They don't deserve a 1 star rating. Worst Experience with the doctors of Dermatology Department. Doctors won't see you, residents will. Doctors will only just be there to see your name and will hardly give you 1 min of their precious time. I mean we pay 180 rupees for that 1 min of theirs. The Residents of the dermatology department are so good that they will cross question you and of you try to answer them or ask any of your doubts, their ego gets hurt, I mean how can someone ask doctors something? They are the supreme gods. The doctors also will support the residents and verbally argue with You and scold you for asking too many questions. I mean we can't even ask our doubts. Then Doctors should speak. Just writing the name of the medicines in the prescription is not ENOUGH. The residents as well as the doctors are pathetic. They won't clarify your doubts, will just ask you to take treatment from their Hospital only. I visited this hospital twice and I was asked by the doctor to take phototherapy and she was continuously persuading me to take phototherapy as soon as possible. I am never gonna visit this hospital again. Learn to be a Human First. I wish The doctors were taught how to behave with their fellow human being in their course curriculum.

Money making hospital, Surgery department Docrors are promoting for the operation even we recover with the medicines. 1:10 risk , patient condition is good. Slight symptoms of the abdominal pain , this doctors are promoting to do surgery, because of their commission. Very bad experience with Dr shreedhar and his assistants.

😡 COVID Vaccine here ? NEVER THINK OF IT! Pathetic organization - so much crowd everywhere and many without masks! No sign of social distancing even in billing counters. Three different queues with all badly managed. ZERO RESPONSIBILITY by this management - feels as if no one understands COVID here!! More possibility to catch COVID virus rather than get immune from it! First dose was extremely organized in classrooms etc and we were very impressed and booked for second dose also here... But was shocked with such an irresponsible service.

We went in for a friend of mine, they asked her to take all the possible scan n test for abdomen pain, and finally said, they can't help, as we have to consult gastrointestinal Doc. And against my friends will they inserted IV cannula, for which she have to undergo lot of physical pain. I think it would be better if they can analyse and treat accordingly

Arrogant security staffs. Must be taught manners and behaviour before deputing. By seeing the security staffs can make out about staffs who are inside hospital.

This place would be always crowded. So keep that in mind before you visit. Doctors and staff are overworked so please be mindful of this. They give proper room number and token for token, please go to the respective department, handover your token and follow the token number. You can see many trying to jump queue, it seldom works! Be patient. It would take minimum of 4 hours to complete your consultation here. Many outstation patients come here too. They have the best specialists and doctors. Take special appointment or normal appointment to reduce waiting time. For the treatment cost charged, this is one of the best hospitals. Parking is available but limited.

One of the best centre for medical treatment in India. Located at the center of Bengaluru. Currently it is among the 14th best Medical College & Hospital in NIRF rankings, and just 2nd after NIMHANS in the city of silicon valley of India‼️ Almost all types of OPD and emergency Medical treatment done here. Staffs are very polite in behaviour & helpful. Patients came here almost every part of India & naibouring countries also‼️ If one come first time for medical treatments they can register there name by paying only Rs.30/- besides the consultation fees varying inbetween Rs.150-180/- for OPD and super speciality OPD services...🙂

Worst Experience, We went last Saturday in urology department ..everything was good as we meet doctor and explained our problem , he recommended for surgery and referred to other department for anesthesia(should be) . But we were referred to bone department room no 12. However We paid money before visiting the room no 12 . We asked for help to help desk but no one has exact idea. Finally one nurse asked us to again pay for room no 8 , we paid , again the doctor says its general surgery department we are at wrong room. Again we came to registrations desk again we paid fee and got registration for room no 14. That's was correct . Anyhow we finished . Again we went with report to urology department , again we paid fee to meet doctor for less that 10 second he just asked us to come tomorrow between 9-10:30 for surgery admission. We went today and meet with doctor he asked to pay the registration amount , again we paid the fee . Waited for doctor call …after sometimes some other doctor called , he again asked lot of question and asked us to prepare the blood donor during surgery and it was not good interaction with doctor as well …finally we decided to drop the surgery as we couldn't be able to manage the blood donor .( Management is worst)

