Stopped by after a recommendation for fish and chips and Luccas delivered. Great location within walking distance of the water front.. the spicy coleslaw that accompanied the fish was a tasty spin on a common side. Beer and wine selection was abundant as well. Will be back for the chicken apparently after hearing about it from others there at the time!

The service staff was excellent. The food was o'k. I think my friend enjoyed it more than I did. The weather was beautiful to eat outside, they need more shade umbrellas. Unfortunately I burn too easily. It gets a little loud inside

Update: still a great idea for a date night. The outside seating area for music has been increased and improved with metal seating and some paved seating areas. Otherwise, the remainder is hard packed course sand like a Bocce court. I've been a repeat customer for many months now. I love the Beer Garden with music guests. Nice tiered seating so everyone can see the musicians. Good acoustics too. The staff is beyond friendly and keep moving, so there's little wait for drink or food orders. I really like the selections on the food menu and have tried several things. There's also an indoor bar and restaurant.

Found ourselves in downtown Benicia around dinner time and didn't want to spend a lot of money. Most places were quite a lot of money. We walked by Lucca and it smelled amazing. Fried food? Something else? We didn't know, but checked the menu and saw BLT for only $11 and it included steak fries. What a BLT! My daughter and I were able to share one and it filled us up. If the other food is as substantial and delicious we are excited to come back.

Good music staff was efficient then they brought me a $7.50 basket of fries with two little packets of ketchup. How anyone could serve a basket of fries with only 2 packets of ketchup, I would be totally ashamed and embarrassed to do that. Never again.

Walked in for dinner and no one even came to take my order. I asked a waitress for a menu and she never came back. All the wait staff made eye contact and seem to not want to help. I’ve eaten here before with no issues but looks like they can’t handle volume and maintain good service.

Quite loud, especially for so early in the day. If you are a local, it's a good place to go,. If not, it's not the most welcoming new place I've been, even if they've been as busy. Good selection of beer on tap.

why bother asking how I want my burger if you're just going to burn it? I was wondering why it was taking so long, I guess it was because they were busy burning it. It doesn't even make sense, it's a Monday afternoon, they weren't super busy, only two customers in the main dining room. anyway yeah the new beer garden is amazing. Good times

Lucca bar and grill is a fun place to gather for food and live music. Drinks are generous and tasty. Good bar food.

This place is a lot of fun They have live music which is great and the fun place for a date It can be a bit hard to find seating because it does get so crowded Depending on how crowded it is, it can take a minute to get service if you're outside I haven't gone inside for drinks so it might be faster that way. I'm not sure. I definitely feel like they could use more than just one bartender outside. The one who is outside is amazing though.

Overall, a nice experience at Lucca Bar & Grill! The wait staff is kind but a bit quick and then they kind of disappear. The food was enjoyable, too! All in all, it was a nice family-oriented feel, casual dining spot.

Super saddend that we waisted our money & our one night out coming here. We even brought friends we hadn't seen in a long time. Our server was all over the place.. it took 15 minutes after we were seated to get water. Another 15 for our drinks, which he got wrong. Our shrimp appetizers were thrown & scattered on a plate no dipping sauce, no plates for the appetizers; we had to ask five times. While ordeering dinner We repeatedly asked and mentioned that I had a severe allergy to onions. The dish I inquired about was the pasta. Our server assured us there was no onions. Dinner was ruined for me because the server did not know his menu. The pasta had a ton of onions. At this point I just wanted to leave. Truely disappointed. May not go back.

The front entrance is the receptionist and Inside area w/restaurant tables, also street side tables. The side street door is a separate room w/seating at the full service bar along with some dining tables. Also, restrooms. Another door exits to an outside live music venue with a dance area. Also outside provides bar service, different dining menu and find yourself a table. Kid friendly and dogs on leash allowed. Relaxed atmosphere. Great food from two different menus. Busy staff remains friendly and efficient ☺️

Saw on my recommended restaurants/bars after watching a movie with friends. Love love loved the atmosphere! Food tasted amazing! Margarita wasnt too strong and our waitress Rachel was amazing and attentive to us! Will definitely be coming back!!

I visit about twice a month and appreciate their consistency with food, beverage and warm hospitality. The burger is my favorite, medium with blue cheese and a salad with house dressing. They have fantastic specials as well. It's always super clean inside and cozy. One of my favorite places to go for live music as well. A must visit if your from out of town. The have gift cards too!!!

We stayed in Benicia for 4 days and went to Lucca Bar and Grill twice. Very comfy outdoor seating, great staff, the food was really really good, and the prices were less than they should be. Next time we are in the area, we will be back.

This is only about the food. Service was five star. My fried chicken crust was crunchy, too crunchy like corn nuts. But near raw too. Not good. Hamburger was charred to bitterness. Some of the steak fries were soggy and lukewarm. This is a basic menu. Easy to get right, easy to get wrong. Anyone can look online to create great food. My advice: Try baking powder on the chicken skin before frying and don’t grill beef at such a high heat. They need to train up their cooks.

I didn't grab a pic... I ordered their burger. It was one of the best I have ever had! Thick, juicy, not greasy. I ordered it well done, no bun, not a problem here. I've worked in a butcher shop, I know the dangers of undercooked ground beef. I got a side salad to go with it. Ice tea was refreshing. The other 3 enjoyed their lunches as well...fish & chips, BLT, and a French dip. We will return!

Everything was very well made, but the pork chop was miles better than the burger. The greens are good, the meat was prepared well, but it is a little silly that they use wagyu, since you won't get any of the value of marbeling that comes with a wagyu steak, so ultimately the burger is probably a little over priced. That being said, it is still one of the highest quality burgers in Benicia. But the pork chop was divine! Mashed potatoes were creamy with some chunks for variation, which I appreciate. The meat itself was cooked nicely, with a good sear, keeping so much juice and flavor inside that it was just such a great dish.

I saw the fried chicken on the menu and I thought I have to try this place. My wife and I enjoyed a nice, relaxing Friday lunch before an afternoon stroll in Benicia. We started with Deviled Eggs w/ Duck Prosciutto. Then we had a Beet Salad and Seared Ahi Salad. We shared the Fried Chicken. The flavors of the dishes all blended well together and the portions were generous. The fried chicken was crunchy and very juicy, and it more than satisfied my craving. A nice restaurant find for a spur of the moment outing.
