This
is
going
to
be
a
detailed
account
of
our
experience
with
CloudNine
Jayanagar.
It's
a
decent
place
for
maternity,
but
only
if
you
are
fortunate
enough
to
consult
a
good
doctor
here.
We
were
consulting
Dr
Jyothsna
Madan,
and
it
was
only
because
of
her
we
visited
Cloudnine
Jayanagar
even
though
it
was
quite
far
from
our
place.
We
were
to
visit
the
hospital
after
2
days
for
a
repeat
Jaundice
test.
We
decided
to
conclude
the
hospital
recommendation
and
that
was
our
big
mistake.
Here
is
the
sequence
of
events
that
followed,
1.
At
2
PM
we
reached
hospital
and
our
newborn
was
taken
for
blood
collection.
We
were
told
the
report
would
take
about
an
hour
and
we
had
an
appointment
with
a
paediatrician
at
3:30.
2.
We
were
kept
waiting
until
3:30
and
at
3:30
PM
we
were
told
verbally
that
there
was
some
abnormality
with
the
report
and
they
will
not
be
releasing
the
report.
Instead
they
wanted
to
repeat
the
test.
When
we
questioned
the
lab
technician
that
if
a
doctor
recommended
repeat
test,
he
fumbled
and
told
that
they
have
informed
the
consulting
doctor
(later
we
got
to
know
he
was
flat
out
lying)
3.
I
did
speak
with
their
Chief
Pathologist,
and
she
agreed
that
there
are
times
when
the
test
results
are
erroneous
(which
I
understand)
and
assured
us
a
2nd
test
would
be
necessary.
3.
We
had
to
agree
for
a
repeat
test.
This
time
they
took
15-20
minutes
to
collect
blood
sample
and
we
were
told
that
we
will
get
the
report
within
30
minutes.
And
we
can
see
another
Doctor
with
the
report.
4.
This
time
we
were
kept
waiting
for
2
hours
and
when
we
were
really
impatient,
at
around
5:30
in
the
evening
the
lab
technician
told
us
that
they
are
still
getting
erroneous
report
and
an
emergency
ward
doctor
will
speak
to
us.
5.
At
around
6
PM,
Dr
Srinivas
BM
came
to
us.
He
told
that
he
can't
trust
the
report.
They
still
didn't
give
us
the
Cloudnine
report,
instead
he
showed
us
a
report
from
Prima.
Dr
Srinivas
suggested
that
we
admit
our
child
for
Phototherapy
immediately
because
he
felt
Jaundice
is
at
critical
level.
When
I
raised
a
concern
that
without
seeing
the
actual
report
how
he
is
suggesting
for
Phototherapy,
he
flat
out
said
"It's
your
call,
you
decide
what
you
want
to
do".
6.
At
6
PM,
after
waiting
for
4
hours
in
hospital,
we
didn't
have
much
choice
for
a
2nd
opinion.
Also
without
a
proper
report
we
could
not
be
sure.
We
had
to
get
him
admitted.
Dr
Srinivas
didn't
write
any
diagnosis,
only
wrote
a
cheat
mentioning
"Admit
for
phototherapy"
for
their
admission
process.
7.
Doctor
told
they
will
give
4
hours
Phototherapy
starting
at
7,
and
at
11
PM
they
will
do
another
SBR
test.
Surprisingly,
right
after
we
got
admitted,
the
SBR
test
report
(at
11
PM)
came
without
any
error.
It
was
17
(for
an
infant
of
5-6
days
anything
less
than
18-20
is
normal).
The
duty
doctor
suggested
that
we
continue
the
therapy
for
the
night
and
we
had
to
agree.
8.
Next
day
one
more
SBR
test
was
done
early
morning.
The
result
was
14.9.
9.
At
around
1
PM
another
duty
doctor
told
us
to
continue
the
therapy
for
another
day
as
14.9
is
borderline
dangerous
(an
outright
lie).
By
this
time
we
have
had
enough,
and
I
started
asking
her
questions.
She
was
fumbling
when
answering
and
finally
told
that
she
will
check
with
another
doctor
and
let
us
know.
10.
I
kept
the
pressure
on
and
kept
asking
why
they
can't
do
another
test
and
based
on
the
latest
report
decide
if
we
can
be
discharged.
11.
Finally
the
duty
doctor
came
and
informed
that
there
is
no
need
to
do
another
SBR
test
and
we
will
be
discharged
at
7
PM.
This
was
my
learning
from
the
experience,
1.
First
they
don't
give
you
the
proper
report
and
make
you
wait
in
the
name
of
repeat
test.
2.
They
will
force
you
to
consult
with
the
emergency
doctor,
who
will
emotionally
blackmail
you
for
unnecessary
Phototherapy.
3.
Beware
of
Dr
Srinivas,
he
is
hand
in
glove
with
the
Lab
in
this.
4.
The
duty
doctors
are
bunch
of
liars.
5.
Most
of
the
sisters
are
really
helpful.
Especially
Vallli
maam
who
is
the
lactation
consultant.
Draw
you
own
conclusions.
P.S.
The
Car
decoration
that
they
gave,
was
blown
away
within
5
minutes.