Unhygienic and worse, someone who I know was admitted here. And they didn't even give proper treatment. We come to hospitals for the medical facility. But the nurses and the staffs are rude if someone is suffering from pain they don't care. As a patient we understand they are busy, stressed out etc. But we come here for care, at least they can be polite in handling. Worse experience so far and I just hope they take in the reviews seriously and work on changing the atmosphere for patients and give care. As hospital has to be an hospital not an unhygienic or wose place to survive. We are humans too and patients has to be given care rather than just leaving them wondering if they are safe or if this hospital is going to give the right care.

one star is because i cannot give anything less than this. there are no experienced doctors in this hospital. hospital is run by students and residents only. patients are just lab specimens to their students. you go to this hospital only if you have intention to kill your person. these people have killed my husband. i realized this very late. at least you keep away from them. death certificate clearly says hospital acquired pneumonia.

As per my knowledge and what I have observed for last 20 days in the hospital. Took My Amma to hospital for spinal surgery. 1. What doctor is commited 120,000.00 for spine surgery but the expense came upto 2lakh, and if u ask any questions to doctor they don't respond to you at all, I see only by students and nurse run the hospital however the doctors are highly skilled and experienced. The benefit of this hospital is for the students. ⭐ ⭐ 2. Am the only person who is working currently were I can support my family with financially, previously my mother is hospitalized in Greenview and their i spent money close to 3.5lkh were currently was facing issues with financially, and the current StJohn hospital bill is 2,59lhk and due to my financial condition I have approached MSW(Social Workers) workers in the Stjohn hospital. The lady who allotted me there she is so so rude and attitude she carry which really not appropriate and the way act as she is paying from her pocket.. only, in case if they come across our situation were they will get to know what we are undergoing and the pain however finally she did not helped me anyways, she just kept asking questions like, did you asked me for Surgery and am not the doctor, why should I help you, take her to some govt hospital all this.. bla bla bla and without hesitation she asked me to leave the place was totally heart broken. What is social work? When they not Supporting/helping at all for needey people'. For this am giving negative starts-⭐s 3. Pharmacy - Worst management as we have to wait for so long for emergency medicine too .. as they just have one que, one person to Billing, for distribution they Two, or 3 staff will be there.. Don't you think for such a BIG Hospital.. do they managed very well. ⭐ 4. Security guard- They are the savior of hospital the way they react with Visitors and patient guardian. This is totally unacceptable as mother operated for spine surgery how can person will make her walk everyday. We were really facing lot of issues with securities regarding this. I request hospital management to look up this situation and help the people who really coming from outside to visit they're loveable people which will reall help the patient for motive and get them stronger. Negative star 5. Parking- Looting money from each person who is coming for visit, you will keep paying for it as how many time you visit in a day which is really annoying. This is something additional charges apart from you plan. At least the management should allow for free for the family who is hospitalized. Hopefully this will help others who knows to read and am really worried about needy like how do they get to know all the information 😔

St. John's Hospital in Bangalore has truly earned my trust and admiration through their exceptional emergency care services. I had the unfortunate experience of a self-bike accident, and the care I received at their emergency department was nothing short of outstanding. Firstly, the medical staff displayed a remarkable level of competence and compassion. They attended to my injuries promptly, and their expertise was evident in the thoroughness of their examinations and treatments. I felt reassured and well-cared for throughout the entire process. What sets St. John's apart is their commitment to providing affordable healthcare. The minimal charges for the quality of care I received were truly remarkable. It's a testament to their dedication to making healthcare accessible to a wide range of people. But the excellence of St. John's doesn't end there. On another occasion, my children faced severe allergic issues during the night, and once again, the hospital's emergency care proved invaluable. The medical team swiftly addressed their needs, easing my concerns as a parent. The hospital's commitment to round-the-clock care, even during the night, is a tremendous relief for anyone facing health emergencies. Knowing that you can rely on their services 24/7 provides great peace of mind. In summary, St. John's Hospital in Bangalore has consistently delivered exceptional emergency care services. Their competent and compassionate staff, minimal charges, and dedication to providing care at any hour make them a beacon of excellence in healthcare. I am immensely grateful for the support they've provided during my times of need.

I really had a very bad experience with this hospital. My friend was not well and I took her here to consult. The staffs are too rude and asking to go from counter to counter inorder consult a doctor. Even they don't know what's exactly the procedure is. Each staff says different things. Wasted a lot of time and was not able to consult. Not even considering the health situation of the patient. Really had a worst experience.

