Overall
rating
:
4/5
-
with
great
opportunity
to
improve.
This
is
a
really
nice
lake
and
a
walking
trail
in
the
heart
of
outer
ring
ring
near
the
Adarsh
Palm
villas
community.
Access
to
the
lake
and
trail:
The
Devarabisanahalli
lake
is
maintained
by
BBMP
(government)
and
is
NOT
private.
Public
has
access
to
it.
The
problem
is,
1.
It
is
very
deceiving
bcoz
of
the
RMZ/Adarsh
palm
Arch/Security
that
is
on
outer
ring
road
that
makes
one
doubt
that
this
is
excusive/private
property.
2.
To
add
on
top
of
that,
there
is
a
INCORRECT
sign
just
before
entrance
to
the
lake
"Entrance
Only
for
Adarsh
Palm".
They
can
keep
this
only
at
the
entrance
to
the
villas
not
anywhere
before
that.
This
needs
to
be
removed
and
I
will
bring
it
up
with
BBMP.
About
the
trail
and
Lake:
It
is
a
1Km
loop
trail.
Currently
it
is
a
mud
trail
which
is
very
uneven,
so
I
will
NOT
recommend
this
for
running/jogging.
It
is
fit
only
for
walking.
The
water
surprisingly
drains
fairly
quickly
as
it
is
a
raised
trail
with
a
lake
underneath.
It
had
rained
like
24
hours
ago
,
but
it
was
in
great
walkable
condition.
The
lake
is
very
asthetic,
I
did
see
some
ducks
and
little
ducklings
and
would
make
a
great
entertainment
for
kids.
There
are
a
few
eucalyptus
trees
in
some
parts
which
give
a
pleasant
feeling.
It
is
pretty
peaceful
except
one
part
which
is
closer
to
the
road.
It
has
saplings
planted
at
the
perimeter
of
the
lake
and
it
will
be
quite
a
sight
when
those
become
trees.
People
/
house-keepers
are
already
bringing
their
pets
and
letting
them
defecate
in
the
trail
which
should
be
avoided.
People
are
also
throwing
trash
like
Pooja
items
in
the
lake.
This
can
be
avoided
only
if
there
is
more
patronage
from
fellow
citizens
to
access,
watchout
for
abuse
of
the
lake/trail.
Parking:
There
doesn't
seem
to
be
any
designated
parking.
It
is
street
side
parking.
If
you
are
going
in
2
wheeler
you
can
park
right
at
the
entrance.
Cars
may
need
to
park
slightly
away
from
the
gate
towards
Adarsh
palm
villas.
Infrastructure:
There
is
a
gazebo
that
is
getting
built
and
also
some
building(probably
restrooms)..
so
positive
things
:)
The
timings
of
the
lake:
BBMP
has
two
signs
one
at
the
main
entrance
and
other
one
at
back
entrance.
Front
entrance
mentions:
5.30-10am/4.30pm-7pm
on
weekdays
and
5.30am
to
7pm
on
weekends
and
holidays.
Back
entrance
mentions:
6am-11am/4pm-7pm
on
all
days.
It
may
be
better
to
visit
during
overlapping
hours
(6am-10am
and
4.30pm-7pm)just
to
be
sure
it
will
be
open
(though
there
is
no
gate
for
the
front
side
as
of
writing
this).
Overall:
This
is
a
nice
lake
that
needs
patronage
to
keep
it
up
and
going.
I'm
certain
this
will
evolve
into
a
good
hangout/exercise
spot.
