It's a good place to visit to purchase fresh flowers, fruits and vegetables and other stuff at a reasonable rate. However it's a crowded place at times and frankly speaking not the most hygienic place as well. But one does find a variety of things to purchase from. Morning time is usually a rush hour and commuting via foot is the most ideal way to explore the place to the maximum.

KR market is one place to buy everything. But inside of the building is not at all maintained in a good way. But there are many shops inside and out. There's a separate flower market in the basement of this building. Outside there are fruits and vegetable market, first floor decoration and kitchen market and so on. Cheap prices comparatively. If you love visiting markets then it's a must place.

The best place to shop for anything and everything. You name it, and KM Market has got it. The prices, quantity, and quality are excellent compared to local stores where whole sale dealers sell it for cheaper prices. This is my go-to place for shopping anytime.

A Bustling Hub for Daily Essentials - KR Market, Bangalore Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) KR Market in Bangalore is nothing short of a vibrant tapestry of colors, scents, and life itself. This bustling market, which opens its doors as early as 3 am and keeps the spirit alive till late at night, is a testament to the city's dynamism and a quintessential part of its daily life. For anyone in need of fresh vegetables, fragrant flowers, or anything under the sun for their daily chores, this market is a treasure trove. The variety of goods on display is astounding, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. I often find myself marveling at the quality and quantity of produce available here. The most intriguing aspect of KR Market is its perpetual hustle and bustle. From dawn till dusk, the place is swarming with people from all walks of life. The market's popularity ensures that it's always teeming with energy, and navigating through the crowds can be a challenge. But here's the interesting part – once you're in, you're embraced by the warmth and camaraderie of the shoppers. It's not uncommon for complete strangers to lend a helping hand or guide you through the maze of stalls. This sense of community within the chaos is something unique to KR Market and adds to its charm. The vendors themselves are a font of knowledge, ready to offer insights on the freshest produce or the best flowers for any occasion. The market's authenticity is a stark contrast to the sanitized, impersonal experience of modern supermarkets. Whether you're a local or a visitor, a trip to KR Market is a must. It's a sensory overload that leaves a lasting impression. And for those who haven't experienced the joy of haggling with the friendly vendors, it's an opportunity to embrace the Indian way of shopping. In conclusion, KR Market is not just a market; it's a cultural experience that showcases the heart and soul of Bangalore. A visit here is a chance to immerse yourself in the city's daily life, surrounded by the kaleidoscope of humanity and the vibrant spirit of commerce.

Recently visited this place. It's a good place to visit to purchase fresh flowers, fruits and vegetables and other stuff at a reasonable rate. If we go a little inside towards the avenue road You will find all kinds of materials and clothes at the best price. Too much crowd on weekends.

A good place for sale and purchase of flowers. A lots of variety of flowers and a lots of flower jewellery is available. Though I face language problem there but still manage to purchase Gajra from local ladies. There are few lady sweepers there to clean the market but a huge task for them.

KR Market, Bengaluru: A Kaleidoscope of Colors and Aromas Nestled in the heart of Bengaluru, KR Market, or Krishnarajendra Wodeyar Market, is a vibrant tapestry of sights, scents, and sounds that beckons both locals and visitors alike. Steeped in history and pulsating with energy, this market is a dynamic fusion of commerce, culture, and the aromatic allure of one of Asia's largest flower markets. Winding through countless stalls and bustling street vendors, KR Market is a sensory delight where the air is infused with the fragrance of jasmine, the vibrant hues of flowers, and the rich aroma of an array of spices. Armed with a camera, you'll witness the market coming alive as early as 4 am. Roses of every hue, carnations, and local blossoms beckon, creating an Instagram-worthy panorama that attracts photographers and flower enthusiasts alike. The market's charm is heightened by vibrant murals adorning its walls, adding a touch of artistic flair to the bustling atmosphere. Best place to buy flowers. Will get all fresh and variety of flowers and if there is any function in home you can contact for delivery also.. just need to visit the flower stall inside the market and on what date you need the delivery they will parcel it. There are various flower stalls inside market and you will get almost all kind of flowers here. You will also get garlands for marriages. And about cleanliness... at the time of my visit BBMP workers were cleaning the floors... A Must visit place... Also you will get vegitables here... About Parking there is a underground parking not sure if it is a paid or not. And also near signal there is 2 wheeler paid parking available at 20rs.

A super crowded place and a heaven for street shoppers. Particularly the 8th cross and the whole sampige road is considered as the streets for shopping. Shopping items mainly targeting women shoppers as the majority of the items are women's clothing. The vendors mainly sit on footpaths and sell their items. The items are a bit less pricey compared to the branded showrooms. The quality also compromises compared to the branded one. The majority of the shopping items include women's clothing and slippers and ornaments. The place is crowded all 7 days of the week and extremely crowded on weekends. The place is not recommended for people with toddlers or small kids because of the crowd.