In order to get discharged from this hospital, either you should have immense patience to wait for 12 hrs and more after clearance, or pretend that you are trying to abscond and the security catch you and then probably after all the fighting, you would still be able to save few hours. Waiting for the process to finish and then getting discharged is like forever. The world has moved forward, but not people and management of this hospital. They have no intention to solve a problem. Ice-age people. Senior staff are also very bad behaving. They should be taught how to behave with patients. If you happen to have health insurance, be assured of a few days extra stay just to get discharged.

Primary goal of a hospital is empathy then comes treatment and care. You have failed miserably in all. Your hospital staff treat people like animals. For a medicine we have to do lots of rounds in hospital from this to that department and standing in queues for long. After paying for consultation fees they said medicine is not available. Why did you lie to us at first place that medicine is available. Seriously, if some one is ill you make them feel more terrible and sick.

Not so pleasant experience. We need to run around to get admitted firstly, then stand in never-ending queue to get medicines and takes 1 to 2 hrs to get them handed over to you. I went to this hospital for my wifes Maternity every place she had to visit for test and consulting Males were not allowed. This also continued till her delivery. U need to go from one corner to the other for paperwork to be done. The facilities are good but the way its managed is not that great.

Grossly understaffed, the existing nurses and staff are completely incapable. Lacks any organization whatsoever, waited (after paying for an appointment) for 5 hours and Ultimately had to leave without meeting the doctor. Doctors are mostly incompetent, and very few senior doctors available. Ambience is unclean and extremely questionable in general.

Wish I could have minus rating. St Johns has became a such a money minded hospital that they don't give you clarity on your patient health condition My dad who is now in painless world is all because of worst doctors present in ICU and iTU. They only have students those who use our patients for practice purpose. Every day they come up with bills to pay and in name of counciling it's nonsense occuring thier. We literally took our report to personal doctors and found out status. These people kept lieing that my dad is fine and he will recover he needs prayers and what not. Also his breathing was controlled by ventilation Kidneys by slow dialysis They said he had brain stroke and lungs not working. He was healthy person when he visited and he wanted to be back he believed st jhons so we did.. We lost him. Would never ever recommend people to visit here and please don't see those doctors faces who are not worth of having those doc certificate too. Useless all kids around, they have no sense to talk , no sense to treat and thanks for money making medical hospitals... Filled full of scams

Very easy to reach by bus from all directions of the hospital as it's situated in main place. They proving entry pass for each patients for easy transmission of the attender. You can't visit the patients without entry pass. Staffs & securities behaviour need to improve. There is no doubt about good treatment. But if you are rich you can avail treatment in this hospital. This is not the institution developed for serving the the poor, downtrodden etc. They charging as equal as reputed private, multi-speciality hospitals. This is the hospital for those don't worry about money. Visitors facility zero. At the entrance you will find a waiting hall under tress, no rooftop. Even you can't use the rest rooms in the campus without fees. Food charges in the canteen in the campus are little high.

St John’s is, indeed, a huge blessing to the general public. It lives its vision of making quality health care accessible and affordable even to the poorest. Though it is a national institute, it serves optimum to one specific southern state. That’s is unfortunate.

Worst Hospital, private rooms are scam. Never choose private room either semi pvt, pvt. Both are scam. Rooms are filled with RATS with foul smell in room, also security behave here like border security rude behavior no politeness with attenders, felt to slap on their face. Lafoot no. 1 hospital. Never choose to come here. Easily they will not discharge you until ur pockets are discharged. All staff here are rude they are not trained.

More like a fish market, than a hospital. There is no system, proper administration of maintaining crowds out here. You have to take a token and wait for your turn, that's it and u never know how long it will take. This hospital is not what it used to be a few years ago, and the administration seems very very money-minded. Had a consultation with one of the chest disease doctors, and without even looking at the previous reports, she just prescribed extra tests. If you can afford to spend a little extra, just go to a private hospital and take care of your health.

I wanted to consult dr Amaravati Rajkumar I had to wait for the doctor for more than 4-5 hours at last when I met the doctor he was more interested in flirting with women and he is more concerned to teach his students. He asked me to admit asap for a surgery and he has no basic sense to prepare patients for a surgery by explaining everything.

