Tags and verbiage matter - it's absolutely unacceptable to list your hotel as pet friendly if it's only for dogs. After a 20hr, 2 day trip from Arizona, we were forced to go elsewhere.

I very, very seldom write bad reviews. I try only to leave reviews when I can help a business, but I feel compelled to provide a review about an experience I just had with this hotel that's left me stymied. I have a reservation with them in two weeks. This is my first stay there and my experience trying to reach them by phone today was a nightmare. I called the local 541 phone number, which answered by saying to use their live texting service, which I did not want to do. I listened to the options, chose #5, the last one, which was miscellaneous questions, and the phone rang at minimum 20 times and hung up on me. I called back, chose #3, the repeat booking line, got the central Best Western switchboard, told them I wanted to talk to a human being in Bend. They gave me the phone number I had previously called. This time I got a human being who put me on hold for at least three minutes. I know it's not the end of the world, but since I wasn't in the greatest state of mind to begin with, it probably seemed like more than a hassle than it was. When I was off hold, the man who helped me was very, very nice. My question was whether they had tubs in the rooms because the photos of the bathrooms didn't show tubs. He said not all have them. I asked if I could request a room with a tub. He put that in my record that that's what I "preferred" and said I should call the day I'm coming in to see if they had any. I just have to say that I don't understand. I just don't understand how this could be such a difficult or above-and-beyond request, especially this early. It never even occurred to me that a tub is something so out of the ordinary or that requesting one after learning that it's not in all rooms would be potentially difficult to fulfill. I want to stress that the man I spoke with was extremely nice and he was doing his best, I know. This experience is not a great introduction to this hotel.

Great place to stay. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and well stock. The honor store was well stocked and had lots of variety.

This hotel staff is horrible!!! I've stayed at this hotel before spending over 1200 for 3 rooms for one weekend. My recent stay from 4/7 - 4/9 was an awful experience. I will never recommend nor stay at another Best Western again. Disgusting. Rude incompetent people. It's bad business. Khara is disrespectful and belittling. As well her manager below her that weekend.

Convenient location for getting to Mt. Bachelor. Rooms were clean. Decent breakfast that starts at 6. Tuning room for skis. Would stay here again.

Lovely place but I always wonder why they put pet rooms on the top floors. Kind of hard explaining to my 15 year old chihuahua that she's gotta hold it until we put on shoes, coat, walk to the elevator, wait to get to the fist floor, walk thru the lobby and walk to the pet area.

Good place. The location is a bit off the good good area of bend. Safe area regardless kind of a business area mixed with housing. The vegan girl was helpful find9ng food but the staff was clueless. If I asked what color the sky was they would have to ask the manager. Either the manager is overbearing or they are clueless. Clean rooms will stay again

Hotel is nice and modern. Breakfast was small with only a few options. Pool and hot tub were wonderful. Biggest complaint is that they only do room service every 5 days! You have to set dirty towels, linens, and trash outside your door in the hallway between 9 and noon. Makes the hallways look awful when you walk past someone's trash overflowing with diapers and tissues. If they want guests to empty their own trash, maybe put a communal trash in the hallways? But then it would make the halls smell. It's just weird. To get more supplies, you have to go to the front desk. What happened to daily service, especially for a nice hotel? But, clean, safe, quiet, and modern otherwise.

Called ahead of time to ask them to hold our room . We were delayed but were willing to pay for a night we werent staying so we had our room available . They took the money didnt hold the room sent us to a filthy uncleaned room moved us to another room that was under maintenance changed our rate to a higher one so I was on my way out the door and the manger from some 3rd rate management company changes our rate to a slightly lower one and got us a room. I explained to her you may take the money today but it will be the last time we will never come back at any rate. I went to show pics of the maintenance that wasnt done by maintenance of the room they put us in and the manager then said it didnt matter all the reviews go directly to her. I guess she figured the review would only be posted on the hotels sight.

I'd give 4.5 stars. Thank you for making me and my family feel welcomed. This travel nurse was happy to never be disbursed wasn't sure how'd that work with no "do not disbursed sign" but it won't great. The side door at the start of our stay for the first two weeks didn't work. Staff was finally able to get that fixed The last two weeks of stay the elevator door wouldn't work with out keys. That issue never got resolved. But overall fabulous stay.

I have been staying here for the last couple months and the next couple months for work. On and off for a year prior. I have not experienced any for the compliant others have had. My rooms have always been clean and functioning properly. Breakfast has always been hot and good especially the waffles and biscuits & gravy (need to have those more often ☺️) Amy who runs the pub is amazing! Great food and super nice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to the area.

Centrally located, close proximity to Deschutes River and restaurants. While there is a great selection of alcohol at their bar, the food choices are extremely limited. That being said, all the ingredients were very fresh and tasty (and who doesn't like tacos?)

Imagine being forced to stay somewhere for over 3 months and not get ANY restful sleep after working 12-13 hour shifts (60+ hours/week). This hotel is entirely too loud to get any sleep during the day when you have to work at night. Housekeeping slam doors, play loud music, and management insist on bothering you even when you clearly have a DO NOT DISTURB sign on your door. Absolutely not ideal for night time travelers. Please go elsewhere IF you have a choice! The not sleeping part is only the tip of the iceberg. There's soooo much more that went wrong, but SLEEP was my MAJOR ISSUE. I don't like people in and out of my room anyway so I do my own cleaning. I'm from the South so I guess I expected hospitality and many of the staff severely LACKED HOSPITALITY. The whole staff needs to be thrown away with the exception of the new young lady at the desk. I wish I would've got her name to shout her out. Any and every interaction with her was very pleasant.