The KR Market is a local market that sells all sorts of stuff, but it's primarily known for being THE flower market in Bengaluru. Although there are still shops selling the usual kitchenware, groceries, chai shops etc. However, the flower sellers dominate the KR Market. The new market was designed by Sri Lakshminarasappa on the model of Sir Stuart Hogg Market of Calcutta with certain modifications and was opened on October 11, 1921. On 7th September 1927, the Maharaja of Mysore, Sri Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV came in a procession seated on an elephant at a specially erected pavilion near the K.R.Market where the members of the Bangalore City Municipal Council paid their respects to him. The occasion was the silver jubilee celebration of his rule over Mysore State. A park near the market was named as Silver Jubilee Park and also the road adjoining it. Later the Maharaja remounted the elephant and the procession came to a close at the K.R.Circle. A Maharaja attending a function near the K.R.Market shows how well the place was during 1927 in contrast to the pitiable state of affairs in the present times. Prior to 1920, the existing K.R.Market was a collection of low- roofed; narrow zinc-sheet sheds, exposed to sun and rain. In January 1907, the Diwan and other important officials visited the market and suggested that the Municipality should build a new market and that the market should be shifted to a new place as the present location was dirty and unhealthy. Later the Members of the Bangalore City Municipality visited the market and also the site where the new one was proposed to be built, near Kalasipalyam. In view of the unsuitability of the new site, which was made up of soil formed by filling up the old fort trench and considering the convenience of the public in general, municipal councilors unanimously decided to improve the existing market instead of building the new one. The members of the Bangalore City Improvement Committee at their meeting on 7-1-1914 took a decision to acquire three low -lying, unsanitary streets of Siddicutta (name of a locality) near the market and include them in the proposed enlarged and improved market. They also decided to acquire a number of private shops adjoining the market. The new market was designed by Sri Lakshminarasappa on the model of Sir Stuart Hogg Market of Calcutta with certain modifications and was opened on October 11, 1921. The inaugural function was attended by B K Garudachar the then President of the Bangalore City Municipality and by other Municipal Councillors. An official called Market Sergeant maintained order within the Market and supervised the articles brought for sale. Previously under' the Bangalore Municipal Council market shows were held regularly where fruits and vegetables were exhibited. The Maharaja, Diwan or other dignitaries used to inaugurate the show in the morning and distribute prizes and medals to successful' participants in the evening. A special feature of the market show held during 1930-31 was the organisation of "Charka Competition" where women participated. Similarly in the market show held on December 22 and 23, 1946, wrestling matches, orchestra and nadaswaram programmes were organised.

It is one of the biggest and oldest market in Bangalore. You will get everything here. From flower market to Electronics market. There are many streets here. Each street is famous for each iteams. Every thing is very cheap here. Cheapest place in Bangalore. But we should be very careful, when you deal with the people in the market. They are very rough. If you don't know kannada,it is very difficult in market. It is very dirty place too. Better not to come in your vehicle. You park it somewhere outside. Take an auto and go around.

K R Market (Krishnarajendra Market), also known as City Market, is the largest wholesale market dealing with commodities in Bangalore, India. It is named after Krishnarajendra Wodeyar, a former ruler of the princely state of Mysore.i Here I go . Haha ..First time visiting K R Market but Got in rainy day so roads and streets very bad to walk. I have seen so many roadside vegetable shops, fruits shops, tiffin shops, mobile pouch cover shops, etc. One two floor market building full of shops for machinery engineering tools, hardware shops, it's like all in one place . Downstairs some people using this to sell flowers and fruits. I have seen one masjid for muslim friends to pray and it's beautifully constructed and mainted wonderfully. Complaint is Lot of garbage and under construction area and so far heavy traffic condition to ride or drive specially in flower market its very tuff arrive from there via vehicle and lots of local thiefs are there they follows newly entered people to catch the phones and pursue beware of this place for new people. Some issues will be resolved soon with the help of Karnataka government and local police officials. By the way it's best place to some time and see the available shops. To reach here you have bus facility anywhere from Bangalore get in to K R Market bus or you can take auto or can to reach here. Once in a while visit this place and get benefitted. Thanks for reading this review. நன்றி வணக்கம் 🙏

An interesting place to visit. Best to take Metro station and get down at Chikkapete stn (instead of KR market station). Less than 100 meters walk. The flower market is particularly beautiful and the smell of fresh flowers is just amazing. The vegetable market sells locally grown vegetables. The prices are largely fixed but much less expensive compared to shops in the city. They also sell veggies by the basket (small quantity) for 30 rupees per basket that will sufficient for small families. Parts of the market has rotten vegetables fallen around or slush due to the periodic watering of vegetables or flowers. So be mentally prepared for that. The main building has many other stores selling all sort of metal artefacts, plastic items, lock and keys, cooking utensils etc. in general all prices are much lower than equivalent items in the city.

Those visiting the wholesale market for purchase can also make it early to avoid the rush! PS: KR Market is open on Sundays too. When I moved to Bengaluru a few Day's ago, one of the first places I visited was KR Market, commonly known as City Market. In the early hours of the morning, the market which sprawls over 47,000 square metres is a big contrast to the sleepy streets of the city at dawn.

Good place for your day to day need, all at very competitive rates, also bulk purchase option.. Very fresh vegetables, fruits and flowers... Best time to visit is early morning for best deals and fresh product... As the day passes by the place becomes crowded and uneasy to make movement.. Parking is a big hastle and no social distancing or any covid related precautions are carried so a little disappointed there...

Whatever is the product you need, that is available in this market area. One of the city’s oldest, the bustling KR Market is a made up of countless stalls and street vendors, hawking everything from strings of jasmine to dumbbells. The flower market is touted to be one of Asia's largest! One of the city’s busiest areas, Krishnarajendra Wodeyar Market or KR Market, as it is better known, is great for a morning of exploration, selfies, and grocery runs. It is believed that the KR Market area was once a water tank and then a battlefield (Tipu’s Summer Palace and the Bangalore Fort are close by) before it was converted into a marketplace. We recommend you get there in the wee hours of the morning, with your camera in tow. As early as 4am, the market area (around the bus stand) is taken over by flower vendors, from near and afar. The streets and bylanes are lined with flower sellers showcasing everything from budding orchids to endless strings of fragrant jasmine. You can also pick up roses of every hue, carnations, and local blooms. Needless to say, the flower market is popular with the cities photogs and Insta lovers.