St. John's Medical College / Hospital has changed a lot. It's no more for the poor. They have started Teaching Students at the expense of In-Patient, Emergency / Admitted patients. It's extremely expensive for victims without Insurance or Non-IT folks. Any sick or met with an accident - Visits this place for consultation, is referred for multiple Check-ups, Scanning, Observation, Surgery etc. This process facilitates Students to learn during a Patients multiple visit to the Hospital. Patients are treated here as Live Lab Specimen. At the end of the day, HoD & Students are happy.

Medical College with a great Vision and Mission. It has produced many service minded Doctors, nurses and health professionals. I am really proud to say that I have seen the doctors came out of this institution rendering praise worthy service in India and abroad. I have worked with a few of them during the disaster management operations in India and Nepal. Some of the Doctors continue to give their free service in the HIV Care of children and adults managed by Sneha Charitable Trust of Camillians. It has a great history in the health World. The Hospital is excellent for Bangalore.

In my consideration, it's one of the best medical college hospital in Bangalore as well as Karnataka state. Firstly, the appointed system is too satisfying. You can take appointment for any disease for only Rs. 150! So, it's a budget friendly medical college I can say. The environment is most attractive, there’s a park also in this medical college. Treatment cost is very cheap here though you will get top class service. Behaviour of the doctors and staffs is too polite and friendly. The senior doctors are not arrogant at all. There are some canteens inside hospital area. So, you can complete your breakfast, lunch and dinner easily not going outside.

Hospital with dedicated doctors and staff.Very good system for registration for OPD patients. The two way channel for registration one through online from the patient's portal the other is direct from the counter It is better to go to the hospital at 6 o'clock in the morning for direct registration.Counter opens at 7 o clock ,so your early arrival makes your scope with desired department consultation earlier. On line registration for appointment of a doctor is dependent on the availability of slots. There are two blocks for OPD.FIRST block is for General Deptt as Medicine Gyno Ortho etc the Second block is for super speciality Deptt as Endocrinologist - (Thyroid Diabetics ). Psychologists,Pulmonologists. Before going for Registration one should consult on the net about doctors or one can take help from may I help you counter. Language is no problem as there are persons Who can help you in your own language.

And coming to next about doctors they are not well certified doctors they are all still trainer’s They don’t know, how to communicate with attenders and if you have any doubts to ask then they’re ego get hurts also they never give proper answers so how can a person ask question to doctors. Securities who stand in IP gate they are not well mannered and they don't understand anything whatever you want to convey. And they speak in a bad languages they come like hitting you. We come to the hospital for treatment not to celebrate our birthday or dear anniversary or chill out with our friends. The guy who is saying you have dressed up and come to enjoy here. Think your sister is delivered in the OB and there us only 2ladies to take Care her. So they have to change everyday. For this I will have to explain these securities for more than 20minutes when the other attender is expecting for a relevance in the OB ward without sleeping for the whole night. As per my observation everyday there are more than 3people near every bed in the female OB ward. Stupid organization doesn't know how to maintain the security system idiots. Again coming to the discharge for the patient even though the Mother and baby is 100% healthy they don't want to discharge because for money. NICU and ICU drama will be played promptly. Good advice to this hospital as a Christian community don't spoil Christianity. Deploy some good ministries sisters who is dedicated to do God's work and charity to the abandoned.

Entrance to the Doctor's checkup everything is good. The only bad thing is the pharmacy inside the hospital charges tax for medicines if you purchase there, so recommended to anyone not to buy there you can buy outside or on TATA 1MG you get a discount also. My overall experience is good.

Enter gate #1, go the non covid OPD section, show your aadhar card & give your registered mobile number and register yourself at the counter and pay ₹780 (cash or card - I recommend carrying change). I went there on 11 Sep 2021 at approx 8.30 am, I got my vaccine within 5 mins. Smooth process and no hassle.

For covid-19 vaccination, please enter thru "Gate 1" and find the first building on your right showing "Non-Covid Out Patient Department." Once you enter the building, you will find a helpdesk on your right to register your attendance and pay the fee.

I visited this hospital for my mom's treatment, I want to list the pros and cons here : Pros - 1.The doctors are decent and they won't ask you for unnecessary tests and won't prescribe you unnecessary medicines. 2.The treatment was good in my case as my mom went for a minor surgery. Cons - 1.This hospital is hugely understaffed , even for a simple OPD consultation you have to wait for 2-6 hours depending upon the day , in case you are visiting in a weekend it will take you 5-6 hours for sure. 2.No proper management, they will book appointment at one place make you pay at another place , then get the slip from yet another place. They will make you run from one pillar to another for a simple thing . 3.Many a times you will find that their Pharmacy don't have the medicine which is prescribed by the doctor. 4.If you have a surgery then the discharge procedure will take minimum of 4-5 hours . They do the discharge at a snail pace. 5. They will stuff you with one slip after another , they haven't digitised their infrastructure. If you think govt offices are notorious with their beaurocracy, visit this hospital once. If you have a lot of time and patience then visit this hospital otherwise go to a better place

This is the best hospital in Bangalore. I am a regular patient here. I am being provided amazing treatment at reasonable price. The doctors are the best human beings I have seen and have really helped me improve my life. I would like to thank Dr S M Manohari, Dr Avinash and Dr Suhas of the psychiatry department.

We admitted my dad in hospital for one day, hospital doctors are good but 1) administration and billing service is worst, 2) charged too much and cheated for room rent, 3) billed pharmacy and lab service but not provided service and not issued reports , received only discharge summary and bills, alway mentioned meet one person to other persons and issued proper report. 4) staffs are very rude from insurance department and also in patient ward administration not friendly and only money minded business. 5) Charges are higher than private international hospital but service is not good , government hospital are providing better service than this hospital. 6) too much waiting period, needs half day to meet doctor even we pay cost higher than private hospital for special consultations.

This is one of the worst hospital now( Still respect to the old missionary values they had) . My father was recently admitted here due to urinary tract related issues. He also had high blood pressure. He was treated for BP and discharged and was asked to come back after a week to treat urinary tract issues. Being an inpatient we paid around 30k to only treat BP which i could treat with less than 1k . Later after a week i had to go back for the same urinary tract issues. After waiting for almost 1hour to register as an outpatient. I tried to make an appointment with an urologist but I was asked to meet a general doctor first by paying another fee and wait for 2hours to consult the genral physician I who asked to meet an urologist. After 4hours finally got to an urologist who asked to do some tests which could have been completed as an impatient while being admitted there. Again after waiting for another 3hours to complete all tests. It was already 3pm. ( I was at the hospital from 7.00am ) . Finally after all the circus the urologist did not have time to even look a the report he just asked go continue the same tablets and was not even explained what his issues was. This hospital has no humanity or sense of time.

One of the best and good hospitals in Bangalore. Which includes medical college also. The importance of the hospital lies on the experienced and dedicated doctors.

Except dental, gynaecology. Rest of department are very good.To be precise ent, opthalmology, orthopaedic, gastroenterology, neurology we know very well. If we compare with other doctors, doctors here are knowledgeable. We stay in tumkur, we didn't find a single doctors atleast 50% of St John's doctors. ALL OUR RELATIVES HAVE VERY GOOD OPINION.This hospital is not money minded.we know very well. WE HAVE SENT OTHER STATE FRIENDS, EVENTHEY ARE CONVINCED.Covid is very unknown disease that has created panic around the world. Do not judge this hospital by just covid. You will experience other hospitals then you get to know. St John's is at top 10 best medical college in India.

I was admitted for a month at St John's & I had a really good treatment there. Neurologist Dr Poonam is a great doctor with a very polite behavior to her patients. Visiting her since 10 months & everytime I listen to her I feel I will be fine very soon. 1star deducted for behavior of some security staff. They don't know how to communicate in a right way. Patients visitors are already woried & security persons talk to them rudely. Otherwise i have a good experience till now. Edited after few days - Pharmacy staffs are quite careless. Before a month doctor prescribed INH100 mg tablet & they gave me 300 mg tablet. Yesterday 8 medicines were prescribed & they gave me only 7.For one medicine now I have to travel to hospital again as it is not available at chemists outside. Please be careful

Excellent facilities, excellent doctors , excellent nursing and also very reasonable treatment charges . But any where any place it takes time , may be an important reason for big crowd every where, I feel every process designed completely. Otherwise excellent treatments.

Please don't choose this hospital very negligence very huge death rate ..Unhygienic and worse, someone who I know was admitted here.
